Review Rendezvous - Pondicherry

The place is in a good location. Ambience is good as it’s roof top providing a French inspired menu . We tried cheese garlic bread and it was very tasty. Definitely worth trying. Staff is attentive and quick (our waiter Surya was great)

First things first, the Ambience is beautiful. But the tables are too small to keep all the food and since most of the bigger tables are reserved they will not offer you a big table. Food was good but they look their sweet time to prepare it. I don't think the place is expensive, it's pretty reasonable in my opinion. If there were more vegetarian option, it would have been better.

A long-standing restaurant with retro vibes and rooftop seating giving a refreshing ambiance. The food was good, especially the french and spanish dishes. The service of the staff was also cordial and very responsive (Mr. Anand).

The sea pot was nice. Everyone should try it once in their life. The pot had prawn, calamari squid, fish and clams with veggies salad and rice. The staff Anand was polite and prompt. Music and ambience was also quite nice and relaxing.

I recently dined at Redezvous Cafe Restaurant, and here are my thoughts: 1. The service at Redezvous was not quite up to the standard I'd expect from a fine dining restaurant. It was decent, but I was hoping for a more attentive and polished service experience. 2. The food, while great, fell just short of excellent. I couldn't help but feel that there are other establishments that serve even more impressive dishes. However, taste is subjective, and your experience may differ. 3. Please keep in mind that these observations are based on my personal opinion, and others might have a different perspective on the restaurant. 4. In conclusion, I'd recommend giving Redezvous Cafe Restaurant a try at least once to form your own judgment. While it may not have completely wowed me, it's still worth visiting to see if it aligns with your culinary preferences.

Good rooftop cafe to sit and relish some french cuisine..staff is courteous and good ambience. one can enjoy Live music on occasions like New Year and Valentines Day

It was a good experience. The ambience and the food was really authentic and good. We were serviced by Anand who was very helpful and cordial. This is a must visit in Pondicherry.

I can safely say that Rendesvous is our 2nd home away from home. Scrumptious meal filling you till your throat is their speciality. Val(the owner) is very welcoming, warm and polite. Vijay’s is the bartender whose drinks fixes all my problems in life momentarily. Val and satheesh (owners) are dog lovers n this pet friendly restaurant welcome them with the same love and affection they do you to their (sea) breezy fancy rooftop restaurant. Definitely must come place if you visit pondy and if you already are here, weekends live shows is a fun chill day there.

Place is in good location. Ambience is great as it’s roof top Restro. Seafood is best here, like straight from the fisherman’s coast. Also this cafe has completed 29 years of its existence. Definitely worth trying this one. Wide range of seafood and other local food. Prices are decent and the staff is good. Probably they can work on the serving time, it took a bit late. I personally felt it wouldn’t need that much time.

We had very little time to have something at pondicherry and we wanted to try something in the French city of pondicherry, we quickly dropped into this wonderful hotel, which was super clean and easily accessible. We stepped in and quickly decided on a wonderful sandwich with some bread omelet with hot special coffee and tea. To our satisfaction and delight, the food was excellent and also i had a friendly conversation with the owner and she also allowed us to manage the counter for a small video.. so sweet of the staff who were so friendly. I wish I was there for some more time as the ambience is too good.

Can't be happier than this. After long travel across South Indian and seeing fish and chips on the menu was awesome. I enjoyed their fusion of spices with that. As a seafood lovers, partner and I enjoyed the food and atmosphere very much. Service should also be appreciated. We got to try authentic cuisine as well as contemporary, which is amazing. I highly recommend this place for those who love seafood and are traveling. Love South India... love the food. Will see you soon.

We were taken care by Arjun Das at Rendezvous. He was kind and knowledgeable about what he is doing. We enjoyed the food here. We ordered fish in white wine sauce and coq au vin.

It's worth noting that there are limited vegetarian options available, which may be disappointing for vegetarian customers. Nonetheless, the cafe's inviting atmosphere and appealing decor create a pleasant setting for casual meetups and conversations. It's a place where one can enjoy a decent meal, but those with dietary restrictions might find the limited vegetarian choices to be a drawback.

Nice place for a quick and quiet lunch We ordered the seafood pot, a paneer butter masala + parotta and an orange juice The parotta was great - flavour and texture wise The paneer butter masala could have been better - perhaps they added too any spices while we're used to this dish being a lot milder. The paneer tasted a tad old as well The seafood pot was above average. Service was not bad as well, food came quickly. They have a lot of fans so the heat wasn't much of a problem despite it being a terrace venue

Had a lunch there. The open rooftop was comfortable enough, as the weather was not too hot. It is more of an evening kind of place and was quite vacant at the time. Still, food was very good.

The ambience of the restaurant was good but the food is not at all good. The service was really pathetic. They made us wait for around 1.5 hours for the food and then it was cold and really not worth it. Then the staff was not at all friendly about it. The place is not at all worth the visit and then they give you really weird and bad mouth freshner at the end of it which reminds you how awful it was.

We waited for over an hour for our food. The waiters kept giving hollow excuses. After receiving the food it was thoroughly underwhelming and absolutely not worth the wait. The 1 star is simply because of the live singing. Also on the way out they have candied Zeera just in case you forgot how bad the experience was they knock it on the head on your way out

This was an impromptu visit to the restaurant. Just loved the ambiance of the place. It had a live music session going on, the place was lit properly, you can have a candle light dinner there. It is a must go place if you are visiting Puducherry. As for the food, we had tried just a starter which was Crab Meat Masala. Loved the taste. The masala had blend properly. Along with that we had 2 Mojito Fest(Alcoholic). Those were not that good. Being a Christmas eve , most of the restaurants were having buffet with live music or live band. But we always prefer A LA carte than buffet because, however we may eat less but whatever we eat , it should be hot , fresh with good presentation and served nicely on my table . Because this is what we pay for in a restaurant. Quality of food is more important for me than quantity of food. After trying so many restaurants luckily we got a table in Rendezvous . I have been there earlier also and I liked their food , ambience and service so we were happy to get a table there with live music. As we were very hungry , we ordered for bruschetta and cream ofmushroom soup . Bruschetta was very nice but mushroom soup was equally horrible. I have never tasted this kind of mushroom soup . Next we ordered for grilled fish in butter n garlic sauce. It was simply DELICIOUS . Fish was perfectly cooked - delicate and melt in mouth ,dipped in simple yet very tasty butter sauce. Ratatouille used to be my favorite dish but this time I felt like there were more chunks of aubergines than usual . It was rainy , chilly and pleasantly breezy evening filled with very mellow songs sung by singer Aishwarya accompanied by good food and great service on such a busy day. Everything was so nice and sweet that we too winded up our dinner on a sweet note with creme caramel. Enjoyed everything thoroughly 😊

Definitely give this cafe a visit when in White town. Great vibe n ambience and some really yum food! Every dish tried has a Goan/Mangalorean touch of flavours and the presentation is so beautiful!

Anytime of the day this place would be just like a gem discovered.I loved the seafood and roof top ambience was so good it just made me forget the croching heat .I had ordered Bang Bang chicken and it was deliciously served with rice and salad and for starters the prawns golden fry were just mind blowing.Dont miss the taste whenever you are round.

Most pathetic service I came accross in whole of Pondicherry. They are not capable of catering the guests properly. The food took more than usual to come, it was bland when it finally arrived. People were puking and they had no arrangements to handle that, music was pathetic and extra loud. Overall, highly not recommended for anyone.

I think this has to be one of the most pathetic places in all of Pondi. Absolutely no consideration towards customers, the waiters just don’t care. Nobody served water until the main course arrived despite asking for it at least 5 times. Food quality is very average, There wasn’t even a tissue paper. Washroom was common for men/women, my female friend was inside and somebody started puking outside because he couldn’t control. We scolded the waiter but he couldn’t care less. First night in Pondi and such a horrible experience.

Good place whether you just want to chill and over some beer or have a decent meal. Fast service and tasty menu. I am not fond of mutton due to texture and some aftertaste but i kinda like the mutton here - its tender and cooked well.

It’s family friendly; maybe too family friendly to be fun enough for young people. I thank them for the jumbo prawns which were impeccably prepared.<br/>This place is expensive for what they offer, but they ain’t too far above what has now been accepted as the norm in White Town.

Food was ok, it took 40mins to arrive,<br/>We were given the bill in next 13 mins to pay off and leave. While we were eating the staff came to ask if he can clear the plate. So you really don't pay for any decent service.<br/>

What a wonderful cafe! The live music just adds on to make you calm after a tiring day. The best part is yet to be told - The hospitality...it is just the best...after visiting so many Cafe's in Pondicherry, the type of hospitality we received here was beyond just praise... Kalai our waiter for the day was the nicest and sweetest person we met. He made my day and the ambience became even better with this sweet "smile". So, thank you for such wonderful end to my day. I will always cherish time spent at Rendezvous.

The place is horrible in terms of service and the staff serving food. They have the tendency of not listening to the guest and instructions given for the food. Even after complaining to service staff they are quite happy and do not want to acknowledge what has gone wrong. This is definitely a place not to be recommended for food !!

This place has a roof top , very cool place to chill the menu is great the variety of food the offer is good I tried the pork ribs and it was cooked well and tender with great flavors the cocktail on the other hand was really fresh and refreshing although I'd like to suggest the lighting dossnt really match the llace since you offer candle light dinner a more warmer colour of lights would be great over all I like the place it's affordable

What's a better way to begin a week than with Good food & friends....had one of the best dining experience....food was really good.....we tried crab meat , fish kolivada , chicken shashlik , vanilla panacotta and Bailey's bread&butter....Crab meat is a must try dish....my fav was the vanilla panacotta..must try place for good sea foods.... Ambience was super and it adds a touch to enjoy the meal....

Very good and specious place but the lunch was so ordinary that i wished i never came here . <br/>They need to improve a lot on food preparation! <br/>A shashlik and a non veg steak was tasting ! <br/>They probably have a sauce prepared to be used in dish !

Roof top cafe located in the white town of Puducherry. Good overall experience. I had seafood pot which was really good, staff was friendly. The view was good. Cafe’s interiors were lovely.

In my fairly short trip to Pondicherry - This was one of the places I had the chance to visit. Located in the famous white town - this place is a nice place for a lunch, brunch or a dinner date. It's a roof top cafe with a decent set of options in terms of food. Alcohol menu is well - vast😁<br/>We ordered<br/>Fish Fingers - very fresh fish bettered and deep fried.it was a total melt in the mouth.And the sauce was to die for.<br/>Chicken Cordon Blieu - again a must try. Perfectly cooked chicken filled with stringy cheese and pork ham. The preparation time for this was longer. But totally worth the wait.<br/>The price for this was a little overboard considering the spread. Overall starting from the ambience, food and service everything was very much up to the mark.

May be a 3.5!<br/>Have been to Rendezvous for a Dinner during my Pondicherry trip and It was a Good Experience!!!<br/>It's a Vintage Roof top kind of Restaurant with pleasant Ambience. They also had Karaoke!<br/>Coming to food, We chose honey chilli fries, Nachos, veg Noodles and Ratatouille. Nachos were good. Noodles and fries were ok. But Ratatouille needs a lot of improvement. Service was quick. Value for money may not be Great, but it's worth for the kind of experience it offers. Tired of humid climate of Pondicherry, the refreshing cool breeze while Dining at roof top is just not worth missing. I definitely recommend it!<br/><br/>My Suggestion: Give it a try!

A cute place located in the heart of white town. The spaghetti was pretty good. The fries were perfectly crisp and salted. The nachos could use a little work. Great food and a lovely place to sit and chill at :)

Guys it was a SUPER DUPER amazing place, perfect view and yummilicious food. We ordered so much, I mean the best of the menu. Jumbo crab, jumbo prawns, basa fillet fish with mashed potatoes, chicken gravy, chicken wings. Not to be missed at all

An absolutely rocking place!! This place has been a Mecca for seafood in Pondy for the past 25 years and so when I went in this time to Pondy got this placed checked and loved every bit of it! My sis who used to live in Pondy couple of moons back and a family friend recommended this too. <br/>Place was packed on a Saturday night with some live music and we managed to get a table courtesy our local friend😀😀<br/>Menu is wonderful and they have daily specials which one must definitely try! <br/>We tried the whole crab masala and oysters from the daily specials and went for fried calamari, basa fillet and beef which were all absolutely gorgeous! <br/>Every single dish was cooked to perfection and the portion sizes are great. <br/>The owners look after you really well. Service was great except a small issue with one of the servers which I spoke directly to the owner who was gracious enough and heard me out. <br/>That apart, place is bang on! Roof top restaurant so the evening was even greater with a gorgeous sea breeze and some wonderful old time live music. <br/>All in all place deserves 5/5 for food, taste and ambiance. <br/>Must visit when in Pondy!!

A place to have seafood dinner with elegant ambience and live music. I ordered seafood pot with the combination of rice. Place was nice but didn't like the taste of food that much, it was so so kind of. Alcohol is also available there. But one thing to be in mind that to come to this place before 8 pm if you are planning to come for dinner, else you will not find place for you. As the entry close by 10 pm.

The place really has an amazing decor from outside so after a lot of insistence we got through inside the Cafe as it marked as '' full house''. Completely disappointed by the service staff and the staff ignorance to cater to the customer. Almost after 10 mins waiting just walked off..

Very casual, poor and slow service! Only came here as villa Shanti was full. Food isn’t good either. They took 1 hour to deliver a non veg pasta.

Very poor service!!<br/>On walking into the place , they had a good looking menu for Christmas Eve, very good ambience!<br/>We ordered the soup which was served very quickly, but after that the starters and the main course took longer than an hour to arrive.<br/>None of the staff were receptive , 1 starter was brought to the table and the waiter didn't know what it was !!<br/>Finally the main course was served , the starter was served along with the desert .<br/>So overall was expecting a good place based on the ambience but was very disappointed with the poor service!!

Our visit here was to have some good food and spend quality time, however was ruined by pathetic service and non attentive staff. We had to keep asking for basic things like water and spoons. The fries were served without the ketchup, which was not served even after asking twice. In spite of the place being only half full, we were given the bill with our main course, which we never asked for... And the waiter kept asking for the money even before we could finish the food or the drinks. The owner was extremely ignorant of this even after bringing it to her notice.<br/><br/>The food and drinks were good and so was the live music, but what's the point if you can't enjoy it.<br/>

It was a trip to Pondicherry during a long weekend. For 2 days, I never had an opportunity to taste pork. When you are with people you follow Zomato blindly, you end up being on the dissatisfied end of #ZomatoStarsForSale. So on for last dinner there, I simply Googled with “best pork dish Pondicherry” and the first name on the result list was of this place. Even with reservation, expressed by 50% of the group, I made them visit this place and voila, no complaints anytime soon!!<br/>The décor is simple but the neon light effect for the place was enough to make it stand out. Then came the food. 4 people ordered total of 7 dishes and not a single element was left on the plates, by the time we finished. Elements of each dish could be tasted individually, so nice was the balance. The idea of Chef Special is create a dish from left over in the kitchen [as per my idea, which might be wrong], but the Fish in White Wine was just Wow!!<br/><br/>Need Improvement: Nothing I could find.<br/><br/>Next Time: Definitely, when I visit Pondicherry again.

The food is yummy here. Just dropped by before closing time but had a nice experience. Paneer butter masala was tastey. Goan prawn Curry was a bliss. Service time in around 15 min per dish. Ambience is good. The only drawback is that the waiter was not courteous.

This was my second visit to Pondicherry and first visit to Rendezvous. There was live music going on with the 90s and 2000s Hindi and English songs. The ambience was just the right kind to match the Pondicherry mind. The weekend was made with good food and an amazing cocktail called screw driver.

A must visit place when in pondicherry. Had been here for dinner, the ambience is pleasant and the live singing added on to the lively mood. Friendly staff and pay is worth the food.

Worst experience ever. We went on monday when the restaurant was empty and still the service was very very slow. Food was not at all tasty. We ordered basic dish spaghetti and it tasted just the raw tomatoes. But worst happened when foreigners arrived there for dinner. Owner herself took all the in charge and all the staff was diverted to them and we had to wait after that for everything we ordered just because we were not foreigner. In our own country we felt racism. After so many years of freedom people still believe in slavery that we saw between owner and foreigner.

One of my all time favourites in Pondicherry.!<br/>Ambience sets the right mood for the meal.<br/>Started with an Awesome Bouillabaisse and perfect cheese garlic bread.<br/>Coming to starters Prawns in Garlic butter, Crispy fried Calamari, Fish Koliwada and Chilli Chicken were too good.<br/>The Bang bang chicken and Jumbo Tiger prawns were cooked perfectly and delicious.!<br/>Vanilla Panacotta is perfect way to end your meal.!<br/>Highly Recommended.!

Best place to hang out with some amazing food with drinks. Restaurant is on the rooftop, with some great views. Staffs were extremely nice and polite. <br/><br/>what we ordered:<br/>1. crispy fried calamari- good portion size and tasted great.<br/>2.pork ribs in barbeque sauce- lovely and super juicy.<br/><br/>3.prawn golden fry- crispy, crunchy and super tasty. Surprised to see the size of the prawn. My best pick.<br/><br/>Price is very reasonable when compared to other restos in whitetown.<br/>

A typical weekend where we need to wait for a while to get the seat. Unfortunately there were no calls attended to book the seats. But the wait was worth it. An amazing dining experience with awesome meat and pleasant service. The ribs, steak, shaslik and the Apple pie were all superb. Waiting for the next trip...,👍👍<br/>

The ambience is nice, peppy, young and energetic. Not much of a view from the rooftop at nice. Food is strictly ok. Chicken 65 was worth a shot. Have had better Fish curry rice , cocktails were on the lighter side.

Every time I go to ds place , I get a divine experience of awesome food and quality time! Every dish you order is a masterstroke by dere chefs and I have loved the "breads" the most. If you wanna try good "cheese garlic bread" , den rendezvous is the place to be in !! Amazing menu, worth every single penny you pay ....loe the place 😍😘😍😘

Awsome ambience, live music and great food - the things to expect from this place. We had orderd a crab and shrimp balls, blue curacao mojito, summer passion mojito, mixed meat platter and sea food pot. The mix meat platter was great, especially the beef steak. The sea food pot was also quite good.

Located in French colony in Pondicherry, this roof top restaurant is an amazing place to hang out. The white and blue theme, takes you back to Greece. The staff is extraordinary in service. We were a group of 30 and they took real good care of us without twitching their eyes. Bravo.<br/><br/>Food was really good. We tried nearly all the dishes on the menu and found everything to be good. Quantity and quality - no compliants.Would probably visit the same place, when back in Pondi. Cheers!

Beautiful place. Windowless cafe on the 3rd floor. Great decor and ambience, with music playing in the background. Extremely involved and polite servers. Had ordered the roast pork and a draught beer. Roast pork was excellent and completely filling but the beer was not as chilled as i wanted it.<br/>Overall a great place, but not easy on the pocket!

Very polite, friendly and warm people. We took our two dogs and they were happy to serve them too. Genuine and warm staff. Live music was happening. Place is white, lit up with blue/yellow light. Food is tasty and one can savour the flavour. We ordered starter prawns with garlic butter and herbs and also ratatouille. Outstanding blend of flavours. No second thoughts for giving this place 5 stars. I will visit this place again if I visit Puducherry. Kudos to the people who made our dinner happening and relaxed. Thanks for hospitality.

Planned to come to Pondicherry after a long hectic week ! And wanted to visit rendezvous since we have been visiting this place fr ages ! The standard has gone down to dogs. For starter we ordered spicy sausage and tempura prawns! The sausage was oily and flavourless and prawns were uncooked and terrible and so was the sea food soup . The main course we asked for sizzler he gave us sea food pot saying it was similar to sizzler and it was even bad! The prawn and calamari felt like rubber in my mouth and rice were like fine needle. I strongly recommend not going <br/>

Ambience is charming. The subtle whites add quite an elegance to the place. Food is alright, nothing extraordinary. I’m sure people choose this place more as a hangout than for the food.

Visited this place around 10 days ago with Family. Stopped here for lunch after a drive from Chennai. Coming back to this place after so many years and this is the first visit for me after their renovation. The rooftop restaurant is done up in spanking white decor and looks amazing with a nice view as well. The menu has grown smaller from what I remember. For starters we had the Honey Chilli fries and Kerala Chilli Beef. Both were lovely with huge quantities as well. For mains we had the Beef Stake and Pork sausages with mash and also some Fish curry with rice. Beef stake was really good. Juicy and tender was one of the best I’ve tasted so far. The other two dishes were ok not really great or outstanding. No place for desserts after food and beer. They do have a wide selection of alcohol also. In fact this place was so good we made a return visit for dinner after a couple of days and had almost the same starters and beef stake in addition to the days special Chicken Cordon Blue and also a Basa Fish Fillet. These two dishes again were standout. The chicken, ham and cheese was perfectly rolled together and breaded! The fish was very tasty as well. Only downside is the price. Quite expensive for whats on offer but if you look at the rest of the french restaurants in white town area the prices are on par with them. Rendezvous my all time favourite restaurant in Pondicherry!

Puducherry itself is amazing!! Having a rooftop restuarant with a breezy and musical ambience and amazing food is cheery on the cake. Live Jazz music made the mood more relaxing and pleasant.<br/><br/>Starters: We ordered Prawns in butter garlic sauce and nachos. Medium sized but meaty and fresh prawns.<br/>Main Course:<br/>Chicken Steak<br/>Spicy Roast Chicken<br/>the portions were generous and each bit was filled with flavours. Needless to say the aroma itself was very mouthwatering :)<br/><br/>We didn't have desserts as we were pretty stuffed after the starters and main course.<br/><br/>A must visit for all continental food lovers!!

An over hyped place with slow service and an uncourteous management ( not staff ) . If you have ample time to kill and you do not mind being unattended (in spite of multiple reminders )this is your best choice . They have multiple food options however the prices are exaggerated . On a busy night you will be stopped on the entrance unless you are a group of 8-10 as the place frowns upon couples ( since they occupy larger tables) . In all this place can be avoided .

Very slow and unresponsive staff. Food was pathetic as well. I had a really bad experience here. Stupid shit service and food. I wouldn't recommend it to anybody.

I was in Pondicherry on solo travel and read about this place in few blogs as an recommdation for french cuisine. The ambience of place is really good. It is located on top floor, although its on the roof there is no view though. Dish that I ordered was delicious. I ordered ratatouille. Food can be better priced.

Totally loved it l. Service is damn good the best part, it's clearly established that they take 30mins to provide service which is very true. Loved the food. Loved the vibes! This should go to the must visit list !!!

You must visit this place if you are in Pondicherry. It was the 1st meal we had in Pondicherry and were overwhelmed. The service is excellent. All the staff very cheerful and enthusiastic to help you out to order. We wanted to try beef for the very 1st time. Hence the staff suggested us the Kerala beef chilly which was amazing. Perfect dish to try for the 1st timers. Very well cooked and presented.<br/>Along with that we had honey chilli fries which were also good and complimented to drinks and beef. <br/>Unfortunately we couldn't eat main course {as we were super full with these two dishes}<br/>They have great variety of cocktails and mocktail you can try out.<br/>

We visited this place a week back. Ambience had a very positive vibe.. staff was very courteous.. the food we ordered was simply amazing.. it was the best I had in my 2 days trip.. A must try place !!

One of the best meals I've had in Pondi! Pleasing ambiance, good service, the wind on the rooftop and the great food will definitely get you to love this place in no time. Would definitely recommend this to anyone whose looking for a late lazy lunch or an early dinner.

We went here for our Christmas Eve dinner . The ambiance was pleasant with the host on karaoke it really lifted the mood of the place.<br/><br/>We started with the in house white wine , which was good.<br/>For starters we ordered a bruchetta which was not good at all the garlic was too much which left a bitter taste on the palate , struggled with it.<br/>We ordered a seafood platter being in Pondicherry we wanted to try the fresh seafood. It wasn't upto the mark , the mussels were fine , prawns not very big in size , overall it was average.<br/><br/>In the end it was just the music and the ambiance that lifted the evening.<br/><br/>Food - 2/5<br/>Ambience-4/5<br/>Service 3.5/5

Absolutely love the place. The menu choices are quite extensive and there's something for everybody. We had the chicken 65 and tomato soup as appetizers. <br/>Moving on to main course, we had the Indian prawn curry with rice, black dal curry and Malabar fish curry both with parathas. The chicken shashlik especially was really good. <br/>The ambience is great and the staff is quite attentive and courteous. If you find yourself in pondicherry, this restaurant is a must visit.

Highly average food.<br/>Decent ambience, but with so many great places to go to in White Town Rendezvous cafe really needs to pull a rabbit out of the hat to stay on top.<br/>Tried the crab and kerala chilly which just about misses the mark.<br/><br/>The rooftop sitting area is nice and breezy though.

Beautiful cafe on the third floor, although not too many options for vegetarians. But a must visit place for their ambience and view - very very refreshing.

The ambience of this place is awesome, designed in white with comfortable seating. An elderly male sings karaoke comprising of Bollywood and old English songs. The waiters were quite friendly and welcomed providing suggestions. We tried the watermelon mojito and pork ribs with BBQ sauce as starters which were both very tasty. For main course we had mutton chettinad which was served with Paratha (optional with rice and papad). A friend of mine recommended chocolate shots for desserts, so had chocolate shots with tequila. Over all a gastronomic experience.

Stumbled upon this lovely restaurant while strolling along the beach. Spacious, clean and a nice warm vibe to it. The mutton Chettinad was outstanding. lobster was pretty solid too. Very moderately priced. Great service. Cocktails are decent as well.

The decor of the place is beautiful. The white background is very soothing. Call me a stickler for detail, but the poster on the wall of the ladies washroom is one of the most entertaining I have seen till now. We were a little disappointed by the honey chilli potatoes that we ordered here but the garlic bread and the service made up for that. Friendly staff and good music is all one can ask for on a holiday and Rendezvous got that right!

Small candles on your table and the breeze from the sea is accompanied by warm reception. <br/>They’ve a good selection of liquor and food. <br/>Tried a bit from their menu. <br/>Mash potatoes were delicious and bruschetta was amazing.

I liked this place. The environment was pretty nice with live music(old hollywood songs). I would really recommend the chocolate tequila. We had snacks and they were good. The staff was polite and friendly.

This was by far the most disappointing dinner through out my stay... They are super expensive.. Two families came and left after discussing the menu as it was over priced for normal stuff.. Their alcohol was a disaster. I felt cheated as if they are charging so much for alcohol least they can do is to provide Good Quality.. It is worse than the duplicate alcohol you get in Daman... The fish starter of the way was smelly n goey with no flavors at all.. Had to ask for Tabasco to eat it! My point is if a customer is ready to shell out obnoxious amount for simple food n drinks make sure the quality is not hampered

One of the reasons for going to pondy is to have good food in a fancy restaurant. But this place was totally disappointing. <br/>V chose this place after looking at the fancy ambience. Ya it does look bright and white and does have a view of the beach and is breezy. That is the only reason for 2/5.<br/>Service was omg soooo pathetic. V entered the place only at 2.30pm and chose to sit in an empty table in an empty portion of the restaurant. And d waiter comes after us telling to relocate. Oh my! C'mon it's an empty restaurant and the lunch time is almost coming to an end, why should he ask us to sit in some other table and not choose ours. So not to mention the service was indeed worst. <br/>Coming to food. It was just blaa.<br/>Calamari was salty, chilli chicken was bland, fish was also bland. Bbq chicken rice was like tomato rice with chicken kept onto it. Pasta was baaad, and v just left the rest<br/>Pls do develop or change ur chef.

A cool place with nice interiors and lively music to go with it. The portion sizes are large so I would recommend sharing. We tried the seafood pot, the bang bang chicken and the Ratatouille. All the food was excellent and I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

This place has typical north india kind of food to serve with few famous south style sea food preparation. The service here is slightly slow but it's good option to enjoy some North Indian style preparation . Their wash room is a must mention as it's something very differently designed and unique to see .<br/>Overall it's a great place to enjoy a good meal and fair pricing .

Really bad experience, place looks cool and beautiful, where as food don’t . Less choice of food . And taste is not great . I referred Zomato ratings and been here but seriously it’s not worth 0.5 rating as well . Ordered Kerala beef dry which was not cooked properly, meat was raw. Then ordered sea food pot , which has 5 different type of sea food , which just spoils the taste of mouth . We were regretting for being here. Quantity wise it’s good , but what’s the use when taste is not good . Ordered a drink on which the waiter did not have any idea. They would have upgraded them on the menu . Totally it was a mess dinner date .

One of my favorites and take every single tourist of mine to this place. The ambience..the food ..and the staff are all just perfect! Their sea food especially their prawns in burnt butter sauce still keeps me awake at night..and their pork chops..is bliss. A good wine or a decent beer to wash it down and you're done.. trust me you won't even have place for dessert! I love this place

This place has a soothing vibe with food so fulfilling and staff being courteous. The karaoke that was being played i enjoyed it a lot. Ambience is on point and i like the lantern cum candle holder. I ordered beef steak but it didn't look so appealing so i hope to see some improvement next time.
