Perfect place for night lovers. Good food, good music, amazing ambience, staff are generous, groomed well. Varieties of beer, cocktails and various types of sea food. Have outdoor seating with smoking zone. Prior reservation is accepted and would recommend during weekends. Value for money. Clean restrooms.

Tavern is just another pub in Panaji.... Jus like many others they too have live music .. the food menu seems lil limited but not the drink menu.. Boneless Chicken Piripiri is among the best starters you'll get here...Chicken cafreal is average... The ambiance is nice & cozy... Perfect place for a some drinks and starters with the right music in background. Worth a visit..

This place is located at Miramar-Goa. Cozy interior, modern music, food is yum and do try the brownie for dessert for bites try out chilly beef and beef burger!! Pocket pinch isnt that expensive-₹₹

Good ambience, good selection of alcoholic beverages and a good mix of crowd. The in house band that was performing was quite impressive and the food from a place like this was a pleasant surprise as well. My only gripe with this place is if you're calling it a pub (I'm not sure they are) the music should not be louder than the din of conversation, it should be the other way round. Other than that, it's one of the best places to visit for a drink and a bite while listening to great music while you're still in the city!

Hep place. Love the retro scene here. Specially the food from the Picante kitchen is amazing and really on point every single time.

Very nice place to dance, have a drink and chill. Forget about having a conversation, it is too loud. Has a great crowd there on most evenings, specially weekends. Music is great too, there is DJ playing most nights. The drinks are well priced and well made. Food is pretty darn good too. If you don't want to sit in the air-conditioning, then there is a outdoor space upstairs as well. But this space seems to fill up quickly with smokers.

Limited menu, but what is there is tasty and the rates are mostly reasonable. Their smoked tongue with garlic and olives is unique and a must-try. Also, their karaoke nights on Wednesday are a blast with a free cocktail for every song you sing. :-)

Quaint and a very inexpensive place... Just walk in and have a beer with your friends or family.. Very chilled out place

Great place to hang out. The rustic ambience of this place is exquisite. Prices are a little on the higher side, not complaining though. Service was below average. At least a smile on the waiters’ faces would go a long way

The chicken was prepared 2 days before as said by the chef himself and it was very chewy. When we told the chef about the taste and the chewiness of chicken he was not ready to accept it, even though they did not charge us for it but the behaviour of the staff was unacceptable. The fries did not come with any dip and when we asked for it they gave us just ketchup. <br/><br/>I recommend not to go here because as a tourist one would not want to experience this.

Perfect place if you want to experience Goan food, with outdoor and indoor seating. A selective menu of Goan dishes and decent beverage options as well. Friendly staff and quick service! A great hangout for a peaceful evening with friends. Bhindi Kurkure is a must try!

So here we were on our trip to Goa!<br/>We all were searching for some good restaurants and finally got one.<br/>Taverna was worth searching on maps and we had the amazing dishes!<br/>We ordered these non veg dishes and the ambience was so beautiful!<br/>The pool aside and the entrance also the crowd!<br/>One of our favs and best in Goa! ❤️

We were refused entry as my husband was in sandals. On a Tuesday night. When the place was totally empty! I suggest that you don’t describe your establishment as a bar/casual dining place and then refuse patrons if they are dressed casually

A lovely little bar at main road of Panjim towards Miramar. Extremely warm environment, fantastic service( In goa 10 on 10). Had superb live DJ with some outstanding groovy music and some cool Cocktails. Please do try tgtbt shot called - B52. Try some local food and lovely ambience. Must do on Wednesday night specially if you around Panjim.

Lovely place to spend an evening. Good food, music and the service too. Enjoyed the cocktails. The selection of food is great like beef assado, chicken peri peri, tongue as well as sausage Palau.

It was amazing when it used to open till 3 AM in panjim. late night parties in taverna are good. Though less choices of food in menu. Although I liked the ambience.

I think one of the really cool place in panaji to hang out with ur friends and have some beer! I liked the food here especially the starters. Thumbs up from me!

It's great place to have evening. The collection of drinks and bites is good with good environment. It's always better to ask the chef/waiter for dish of the day

I like the ambience.. the music.. the feel of being in a tabern is good.. but the service is poor .. needs alot of improvement.. food is good.. i love the choris fry and goan sausage rice.. and the brownies too..

Finally a proper pub that panjim has been crying out for...Taverna seeks to replicate the good old days...and boy does it accomplish that feat..<br/>Right from the quirky ambience to the fantastic pub food, from the cheap alcohol to the chilled out vibe, taverna ticks all the right boxes..the only minor flaw may be the lack of too much seating space...<br/>The ambience is quirky and brilliant done up....look out for the bar lights made from old bike headlamps and the dj console table made from an old sewing machine...those small little details make a big impression!!<br/>The food is your typical pub food reminiscent of the things done the goan way...from the chilly cheese pav, the prawns braganzato the piri piri chicken and the chilly chicken jirem mirem the food is brilliant...A special mention to the beef chilly which could (almost) rival that of my mum's...<br/>Couple good food with alcohol prices that aren't cardiac arrest inducing..add to that their easy going door policy and taverna is one place I will be seeing a lot of in the near future..

Wanna party. Then this is the right place to be. Really well designed and the vibe is amazing. Good crowd and amazing music. Must try the food and the staff there is very courteous. Must visit if u in and around Panjim. Great going

the one place where u'd find me if every other joint fails to live upto expectations.Tavern is an ode to the goan hoousehold bars of yesteryear.The friendly house on the village tinto where every evening people congregate to catch up.When u enter a joint like tavern its never ONLY for F&B, its for the entire atmosphere- of informality, approachability and a sense of familiarity.That said- i normally stick to wine or a long island iced tea when i visit normally. The food menu is very limited as tavern is basically a pub kind of ambience- most combos are pre set but I absolutely love the corn & cheese stuffed mirchi, the cheese chilli poi and chicken cafreal- add great music to the mix and a crowd thar steadily builds up through the night- i love ending the nights at tavern with the best goan dessert in my view- Serradura!

If you want to party on a Saturday night or any evening for that matter this is the place to be. Limited eating options but alot to offer when it comes to drinks. The place in right in the middle of Panaji city. The place gets paced up properly after 8-8.30 pm, so that's the right time to reach there. You can socialize with your friends, watch live matches and yes a note - please don't be late else you'll not place to even sit.

One of the cutest and artisy cafe in panjim. The whole decor and ambience is beautiful. We ordered cosmopolitan, taverna cocktail, chicken chilly jerem mirem and garlic bread. The service was quick. Will definitely visit again and recommend others.

Cool place to hang around with friends for some drinks and food. They DJ here plays good music. We called for Home fries and roast chicken. Food is good. Service is a bit slow. Otherwise good place to hang around and chill out

My usual go to place in the city. Taverna with its amazing ambience, cheap food and drinks alongwith great music can be your late night fix for those days when you wish to remain in the city and yet party till the wee hours of the morning.<br/><br/>The cheese chilli pao are great here and so are the drinks. The only complaint being the limited vegetarian options in the place. There is hardly much for a veggie to try. <br/><br/>I would recommend this place to be a perfect after party or post dinner catch up destination.

my rating is little biased bcoz they are really great in serving drinks and rates are likes you will feel like its heaven for us. but one more time i cant say about anything food. so its on you

Went there on a Wednesday night and loved the ambience it has a very quirky antique and rustic feel .. they had karaoke that evening too..this place does not serve seafood at the moment and if you do not eat red meats then there the menu is very restricted... but what I truly appreciate is that everything they served was extremely delicious and was packed with flavour.. sometimes less is more and they have just done that.. We loved the beef chilly and sorpotel.<br/><br/>We will definitely visit them again..

We don't really have places that come anywhere close to the original tavern experience, I was introduced to Joseph Bar recently and was pretty awestruck by it. And when I walked into Taverna the other day for an early dinner, I was absolutely amazed by the interiors and ambiance. Trust me when I say I have a thing for colonial places. Though on the outside, the place seems pretty okay, it's more like a walk into a Portuguese era bar right in the heart of Panjim city, with ample parking space, which is a rarity in Panjim.

Good place to chill with your gang, nice music, nice ambiance but the food is not that great. The portions are too small. It's more like finger food. Pricing does not complement the quantity.

Not a fan of their food- taste and quantity was disappointing. But their alcohol prices are affordable and the ambience is lovely. I was surprised to find Taverna full even on a weekday. My friends come here just for the drinks and don't order their food.<br/>Taverna is the new drinking place in a good location.

Low ratings cause they made us wait really long to take our order and then again they took time to deliver our food.. The food that was served was a bit cold and it wasnt tasting that great.. I guess the no of waiters there are really less..

Ordered Chicken Piri Piri and Beef Chilli fry. The Piri piri was saucy and flavourful but the beef chilly tasted just fine. Nothing extraordinary, to be honest. For drinks, we had ordered 2 cocktails - Pina Colada and Tom Collins. Totally loved the Pina Colada whereas Tom Collins tasted too much of Vodka that I didn't like it too much. The ambience is the major plus over here. The interiors are both quirky and vintage. The seating and many other things give away a total Portuguese-y vibe to the place. They have a separate open area where a group can lounge at during the evenings. You are allowed to smoke in the open lounge and the space has a carrom board too. <br/><br/>Overall, big ups to the ambience and drinks. Food, not that much as they have extremely limited choice!

Its a place to be at night. Amazing music, good food, lovely people. Bar staff is humble and great at wat they do! Manager is a delight. Services are great. <br/>Thanks for a lovely time! Viva !

Update 1<br/>March 2019<br/>This restaurant has gone bad to worse. Very rude waiters extremely slow service and worst drinks ever. They have not learned anything.<br/>2017<br/>I ordered chicken peri peri which was not that good . Virgin mojito glass was more than half full of ice. Not recommended. Chicken sandwich was too dry.

If not the best Taverna is one of the best places to chill in and around panjim.. good place to catch up with friends for a couple of pitchers of Bira.. The food is traditional bar food and its yum!! the music keeps you grooving to the beats till its shutters r down..

Only good if you want to catch up with friends over some drinks. Food menu is quite limited. Also, way too pricey for the quality of food that's served. For instance, I ordered garlic bread and it literally had chopped garlic on top of a regular toast. Ambience is okay though.

A refreshingly relaxing place to have a quick meal and few drinks. Their sandwiches are really good. Try their pulled beef sandwich and roast pork sandwich. The best part is their pricing is reasonable with the quantity and also they do not hide any taxes or additional charges from the customers unlike some other restaurants.

This place is so random. No regular water. Also bottled water is not MRP. Food is so average you rather eat out of a cart. We asked for peri peri chicken and they gave us chicken in rechado masala. This place is over rated, over priced and if you do want to eat some good food, step out..go to Pinto's or just the miramar street. Do yourself a favour.<br/>

Visited this place while going Dona Paula as we were looking for fast food.<br/><br/>We specially like its ambiance.<br/>had cheese chilly pao & garlic bread as not much hungry.  but it was good but little expensive in my opinion.<br/><br/>ambiance is this main thing i really liked. have feel of old European bar .<br/>nice to spend time.

Here u don't get even normal water. They are insisting to buy mineral water and u don't get salad with veg items. Not recommended for vegetarians.
