Review Blackmarket - Panjim

Every time I come to Goa, I come to Black sheep. This venue is a new one - just a week old and yet the food was just the same - finger licking good. Every thing we ordered were good - prawns, the pulled pork, the cheese salad, the fab 🍹 cocktails and the dessert. An absolute must go..

One month old restaurant in Aguada jail courtyard. It has the vibe of Portugal with French music piping through the inner bar and outer seating area. The menu is very creative - international dishes with a Goan twist. Vegan coconut panna cotta with Kokum jus, Not Pad Thai and Bao with Goan chicken. They also infuse their gin. I had Himalayan Lavender flavored gin which was very good. Vincent was very attentive. The staff are very great at customer service. Will definitely go back for the food. Maybe at lunch for the view.

This branch of Black Sheep Bistro offers a spectacular view, the restaurant presents a decent culinary experience, though one might expect a higher quality at this price point. The ambiance is pleasing, yet the addition of soft background music could enhance the overall atmosphere. It's important to note that free entry requires booking a table via Zomato; otherwise, a fee of 100 is charged, a policy that seems somewhat perplexing. Overall, this establishment is a suitable choice for those seeking a serene environment with a remarkable view

Amazing food, top notch presentation and comforting to the taste buds. The ghee roast pork ribs was perfectly cooked, falling off the bone. The khao suey inspired noodles were comfort in a bowl. Jackfruit tostada, a fun and moreish snacky-snack. Update : 4th Sept 2023 Visited after almost 3 years. They have maintained their standards and high quality of food prep. Had a wonderful little lunch there. In addition to some of my old favourites, tried the 75 Spice Rub chicken, which was crunchy and juicy and tasted tops. The Sambal curry with chicken was refreshing and creamy!

Tried their Fried Chicken House Burger. The Burger was delicious and filling. It was crunchy, juicy. The bread wasn't sweet like a commercial breads. It came with fries as well.

Personally this is an amazing discovery. Starting from the name to the ambience everything sounds different and nice. And the food. It’s purely Wow. The bao’s, prawns , Mexican rice , mango dolly all were nicely presented and tasted very good. Though pricey it’s worth everything. Please do visit for the food and the ambience. Weekdays is a good time to come. Weekends it’s a mad rush and one might have to wait for more than an hour for the table. Ciao.

Black market never fails to meet my expectations. While they could potentially do better in terms of portion size, they do not lack flavour. Tried a few of the mocktails this time, the virgin watermelon is the perfect refreshing drink to beat the heat this summer.

Foodies in Mog
One of the best fine dining restaurant in Panjim! It’s a must visit for all the foodies as they have some interesting fusion food options. The ambiance is very chic and cozy. Must try: Smoked chicken baos, 5 spiced lotus stem, Peanut crusted fish fillet with orange beurre blanc, Malvani mushroom stroganoff, We ordered: - Smoked chicken baos: Must try! Bao buns were soft and fluffy with lip smacking chicken filling. You will feel like ordering another portion of this for sure. - 5 spiced lotus stem: Highly recommended for vegetarians! We tried lotus stem for the first time and Black market made sure that it would leave a mark in our memory. It was yumm! - Arancini: Arancini balls were yummy. The sauce served with it complemented it very well. - Peanut crusted fish fillet with orange beurre blanc: This looks as fancy as it sounds! But taste wise it was undoubtedly scrumptious. Sea bass fillet coated in peanut based crumbs and served with beurre blanc sauce which is on sweeter side! It was a great combination. - Malvani mushroom stroganoff: Must try. This was heavenly preparation with creamy mushrooms and rice. Loved it. - Lasagna: Unfortunately this didn’t meet our expectation! Mid layer of lasagna was so hard we couldn’t even eat it. Service: Prompt service. Courteous staff. Price: Most of the items are in the range 350 to 450 bucks. Overall we had a great time here and loved the food. Would definitely recommend this place !

We drove all the way up North to celebrate a special occasion at this spectacular place. The food, drinks, service and ambience was just excellent. We started off with some cool cocktails. We tried the La Vie En Rose, the Smoked Whisky Sour and Blush from "The All Time Classics" section of the Bar Menu. They were amazing and had some unique flavours to it. Moving to the food, we ordered the Spiced Roast Pork, Signature Fish Cakes, Nuoc Tossed Chicken, Smoked and Spiced Chicken Baos. All these were amazingly plated and delicately garnished. We really enjoyed all the above items and definitely recommend you to try them on your visit. The Spiced Roast Pork was the main highlight here. We couldn't be done with just one portion of it. For dessert we had the Signature Basque Cheesecake which was good too. Special thanks to Hamraj and team for ensuring that we had an amazing dinning experience. Also if you plan to reserve a table here do message them on their Instagram page as the calls go unanswered. Do try this place when in Panjim.

I uses to visit Black sheep bistro regularly for their creative food and drink menu. The chit chat with Richard always turns out to be a new learning experience. The perfect blend of decor, music, food and vibes makes the place one of the best in Goa I have visited so far. The craft gin and many creative cocktails and mocktails leave a long lasting impression on the guests. The hospitality is top notch, everyone always wears a smile and makes this place a wonderful heaven for those who are seeking a break from hustle-bustle. Black market has a better parking facility compared to the place Black sheep bistro was making the place more accessible and easy to go.

Located at a cozy corner of panjim city, I cannot stop visiting this place. Black market offer what you call a fine dining experience. Quality food here is money well spent. Must try: veg/non veg bao.
