Agar kahin jannat hain to yahin hain..yahin hain..yahin hain.
I have shared multiple personal experiences about this place and I have got just this to say "consistently brilliant food". Each and every visit to I'm Lion has been nothing short of food coma. Welcoming and friendly host Ameya Madkaikar, outstanding food, wonderful service, and the company of my wonderful friends... Life sorted.
Total investment: 3650/-. We had pomfret masala fry, surmai fry, bangada thali, egg curry, prawns manglorean curry, mutton sukha, neer dosa, chappati, one portion rice, chocolate mud pie, solkadi.
PS: The mutton sukka was made in sajuk tup (ghee) no wonder it was finger-licking :D

By far the best place for sea food cooked in authentic styles. The fish was fresh. My family loved the food. The Kombi Wadi thali was equally good. It was a special for two days before Shrawan sets in. This was my second visit and this place stands true. There was absolutely no different in taste from the last time time I came here. Service was good. They ran out on deserts but what the hell! Keep it up. Will visit soon.
We just love this place , madkaikar family runs this restaurant n it reflect in their recipes as we talked to mr. Amey owner of the restaurant , he says his mum cook food herself n his dad was their on counter love for this family n their love for food
As I belong to same cast community i relate this food so much , we ordered manglorian chicken sukka with neer dosa , surmai thali , prawns rawa fry , prawns pulav all dishes was just perfect
Yess it's small place but well decorated we talked to amey's father he was from sir j j art school mumbai he did his job just amazingly , so u have to wait on weekends , but fresh cooking takes more time so u may found their service slow but .. sabar ka fal meetha hota hai
Last but not the list must must try their homemade dessert don't remember that name but it was too good
Bit expensive but taste was good. I went there for lunch. I ordered majorly fishes as a starter. Chicken & Mutton dishes as a dish & their special dessert mud pie. Fishes were well fried & delicious. Curry dishes weren't something specifically special.
It's cosy place. If you are looking for fine dine then try somewhere else. But if you are non-veg specially sea food lover then this is the place. Great taste. No show off. We ordered Surmai rawa fry & kokani chicken curry. Fish Pieces were big. It wasn't very oily. Fish was fresh. Chicken curry was awesome. It had that homely feel to it. Balanced taste. Loved it. Highly recommended!!
P.s. Food was so delicious forgot to click photos..
😀 Taste was just Awesome
😀 Polite staff
☹️ Slow Service
☹️ Restricted Non-Veg Menu
Lion eats any meat but you guys focus on only 🐟.Please add chicken thali in your menu and more options of chicken.
Amazing amazing amazing food... I have tried almost all the dishes..!! The dishes I like the most
• Manglorean chicken curry with neer dosa
• Prawn pulao
•kombdi wade
👌🏻 Will definitely recommend this place
The food here is soooooooooo amazing, we took a parcel for Surmai fry, Ravas manglorian fry and Prawns pulao.
1.Surmai fry
Amazing, home style very fresh and tender
2. Rawas manglorian fry
Can I give this dish 10 star out of 5. It was super duper hit...I still dream of this dish.mthe masala was out of the world n cooked to the perfection and beyond that.
3. Prawns pulao:
Again best quality, only one suggestion, number of prawns could be a little bit more.
Overall a great , yummy, unforgettable taste.
Keep the good work up!
Pocket friendly place for sea food .
Fresh seafood and amazing taste. The service is quick and their menu gives u a detail idea about the dish .
I had ordered manglorian chicken curry n ne’er dosa which was outstanding 😋😋.
The name says it all. If you are pure vegetarian then, sorry guys, it’s not the place for you. It’s a real treat for hard core non vegetarian lovers. It is located opposite to DSK Ranwara at Bavdhan.
Mangalorian mutton with neer dosa, mutton wade and tisrya (शिंपले) masala is a must try cuisine. One portion is sufficient for one person. Ambience is good but unfortunately only space is the constraint.
On much insistence of a friend, we finally happened to visit this place.
This is a small hotel at Bavdhan. There’s no aggrandisement in the appearance. But they know what they are doing and what they are here for; while doing a splendid job at that.
We ordered a chicken starter, “chicken cafreal”. It was kind of a chicken sukka delicacy. It was as nice as a sukka could be.
Then came the main course, “chicken sagoti”. A simple looking delicacy with extraordinarily exquisite preparation. We had it with chapati which was also very well prepared and did not have that “paper-like” feel!
We closed the meal off with their homemade dessert — the chocolate mud pie.
I must say, this is the best show stopper of a dessert I have had in a while. I ended up ordering one more to eat here; and one to go. In all, 3 chocolate mud pies. Yes! It is that good.
All said — this hotels seems to be specialised in coastal/sea food. I am definitely going to visit again to try other stuff they have to offer.
Lastly, the courteousness of the staff only enriches the experience more!
Had Bombil Meal Thali ( Bombay Duck Thali). It includes Bombil fry, dried fish masala, Prawns curry,Neerdosa,Rice and solkadhi. The thali is enough for 1 person. All fish preparations were fresh and authentic.I enjoyed my dinner here.
A nice little restaurant located in Bavdhan serving quality Manglorean and Goan delicacies. Only 4-5 tables so can get full very quickly. Service is fast and the seafood seemed very fresh. Loved the Prawn curry with Neer Dosa. Mutton sukka wasn't great. A touch pricey for the portions served. Definitely a must for nonveg lovers especially seafood. Worth trying!
My food status is complicated! I am an Eggeterian, Fishiterian and that too only if I like the texture of the food! Else, I am strictly a Vegetarian guy!
And when a guy like me visits I'm Lion which is a strictly non-Veg joint, I thought it would be a weird tragedy! 🤪😜
Thanks to my friends, I went there with a lot of doubt, and in a state of being hesitant, ordered food, obviously Egg Curry, but my friends ordered proper fish thalis.
I just had a piece of fish from my friends dish and man it was yum!
By the end of our lunch I had already eaten Rawa Fry Prawns, Surmai, Bangda, Pomfret!!! Damn I wasn't able to believe myself! Lol
I would recommend you to visit this place, atleast once in your lifetime if you're in Pune!
They have their branch in Bavdhan and Baner, we had went to Bavdhan.
Pros:
- Tasty Food
- Humble Staff
- Good Quantity
- Fresh Fish
- Lot of variety
Cons:
- The only drawback is the wait time!
Also, the place is small, but that is not an issue! 😊
We ordered prawns thali
Every item on the plate was lip smacking & delicious.
Couldn’t ask for more. Cute small space.
💯 recommended
Best place for awesome non veg food. A must visit. The crabs were just amazing.
Best place for non veg in Pune. Serves really awesome pomfret masala fry and kombadi Wade and don't forget to wash it down with authentic fresh Konkani solkadhi . Definitely going to try other dishes next time. Have to wait sometimes just because it's small place. Service is great. Food taste and quality awesome.
Small place though but nice food.
Every other item you have tastes differently.
The seafood portions are ok in quantity provided the rates and quality that is served.
Very clean place worth mentioning including the plates
Nice little restaurant for awesome Mangalorean food especially fish. The fish thali has a Mangalorean style fried fish, two curries, one fish & one prawn, neer dosa, prawn pickle, rice & solkadi. All of these items in a very amount of quantity. It is served on a banana leaf. The restaurant seems to be keeping good hygiene.
The taste is v.good, service is slow, but this can happen if u have all tables full on a Sunday afternoon. The taste is authentic and strictly for non.veg lovers. Only problem is that the place has low sitting capacity.
Perfect place to eat fish in Pune. Very properly themed restaurant and authentic dishes. Though found it little costly but it's worth it. Soalkadi is very nice. Fried fish is a must try. Curry is available in Goan and Manglorian style.
Only Non-veg, I opt Parcel option ...
Nice taste food, You can try Kheema Pulav
Fish starter are also good try sometime back.
Desert - Chocolate Mud Pie awesome..
Place is small so waiting is possible..
