Good place to have vegetarian food in the middle of the city. They have a variety of options available in both South and North Indian food. I tried their famous cashew uttapam and special menu dish of the day that is paneer butter masala dosa. Dosa was too good. Uttapam was good and the taste is quite different from normal uttapam but it is a little bit oily that can be a bit of concern for health conscious people. But it is worth a try.

It's one of the iconic Veg Hotel available in the prime location of Pondicherry. Its a pure Veg hotel. There are 15+ varieties of Dose, 5+ varieties of Idli, vada and many more south Indian dishes. There coffee is the best. Speciality of this place is that all dishes are served on banana leaves. Every item is served with coconut chutney, tomato chutney and sambar.

Loved their Ghee Roast Cashew Uttappam with Vada curry.
The soft, fluffy, ghee roasted uttappam bursts with flavor, while the roasted cashews add a delightful texture.
The chutneys on the side are also very tasty.

Best Uttapam can be found here...Go for Cashew Uttapam it's cost Rs 150 but it's worth the price the Sambar and Chutney are unlimited the Uttapam is made of Ghee and Cashews in Every Bite you will get a Cashew. You can also try thier Goti Sodas

It's definitely worth the hype. Their ghee cashew uttapam felt like heaven. We had masala dosa, uttapam, Pongal, and filter coffee. Everything was brilliant. Also, the serving of food on banana leaves takes the experience to a whole new level.

Very good things is, in that busy street you have 2 wheeler parking in the basement. Not a big one but manageable. Taste and cost is ok. Vegetable omlet is available but average in taste. Washbasin for kids is also available. Restroom is in first floor , just ok.

Quality of taste. Fame for it. Actually they were under a shelter of asbestos sheet in the earlier days. There was a large hotels nearby, even in that time also no place we can get to sit and eat. All because of the quality, no compromise in taste, good service at nominal price( compared with high end hotels). During peak hours we don't get place to sit.
