It's easy to miss this place as you pass through the street. When you enter, you see a few tables laid in the verandah of a traditional south Indian house.
We visited for an early lunch on a Sunday afternoon and the cooking was still in progress. They just had non veg meals to offer which we gleefully obliged. Rice, Mutton curry, Mutton bheja curry, chicken curry, fish curry, rassam and chaas - served on a banana leaf. We also ordered a side dish - Chicken Chintamani - which was dry chicken with pepper. Felt like a wholesome meal full of spices, taste and flavour. Overall, I won't call it a professionally run restaurant, but more of a local homely mess serving delicious food.
It was nice traditional lunch . The quantity was good and the rates were cheaper would suggest all to give a try once 4 star as the seating area is congested
The restaurant runs on a traditional basis they follow all traditional ways to recreate the original taste, but the cost is quite higher and the serving quantity is also less.

I have been the place with my friends for lunch it's really cool place to hang out this is my 1st experienced to have traditional South Indian food in south India styal I really enjoyed the food .i don't remember the name of the food but really good one tks. For making my day.. See you soon

I would literally say that, it is the one of the best hotels to have food in traditional and authentic way. Even though it has less ambience and varieties.. It really tastes fantastic. Must try hotel for authentic food lovers
Seriously amazing food 😘😍😍😍😍 I loved it , lot of improvement from previous but good taste is just what every Indian who wants to eat , especially turkey fry is brilliant and quail fry , a must try - my personal recommendation for the guys who visit Pondicherry , it’s brilliant for Saturday lunch 😍

Served on banana leaves, the food will leave you wanting more.
Try the famous biryani, with a variety of side dishes- Specially the coconut chicken! A friend loved the mutton curry too!

I was searching homely authentic south tamilnadu non veg hotel in Pondicherry white town, by the time just noticed this hotel, without any idea went there, but seriously very good taste.. Should try while coming to pondicherry..
Food is really authentic and delicious.The best food I had in pondecherry.I visited twice for veg n non veg.must try: chicken dosa n crab **** I don't remember the name.Staff is courteous and they suggest you in nice way.

Best kongunadu meals in Pondicherry. Best choice for Non-Veg lovers. The price is worthy. The service is good and the waiters are friendly. The surroundings are neat and clean. Food comes within 5 minutes. On weekends, there is only Non-Veg. Recommended
Tastes like home made food. Infrastructure reminds me of olden days. Not very expensive. Good service still can do better while serving the side dishes. Recommend this place.
A good feast I had today, non veg meals just rs.80 reasonable and 5 varieties of gravy, 200 rs. Rabbit fry wow such a delicious taste.

A very humble homely meal with delicious mutton/chicken/fish gravy served.. Relish chicken chintamani and slowly brace for the spiciness of pepper linger your tastebuds.. Went in search of a restaurant for lunch and bumped into this place.. couldn’t have asked for more.. it makes your meal even more satisfying as the owners give you special attention and ensure you are fed well.. must try place!!
