Went to Celeste by Mindscapes for a family lunch and the experience was out of this world. The food was excellent and fresh and service was top notch. Swaroop and Danush made the experience so much better. The entire staff were great and welcoming.
This is a go-to place if you want to experience something different.

I don’t know the reason of less rating. Also, I didn’t read the other rating but what I experienced it’s great. Food is excellent , ambience is awesome, service is great.
If you are in Ooty then this place should be in your bucket list. We visited this place as a recommendation and thank god we did. We went here for a simple lunch and we ended staying here for god knows how long. Beautiful environment, tasty food and great hospitality.
Do visit this place and don't go without reservations.
The hotel is just fabulous which sits on top of a hill overlooking the valley. The view of the sky and the valley from the restaurant is spectacular. This fine dining restaurant is located just before Ooty and is easy to locate.
We had lunch from their Celeste restaurant and had Tom Yum Soup, Chicken Ala Kiev, Golden Baked Chicken, Tropical Punch and Apple Pie. The soup was not coconut based like I had it before but it was nice, hot and spicy which was soothing in the chilling climate. Chicken Ala Kiev was a spectacle in the way it oozed out butter when the croquette was cut open. The croquette, butter and the mashed potatoes were great. The Baked Golden Chicken was a casserole which had mashed potatoes, gravy and baked chicken also tasted really nice. The drink was pretty and it was thirst quenching and refreshing.
We loved the desert as well which smelled like an apple pie should and tasted great.
Overall, I loved this restaurant and would suggest it to anyone coming to Ooty.
The best place to dine if in Ooty . Perfect ambience and great continental and oriental food . The alcohol menu is very interesting they have bellini kir royal which was a suprise for us . Pork ribs , shepherds pie chilli garlic noodles were all great . For entrees u can have chilli pork cheese croquettes.

The restaurant serves delicious food, drinks and desserts with a mesmerizing view of the Nilgiris right from the table! The staff is very friendly, attentive and helpful. They helped me arrange a small surprise for my husband's birthday! Special thanks to Siddharth and Aakash for that! Their cheesecakes are so yum and again the view is just amazing! A must visit place for anyone travelling to Ooty/Coonoor!
Fine dining come's to Ooty with a view to die for!
The menu covered the finest in Continental and Pan Asian and was super tasty. They have a bar, though not very exhaustive. This is a must visit where you should not rush the meal but rather absorb and embrace a full dining experience.
10 stars ! Loved the experience end to end I have almost never walked out of a place happier ! Kudos to the service team and the chef. These guys running an exceptional operation!

Dessert was a day's special wine poached pear with a hint of cinnamon and cream on the side, Epic.
The appetizer suggested by the wait staff - Korean Lamb was on point pairing for my drink - long beach iced tea (Woohoo!)
Never had a fancier mushroom soup -served in a martini glass hahaha (not to mention the perfect garlic bread accompaniments)
The best part of the apps and the mains (golden baked chicken) - none of the meat was overcooked and or to chew it was smooth !
This meal eaten by 1 is ideally meant for 2 pls excuse my ginormous appetite. I'm usually a 3 cocktail guy these guys got me good at 1 ! Much much appreciated!
Celeste is pretty new and is located at a great location with a good view. Do book prior if you need to get a table right next to these views. The best table is undoubtedly by the bar overlooking the valley.
Tried the shrimp cocktail - though it was creamy n yum, this one was too heavy to be an entree! We also tried an orange drink which was great! Unfortunately don't remember the name of the drink.
For mains we tried the salmon which was good. This one was quite light. The chicken a la Kiev was yum since this ones stuffed fried chicken - a clear winner.
Do give this place a try for a relaxed meal with a fantastic view n ambience.
It is one of the most beautiful restaurants I have been to in the whole world. Perched on the top of the hill, you get a majestic view of the valley and the tea plantations.
The architecture and design can match any Michelin star restaurant in the world. The food is awesome and you could pay just for the views. The shepherd Pie and the Risotto were huge hits along with the orange blossoms and mushroom cappuccino.
You should get a reservation in advance. Mainly because
It seats about 50 guests.
It would be a shame to hurry up when you have such views.
We ended up without a reservation on a Saturday but the host was so gracious to accommodate us. Food was as good as it can be anywhere.
I wanted to take away one star, due to the service time. It took almost 2.5 hours for our full order to arrive. It was a super busy day and we arrived without a reservation, so I will not hold it against them
