This was an impromptu visit to the restaurant. Just loved the ambiance of the place. It had a live music session going on, the place was lit properly, you can have a candle light dinner there. It is a must go place if you are visiting Puducherry. As for the food, we had tried just a starter which was Crab Meat Masala. Loved the taste. The masala had blend properly. Along with that we had 2 Mojito Fest(Alcoholic). Those were not that good. And we had ordered a Chocolate Brownie for desert which looked and tasted good too.

Being a Christmas eve , most of the restaurants were having buffet with live music or live band. But we always prefer A LA carte than buffet because, however we may eat less but whatever we eat , it should be hot , fresh with good presentation and served nicely on my table . Because this is what we pay for in a restaurant. Quality of food is more important for me than quantity of food. After trying so many restaurants luckily we got a table in Rendezvous . I have been there earlier also and I liked their food , ambience and service so we were happy to get a table there with live music. As we were very hungry , we ordered for bruschetta and cream ofmushroom soup . Bruschetta was very nice but mushroom soup was equally horrible. I have never tasted this kind of mushroom soup . Next we ordered for grilled fish in butter n garlic sauce. It was simply DELICIOUS . Fish was perfectly cooked - delicate and melt in mouth ,dipped in simple yet very tasty butter sauce. Ratatouille used to be my favorite dish but this time I felt like there were more chunks of aubergines than usual . It was rainy , chilly and pleasantly breezy evening filled with very mellow songs sung by singer Aishwarya accompanied by good food and great service on such a busy day. Everything was so nice and sweet that we too winded up our dinner on a sweet note with creme caramel. Enjoyed everything thoroughly 😊
Definitely give this cafe a visit when in White town. Great vibe n ambience and some really yum food! Every dish tried has a Goan/Mangalorean touch of flavours and the presentation is so beautiful!
Anytime of the day this place would be just like a gem discovered.I loved the seafood and roof top ambience was so good it just made me forget the croching heat .I had ordered Bang Bang chicken and it was deliciously served with rice and salad and for starters the prawns golden fry were just mind blowing.Dont miss the taste whenever you are round.

Good place whether you just want to chill and over some beer or have a decent meal. Fast service and tasty menu. I am not fond of mutton due to texture and some aftertaste but i kinda like the mutton here - its tender and cooked well.
The place is in a good location. Ambience is good as it’s roof top providing a French inspired menu . We tried cheese garlic bread and it was very tasty. Definitely worth trying. Staff is attentive and quick (our waiter Surya was great)
First things first, the Ambience is beautiful. But the tables are too small to keep all the food and since most of the bigger tables are reserved they will not offer you a big table.
Food was good but they look their sweet time to prepare it. I don't think the place is expensive, it's pretty reasonable in my opinion. If there were more vegetarian option, it would have been better.
A long-standing restaurant with retro vibes and rooftop seating giving a refreshing ambiance. The food was good, especially the french and spanish dishes. The service of the staff was also cordial and very responsive (Mr. Anand).
The sea pot was nice. Everyone should try it once in their life. The pot had prawn, calamari squid, fish and clams with veggies salad and rice. The staff Anand was polite and prompt. Music and ambience was also quite nice and relaxing.
I recently dined at Redezvous Cafe Restaurant, and here are my thoughts:
1. The service at Redezvous was not quite up to the standard I'd expect from a fine dining restaurant. It was decent, but I was hoping for a more attentive and polished service experience.
2. The food, while great, fell just short of excellent. I couldn't help but feel that there are other establishments that serve even more impressive dishes. However, taste is subjective, and your experience may differ.
3. Please keep in mind that these observations are based on my personal opinion, and others might have a different perspective on the restaurant.
4. In conclusion, I'd recommend giving Redezvous Cafe Restaurant a try at least once to form your own judgment. While it may not have completely wowed me, it's still worth visiting to see if it aligns with your culinary preferences.
Good rooftop cafe to sit and relish some french cuisine..staff is courteous and good ambience. one can enjoy Live music on occasions like New Year and Valentines Day
It was a good experience. The ambience and the food was really authentic and good. We were serviced by Anand who was very helpful and cordial. This is a must visit in Pondicherry.
I can safely say that Rendesvous is our 2nd home away from home. Scrumptious meal filling you till your throat is their speciality.
Val(the owner) is very welcoming, warm and polite. Vijay’s is the bartender whose drinks fixes all my problems in life momentarily.
Val and satheesh (owners) are dog lovers n this pet friendly restaurant welcome them with the same love and affection they do you to their (sea) breezy fancy rooftop restaurant. Definitely must come place if you visit pondy and if you already are here, weekends live shows is a fun chill day there.
Place is in good location. Ambience is great as it’s roof top Restro.
Seafood is best here, like straight from the fisherman’s coast.
Also this cafe has completed 29 years of its existence. Definitely worth trying this one.

Probably they can work on the serving time, it took a bit late. I personally felt it wouldn’t need that much time.
We had very little time to have something at pondicherry and we wanted to try something in the French city of pondicherry, we quickly dropped into this wonderful hotel, which was super clean and easily accessible. We stepped in and quickly decided on a wonderful sandwich with some bread omelet with hot special coffee and tea.
To our satisfaction and delight, the food was excellent and also i had a friendly conversation with the owner and she also allowed us to manage the counter for a small video.. so sweet of the staff who were so friendly. I wish I was there for some more time as the ambience is too good.
