Chinese room is one of the best places in the city to have Indo Chinese food. One of the charms in Camp, this place has been consistently serving amazing food right from my school days. The ambience is very homely and quaint.
The Corn Curd Mongolian is one of the best vegetarian appetizers here and is not something to be missed. I’ve also tried many chicken appetizers, mains and noodles. All of it is very good and won’t let you down. The menu spoils you with choices with its array of dishes. A must visit in Pune for Indo Chinese food!

On 25th December I had a craving to have Chinese food for dinner, so decided to visit this place. Due to the ocassion of cristmas there was a waiting of like 40mins.
Ambience wise no doubt it is good.
The staff is really friendly, there was a lady roaming from table to table and checking if everything is good with the customers. I assume she was the owner of the restaurant. Really a nice gesture from her.
Food point of view had ordered prawns chilly garlic and Szechuan noodles. Both were simply amazing. Specially the chilly prawns. Wonderful coating and the taste was excellent. Szechuan noodles were also amazing with lots of chicken pieces in it.

Best chinese food ever had!
The staff was really courteous. I started with the thick red lipsmacking tomato soup. The best part about the food that I ordered was the chicken sesame toast and the chilly potato. They were yummy 😊 Enjoyed the experience.
We were craving for some good Chinese food and ended up here. It was very crowded and we have a wait like for less than 5 mints.
Ordered both veg and non veg dishes. Loved the taste will recommend.
Nice authentic Chinese.. choupsey had a bit more tanginess .. not fond of much vinegar in food but over all food was well prepared. Soup was 10/10 ... Starter was a cottage cheese based cook in mandarin sauce with some corns in it. Had blunt after taste....

This is one of the most famous Chinese restaurants in Pune. All the fame and popularity is well deserved. The interiors are done up nicely with pretty glass paintings and soft lights. The staff are courteous and good at helping you out with suggestions in case you get confused with what to order.
The food is truly delicious. On my numerous visits to this place, I've tried a variety of dishes, here I'm not writing about all of them, all I want to say is the food is actually very good. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but still very much worth it.
Chinese Room in Pune is undoubtedly the best Chinese spot! As a regular customer for the past 10 months, I've savored almost everything on their menu, and the consistent excellence in food keeps me coming back at least twice a month. The Mixed Fried Rice, Pork Rib, Dumplings, and Soups are my absolute favorites.
Whether it's a weekday or weekend visit, the quality and service never waver. Though weekends might have a bit of a wait, it's well worth it. Valet parking is a convenient touch. The staff is unfailingly responsive and courteous, and it's a rare treat to see the owner actively seeking feedback. Chinese Room truly sets the bar high for Chinese cuisine in Pune!

I dined at Chinese Room last night with my family and it was really good experience. The ambiance is reminiscent of old chinese restaurants with full length mirrors and high ceilings. The auspicious colour red was a major element and didn't feel too gory to look at!
According to the front of the house, the restaurant wasn’t packed due to it being a weekday so would recommend that if you dont wish to wait for a table.
The complimentary salad is amazing with its pickled cucumbers and carrots with a side of fresh cabbage kimchi. Its sweet and subtly tangy. We found ourselves asking for more to cleanse our palates between dishes.
The wonton soup had the right hit of umami and the spring rolls were packed with veggies and flavour!
The pad thai could have been more nutty but thats just a personal preference. The chicken bulgogi was a new dish for me and the sauce was sweet and savoury, just delicious!
The service is fast and efficient. And though the tables are set with western cutlery, the waiters will provide disposable chopsticks if requested.
The sizzling brownie, too, did not disappoint as the waiters left us with a small jug of the choco mocha sauce!
Overall a very pleasant experience!
Delicious food, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff. The restaurant was almost full on Saturday afternoon, so table reservations beforehand are suggested. It's a great place for family lunches and dinners.
Best Chinese restaurant in pune hands down. The service is excellent, and the food tastes absolutely amazing. Everything from the starters to dessert is top notch. Highly recommend the sesame fried chicken and veg and chicken fried wanton. Always happy to dine here😁.
I think it went back after over two decades! Brought back so many memories. It was a post- Church lunch place for us on East Street. A lot of it still looks the same. I chose this place over the neighbouring restaurant which is also famous, because the outside and the entrance was much cleaner and more maintained.
We ordered fried rice, lamb and a chicken dish. They were all really tasty and some of the flavours were very nostalgic. I was happy to go back and try their food after ages. I would go back there if I'm in Pune again.

Went there after a long hiatus of 6 years. It used to be my favourite Chinese restaurant in Pune. Totally non pretentious place. After moving back to Pune i couldn't wait to return to this place. And this place surely didn't disappoint. Orders chicken satay, dumplings, veg kebab, pad thai , fruit punch, veg noodles with mushroom and vegetables. Food was phenomenal. Ambience was very good. Served reasonably quickly. Service was flawless. Couldn't find any negatives. Happy to find out that restaurant has maintained its standards over all these years. Highly recommended.
