Review Desi Tadka - Panvel

Been to this place many a times and on my recent visit observed that hotel ambiance and food and services getting much better. Only things is the space between two dinning tables are very close... there should be more space given for privacy for each table..

Amazing place we went to have lunch there on my brother's birthday and we celebrated it there , really great and calm environment , loved the food also isn't really expensive

Had been there on a dry day, had ordered chicken biryani and handi, quantity was good. Service is a bit slow. Tasty food , ambience is ok

The best restaurant in Khanda Colony, tasty food, ambiance is best, one of best to hangout with friends as well as family.

It's a good restobar located in khanda colony. The non veg starters are good to go with the drinks. Food is value for money as it houses different variety of dishes which won't disappoint you anytime your order at home or the place itself. It mostly runs during night time, haven't visited the place during day time.

Staff is equipped with good hospitality etiquette here. You will get good quality for food in every per plate menu.

Affordable, friendly services and delicious food. Bar is also there. Family section bar is separately present. Parking is not available here. Great option for dineout.

This place is really good for tandoor lovers. Also food is really good. If you are planning for this place. Must arrive little early coz tables are not easily available ad the place seems full during lunch and dinner time.

Desi Tadka<br/>A place near highway beside the petrol pump.<br/>Having both outside and indoor seating. With a good atmosphere and the good and polite staff . The prices are reasonable and taste is good enough of the food.

Unhygienic food. Me and my friend went there and ate veg triple shezwan rice. After 1 hour we both went sick.

Food is average, as we had veg so can’t really comment on the non veg part but heard good reviews about the seafood and tandoori items served here.<br/>Prices are reasonable.<br/>Good and attentive staff.<br/>Ambience is okay considering it is a bar cum restaurant and though it has a separate seating for families we were not very comfortable but that completely depends from a person to person.<br/>Parking is not an issue and the restaurant can be easily located as it’s very nearby to highway.

The food was good, Chicken Maharaja with Butter naan and Jeera rice. It was boneless chicken and the gravy was creamy and delicious. Service was excellent except for the waiting part which took around 10-15 mins for the food to arrive. Coming to ambiance, it's 5/5. The whole set up is nice and comfy. Pricing of food is much higher comparing to the quantity they serve.

Friendly staff, good food, nice and different interior. Went here today for lunch as i wanted to eat some yummy fish. We ordered chicken koliwada, malwani fish curry (Rawas), tandoori roti, jeera rice. <br/>1) Chicken koliwada- it was very oily and had a lot of ajwain in it so i didnt like it much.<br/>2) Malwani fish curry- It was very delicious, like the way i wanted. The waiter first asked for thick gravy or normal gravy, we ordered thick gravy. Rawas fish was boneless so we enjoyed eating it without any disturbance😛😛 <br/>3) Tandoori roti- I really liked the tandoori roti. Less of maida and more of wheat grain. It was easily chewable.<br/>4) Jeera Rice was also oily so I didnt like it much.<br/>Ambiance is good but their service is very late. We had to call the waiter twice to tell him about our order, that was disappointing.

I like the way it is designed. The food is amazing. I love the paneer stater. Enough space. It is just that the service was slow.👍👍👍👏👏👏

The staff is absolutely rude & doesn't have basic etiquette regarding how to reply to the customer.. Even after being a frequent visitor the sad part is they don't value their customers in any way & above all the manager too doesn't have rightly ways to revert back appropriately...<br/>I would definitely never visit this place again :(

One of the best places in Panvel to chill with friends with a chilled beer. Quality of food is also great, specially starters such as kebabs or chicken tandoori lollipop. A separate family section to enjoy with you family, and interior is also unique.

This place looks good. But the food is not worth going for. Nothing unusual. And they are concentrating more on the bar rather than the food.

Surprisingly one of the best restro - bar in New Panvel. And m guessing the only restro - bar in New Panvel that serves Bira draught. A pint of Bira Blonde and White costs you around 180. The interior is one of a kind. The servers are attentive. I ordered Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani and have to say they prepare one of the best Biryani in Panvel. Like the way it was served. In short its one of the best places to come to in New Panvel.

Food not very good. Chicken manchow soup (surprisingly turned out to be good) thick enough. Had ordered two kebabs. Looked good tasted fine. Chewy chicken no flavour.<br/>Chicken Patiala was disaster. Food did not live up to the expectation which I thought it would.<br/>Nothing great. Can skip this place.

What should I say about this place...well it goes well and with the name..iam quite surprised how come people havnt really put up much pictures of d food and ambience ,as the outside looks pretty messy but the innovative interior does justice! Me and my friend ordered for achari chicken for starters and papad and some drinks ... For main course it was paneer musallam ( which was a delight to see the name..reminds me of d murg all d time) with dal tadka and garlic naan. To start with d starter , it was quite good but could have been a little less salty and more tender. The main course was fab I specifically loved the dal!. Overall a good experience! Value for money I would say. Specially if one goes to drink up light and wants to eat starters and main course Punjabi style!

third grade restaurant not good for family its only for drunkers, manager over here is very rude food is not good service is worst manager says its my restaurant and he decides where the customer has to sit, two friends cant sit in the family area and have food very pathetic, worst experience

Not a place to visit with family at all. Food is tasty but the cleanliness is not at all maintained. Basically a joint for alcoholics. Overall a bad experience.

Paradise for Drinkers Never Go with FAMILY I MEAN NEVER. This Place serves good Food but the waiters are Rude and Often Goof Up the Orders and Blame you For that. Visited so many times in this restaurant,basicly it's a quarter joint. Some starters are very good.......... but not recommended for family.

I wish Zomato would have created a option with zero in the review section ..that would have been the rating for Desi Tadka. ...pathetic service... I ordered for egg masala.. After 10mins they say eggs are not available because it's Sunday... I laughed my ass out...finally I had veg Kolapuri which was a waste... waiter was rude too.. While leaving they asked me regular or bisleri water.. what a service absolutely pathetic.. I told the manager I might rate your hotel in Zomato... Guess what.. they don't even care!! Good luck if you are visiting this place!! I am sure I'm not coming here again.. Just waste😥

This is a good restaurant in New Panvel. The Tandoori items are good. The ambiance is also good (different from the rest), especially tge beer bottle made wallside. However the food is more salty. So when ordering just mention and then they will take care of it.<br/>Except for one bad experience amongst n number of visits all is well :)

This place was also suggested by a friend. the name was unique & so was the praises :P. So this greedy foodie (me) lands with his family. The ambience is good enough... the food hmmm well m a Lil disappointed. All the food is super spicy.. Spicy is good i love spicy but not when it's full of garam masala. Yeah they are just too generous on that... Well i am a foodie who wants the garam masala to b perfect not too less.. not in excess. Biryani is good non veg platter is good enough service god don't ask it's way too low. Non veg main course chicken tikka, malvani chicken ,the other side dishes are average... you don't get that heavenly feeling. The only thing I like here is the ambience.. They Have made some pretty interesting wall designs using glass bottles which looks really good with the subtle yellow lighting... Every preparation has got a special and unique touch to it which will appeal to you right from your very first bite. <br/><br/>I have visited this place many a times and tried a variety of dishes. Each and every time I have been delighted and walked out with the utmost satisfaction. The family section is very good and very well isolated from the Bar section. The ceiling and walls are very beautifully decorated and you will definitely appreciate the art produced out of very trivial things like bottles, drums etc.<br/><br/>The North Indian food is very good for both the vegetarians and the non vegetarians. But the USP of this place is its Malvani preparations. You will be thoroughly delighted having the Malvani delicacies this place offers. Specially the Chicken Sukha coupled with Bhakri. Yes... they have the best Bhakris I have ever had in a restaurant. They have a good variety in the Bread Section as well. The naans come with 3 pieces which is rare as most of the restaurants offer 2 pieces instead of 3. So that is very good value for money and you must know this before you end up ordering more than you can probably hog!<br/><br/>The Biriyanis are amazing with the perfect amount of spice and flavour! I am blown away by the taste this place manages to produce. We went for lunch with colleagues.... a bit waiting for food to serve but quality is damm good.

Not much happening here. Just a place to sit n drink. It's not at all heavy on ur wallet. Tables are very close to each other here. Too much noisy. Chicken lapeta is bad here. Service is okay.

At this place never had full meal only booze. Chicken chilly and Chicken Crispy are best. Lollypop is too crunchy. Schzewan sauce is best with chakli.<br/><br/>Update as on 05-06-2017<br/><br/>The restaurant no more serves alcohol, so we are disappointed. Food was never our priority. But still quality is awesome. People are jolly. Quick service.

This is more of a bar than a restaurant. Nice starters. Okay food. Nothing special. Very bad service. You will have to sit in the bar with everyone around drinking even if you are not gonna drink. Tables are too close together. Bar section and family section are separate. Waiters playing with the crabs in the small glass container was the first thing we saw when we entered in the restaurant. I wont recommend it to anyone. 2 stars are only for the starters.

Had been waiting to go this place for long after hearing good reviews about it from my friends.<br/>Went here along with my family and friends.<br/>The place is lit up like its Christmas! if you walk by you cant miss this one.<br/>We were welcomed by a fisherman on our way in, clarification: It was a waiter carrying fish (APS) to a client!<br/>We ordered for chicken crispy and chicken chilly which were good.<br/>Of course we also ordered out perennial favorite sweet lime soda, and they did not go wrong with this one either.<br/>For main course we ordered butter roti and chicken handi which were very good as well.<br/>To conclude we ordered hot brownie with ice cream, which was normal.<br/><br/>Although their prices were a little on the higher side, the food tasted perfectly home made which made it worth it.<br/>Ambiance here is good as well with mostly family crowd pouring in.<br/>Important to point out that staff here is not very friendly, could not extract a single smile out of them till the end!<br/><br/>For the food taste I would definitely go here again.<br/><br/>Food: 4/5<br/>Service: 2/5<br/>Value for Money: 4/5<br/>Ambience: 3/5<br/>Location: 3/5 (10-15 mins walk from the highway)

Has outdoor sitting option, serves some reasonably good seafood. All in all, moderately priced booze joint.
