Review Welcome Restaurant - Panvel

Shoaib Shekasan
Amazing food and atmosphere here at Hotel Welcome. Had come here along with my family for a lunch feast and everyone left with a huge smile on their face. The service provided to us was top notch and also the manager was very welcoming. However we faced an issue during the payment when they said the card machine was not working so we had to use UPI payment instead. We had ordered a large variety of food including Murg Masallam and the Komam juice was beyond expectations. The naans were fluffy masala papad was crunchy and grilled chicken just kept us speechless. The best dessert in my opinion has to be the sitafal cream it was very refreshing and fresh. It was a nice experience and would personally recommend the place for a family outing or to have a fun meal with friends.

Welcome Restaurant in Panvel: Where Flavorful Vibes Meet Delightful Grub! Nestled casually in Panvel, Welcome Restaurant boasts a sturdy exterior, and though the vibe inside is just alright, the staff is easygoing and always ready to lend a hand. The menu teases a trip of flavors, and trust me, it lives up to the hype. We dug into Pahadi Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Lapeta Gravy, Jeera Rice, and Dal Fry. The Tandoori didn't quite hit the mark, but it played the adequacy card well. The real winners? Chicken Lapeta Gravy, Jeera Rice, and Dal Fry–a trio that waltzed on the taste buds. Welcome Restaurant is more than a dining spot; it's where straightforwardness mingles with delightful bites. So, if you fancy a chill spot with warm service and a lip-smacking meal, Welcome Restaurant is a hidden gem in Panvel.

It was 11.30 in the night.I was craving for the food which would be spicy so we reached here to have dinner at night. We ordered chicken angaara Which was super delicious, super nice , the tender chicken was juicy and boneless . Best angara i had till date . The portion was enough for 3 people, Not recommended for children as it has more spiceness. Another dish we had was the chicken biryani it was also hatke than i had biryani in other restaurants. The chicken was not at all dry and the masala of the biryani was also good and was not overloaded with the rice For dessert we had caramel custard which was okayish not the best not the average . It has ample seating space and parking space. Best place for all the non vegetarians who crave chicken.

Not just the gravy but the chutney is also too good. Would definitely visit next time. Thank you for providing the best service.

The Food was delicious and the service was very quick. We tried Grilled chicken and Indian chilly chicken. Both had a unique taste and were juicy. For the main course we ordered a mutton dish, which I found a little expensive but the taste was good. Mutton could have been more cooked. A few pieces were rubbery. We also tried their kesar caramel custard. It was mind-blowing. Must try their variety of desserts. All over this place is really recommended for delicious food. Must try this place!!!

This restaurant has been serving since 1962. It is very famous for authentic Dum Biryani. You can have breakfast, lunch, or Dinner here. We had kheema pav and it was up to the mark. Chai and bun maska was also good. You have ample parking space here. There is a shop for your travel needs or to get some toys or imported chocolates for your children.

The ideal stop over on Panvel Highway for non veg food lovers. They are here long enough and still maintain the quality of food. Ample lot of parking space. Place is nice and they have a separate family dining room too. Their Chicken angara, Crispy chicken and Indian chilly chicken are all delicious. Also liked the masala Papad and tandoori chicken, although I would prefer the chicken tandoori to be more juicy. Pricing is decent. Servers are attentive and portion sizes are good too.

Welcome restaurant is connected to Mumbai goa highway plus Mumbai Pune old Highway
This restaurant was expensive but talking about a wonderful taste, a taste of dum Biryani was awesome. the ambiance is pretty good and is the best place to drink tea as it will be open till late night

We tried Murg Musallam and Chicken Chilli gravy and both were good. But we liked Mug Musallam more as the flavours were bursting in mouth. Quantity was generous. Great food with value for money.

Open almost 24/7 at the place where atleast 5 highways meet (Pune, Goa and so on) this place is a meat-lover’s paradise. They serve some of the best mutton dishes in town. They also have a variety of shops lined up for some last-minute shopping while on a road-trip. Perfect for a pit-stop!

28th Feb

After having been to 2 amazing places in the last 2 days, decided to visit this place, just to share a review!

Very average ambience, service was ok!

After hearing someone complain about their Kheema, and my next table of a family of 4 waiting for their food for over 40 minutes. They were literally bored, the father was almost asleep!

So as usual decided to go basic, chicken tikka and rotis!

Got my order in 15 minutes before the next table, had just small 6 pieces of tikka, with pickled salad of carrot and beetroot( salad was nice)

The tikkas were not warm and were slight oily, seemed they were fried! Though it was cooked well but not very juicy, slightly overcooked!

The rotis were nice, but seemed mixed( White flour and wheat).

Though still hungry, did not order anything more, ate an uttapam at another joint!

Overall an average place! Noting exceptional

Our experience at this outlet was sadly far from satisfactory. We ordered the biryani but were disappointed to find it very greasy and cloying. What distressed us further was the sight of a baby bandicoot running on the floor- clearly hygiene standards are extremely off the mark. Would not recommend.

Had heard from really long about the special tea which is served here..!
People travel from far places just to have tea at welcome.!
So decided to go and have it, the tea costs rs 20, with no Ginger, or masala flavour in it.
I found nothing special in the taste or quantity or the quality.
Normal roadside tapri ka chai is way better and way cheaper..!!
Also - they accept only cash, no cards and online payments.
Doesn't accept any form of payment other than cash. They don't serve what u order. They will force u to eat what they want to serve u. Waiters are very rude and very unhygienic place. Old don't visit. It will ruien your lunch dinner or any ocassion. Very bad. On the zomoto it's written people mostly order biryani and Puri baji. And they were unable to serve briyani.
Amit Shekhawat
Had one of the best and delicious mutton dishes. Mutton Biryani aroma was strong with the best taste in town. Had One of the best mutton dishes after ages. Welcome Hotel is known for its Briyani and its long legacy taste. Would suggest everyone in the town to try.
Manas Joshi
Was once famous for Biryani, I don't personally recommend it though. Although you should try the rest of chicken/Mutton items on their menu, they're good. I personally recommend Mutton Dabba Gosht, tender and delicious mutton. Also, the Tea is beautiful. The best part, the restaurants open 24x7.

More popular restaurant in old panvel where most of the travelers can have there stomach full ..we ordered famous welcome’s chicken chilli with dal fry & tandoori roti ..ambience is like vintage irani resturent
Sharanith Nonda
The food is OK. The main reason behind low rating is that THEY DON'T ACCEPT CARD HERE. 😑 The food is quite costly keeping the grade of the hotel in mind. Washrooms are dirty 😶. The ice cream shop in the premises has great variety of scoops (Must try) .
The hotel is a savior for people wandering outside late night mostly for cigarettes, pan or chai. ✌️

This place comes in the way to my hometown so I have always visited this place at late night...its superb adda for non-veg eaters...they serve the finest biryani...also their kababs are worth trying...& in veg one must try their masoor masala n dal fry...also ice-cream centre is attached to it...& many more little shops are also there...so its an amazing feeling to go there have food eat paan n then explore the shops beside...need for improvement of ambience is there...!!

This place is amazing.. stays open till late nights.. food is delicious AF..
Imagine you are celebrating a weekend somewhere and you aren't hungry at that point, the moment you start starving it's already the closing time... Happens to me all the time..
But this place is a savior.. you'll get everything you need till late nights..
My personal favourite here is the Veg Aloo Chilli and the Veg Laziz/ Chicken Laziz..
The quantity of food is amazing and the taste is fabulous.. most of the weekends I am here itself.. a must visit place..

Our all time hadda.. It had been always the last stop for us....
You want food any time round the clock you will get here.
Giving 4 is only because of lack of hygiene..
The premises need to be cleaned.
All road headers on this route will get food at any time..
Aliakbar Khokhawala
For late night dining this is the best & the most budgeted spot you can find on a highway. Ambience is a little off but over all this place is good with family for late night dining. Food is average but its ok if you are dining in the middle of the night!!
Amay Warlikar
A friend of mine suggested this place for kheema fry. Recently i had a chance to try the same...the place is average, ambience is ok types, food is really good and tasty! I had kheema fry and tasted some puri bhaji and bheja fry from my friends plate, it was gooood !! Super tasty 👍🏼

Very popular n old resto located at junction of both goa n old mumbai pune highway. They have got ample parking space. There is nothing great about ambience. I come here for good nonveg food. Mughlai is tasty but never tasted chinese though. Kheema pav is nice but bit oily. Butter chicken n tandoori chicken is a must try. Would never say its lite on pocket. But they serve food till late 2.30. They hav got some good icecream flavours at entrance itself. Give a try after meal.

The Food Voyagers
A very old restaurant which is located just before entering panvel. It is a place not worth sitting and enjoying the food. Take away is alright. The quality of food is low. Very pocket friendly and average taste wise.

This place is located on the old Mumbai Pune hagiway near plaspa fata and easily accessible and have ample parking space.
This is basically a dhaba open 24x7 and if you are coming late night this is the place you can visit for food .
No great ambience so I will come directly to food , both Mughali as well as Chinese on offering , we started with Chicken Tandoori , it was serve hot , bit spicy but taste was awesome. Next we call for Chicken chilly in dry version as a starter which was OK . For main course we call for their recommend Welcome Royal Chicken which I find good and had with Tandoori roti . Finally we call for Chicken dum Biryani which I find bit spicy but taste was good.
Overall I had good experiences and recommend for a try specially if you are confidential from Goa highway.
My final take,
Food : 4/5,
Ambience: 3/5
Service : 3.5/5
VFM : 4/5
Quick service, good taste and reasonable rates.. This is what travellers on the Panvel highway look for. And welcome ticks most of them.. The starters are really good, the biryani though the standard has gone down a bit, still tastes good. Don't miss the ice cream outlet at the entrance .They serve some mean hand churned ice cream magic...

We have been having breakfast at this point for many years before we set for a long road trip. Located at the junction from where you fork out for either goa or pune (via old bbay pune highway) on the outskirts of panvel, the place opens early. Our staple diet there is kheema pao (for non veggies) and anda bhurji pao (for others). I always opt for the latter. It is nice and oily. Don't seek high level of hygeine here. But that's the best you can get at most highway joints across the country with very few exceptions. Omelette is another popular breakfast item here. For pure veggies, there is bun maska (bun butter) which goes down well with tea in the morning. Have never tried other food items here or at any other time of the day. It is a quick grab a bite place and bit the road.

A very good place to have food when you are on trip to out of Mumbai. You can halt, refresh here at Welcome and enjoy ur meals and snacks and then take it forward from there.
