This is a multi cuisine resturant on the way to Old goa, located on the back waters of madovi river. Good location budget friendly they are good on tandoori items, garden resturant with river side view, there is no parking space you have park on the busy road side. Overall good experience.
A small place in Goa, which hardly comes to anyone's notice, there is a splendid restaurant in the corner at North Goa right adjacent to the river Mandovi is Gene. Beautiful place by the Riverside. Good small menu. Excellent food quality and taste. Quick and efficient service. Reasonably priced.
Stayed at the nearby Double tree Hilton and had 2 dinners here. It seemed to be one of the only places to eat on the river which is what attracted us to it when researching. The vibe was very chill and laid back. We were not expecting too much from the food but were pleasantly very impressed. Excellent egg curry. Great prices too.
The food was good, the atmosphere was too good. The service was also good. You can spend a good evening with your loved ones beautifully beside the beautiful Mandovi River. The whole way is very beautiful. And the restaurant is beautifully located. I have taken rava fried king fish and also squids. Both were awesome. It's a must visit. To enjoy the atmosphere with tasty food.

I had an absolutely amazing dining experience at Gene! From start to finish, everything was top-notch. Butter garlic naan was incredibly flavorful, the fish were perfectly cooked, egg fried rice was tender and delicious.
This establishment is highly favored by the local Goan community, although it seems to be a well-kept secret from most tourists.
It was heartwarming to observe numerous local Goans relishing their meals here with their families, which led us to speculate that this restaurant likely serves delectable seafood dishes, much to the delight of its patrons.
The highlight of our visit was the magnificent view of the Mandovi River that the place offers, adding a touch of splendor to the dining experience.
Opting to dine here for our evening meal turned out to be an absolutely delightful experience. The staff members were not only welcoming but also took the time to recommend dishes tailored to our preferences.
Good food, fish was very fresh and the masala was good. Reasonably priced, has wonderful Sea view. Service was excellent and the staff is very good... Those who plan to go to old Goa.. This is the best place for u for lunch or dinner.
