Never ending love for chai..
Ambience- is okayish and this place is quite approachable in the heart of kothrud.
Food- Majorly driven for chai and evening snack
Ordered- regular chai and cheese garlic bread. Chai was for 25 bucks and good in taste and on the other hand the cheese garlic bread for 100 bucks with six bread pieces. I loved the chai along with the garlic bread.
Value for money- not so pocket friendly but what else can you expect in the heart of the Kothrud city.

Drop in for some hot cuppa of lemongrass chai and crispy garama garam kanda and moog bhaji
Totally VFM
Chai express has always been a go to place when it comes to casual Hangouts with friends and basically tight pockets! Theyhv got some really good stuff at very reasonable and pocket Friendly prices!
Just like the name suggests, it's a place that masters in a beverage that not only tastes great and makes you feel refreshed but also hits directly to the soul, Chai-Chaha-Tea. Being a chai person I can assure you that I have had different kinds of teas from many places, so trust me when I say that chai katta serves some really really good chai!
O would recommend you to try their Ginger Tea, Elaichi Tea and Nutmeg tea (if available). You can also combine it with snacks and breakfast options like sabudana Khichadi which is really tasty, Maggie...well good old Maggie won't disappoint you! Or the old partners of chai such as bread butter or jam butter!
It's a small place opposite to Starbucks near Karishma society (oh btw, you'd rather spend your time here than spending it in Starbucks...just saying). Usually has heaps of customers during the evening time so you might have to wait!
#BonAppetit
I tried all types of tea here and m in just love with the taste you get. This is not the amruttulya tea. The aromatic smell of each type is refreshing. You nust have sabudana khichadi too.
A small place but worth visiting.!
Sabudana Khichadi Or Maggi and Adrak Chai is a wonderful combination.
A nice place to just have tea and chillax for a while.!
We Had - 1) Maggi 2) Sabudana Khichadi 3)Dahi Aloo Tikki 4)Chai
Food- 4/5

A nice quiet evening brought me here to catch up with an old friend. Mighty good decision, because not only was the food delicious, but it's a really nice place to just sit and chat. The cinammon tea and cold coffee are both good...nothing extraordinary there though. The cheese chilli toast however is absolutely amazing and the mushroom toast was the highlight for me. Definitely would go again to try the rest if the vast menu.
Wonderful place , very helpful people , great food
I go there often with friends and family . Have tasted the entire menu , everything is absolutely great . Full value for money , whether it is Poha or Misal Pav or Mushroom sandwich , the variety of tea and coffee , everything is really good . The simplicity of the food makes it very close to soul food
Favourite hangout place for me and my friends. The food here is awesome. Sabudana khichdi, poha and misal are few of our favourites. They have a huge variety of teas. I absolutely love their lemongrass tea. This is one place which has never disappointed us in terms of quality, taste and quantity!
Chai Express
Ahead of the Starbucks in Kothrud is another crowded place. This place is called chai express. Very rarely have I found this place to be empty. It can be attributed to the fact that this place serves some decent tea and food. The place is quite small and holds just 3 tables inside and 6 tables outside. The wait time is usually of about 15 mins.
I have been to this place multiple times and have ordered different items here. They serve some spicy misal. One of the things that I love at this place is sabu wada. The sabu wada is crispy and has a nice crunch. It is served with some sweetened yogurt. This place also serves pretty good moong dal wada. But the main attraction of the place is their variety of chais. I have tried their ginger, mint, lemon grass, masala and elachi and everyone of them is good. The tea is made as per order and so they take some time to arrive but are really hot and fresh. They also serve the combination of any of the two teas.
To put in a nutshell, this place is a nice little extruded version of a thela. They serve some awesome tea. Do try their Sabu Wada.
Not to be missed: Sabu Wada
Costs: Quite easy on pocket

This is one of the best option for your morning breakfast as well as evening snacks.
Quiet famous for in and around Karishma society people.
At it has 8 tables only and chairs are of plastic so not so cozy, it gets full quickly and so you will have to wait for sometime to get a table.
Food taste is good but also prices are only quiet on higher side.
We tried Tea (₹35), Poha (₹60) and Sabudana khichdi (₹80), all were worth trying.
Service is bit slow.
A good place to chat over chai and spend an hour or so!
Must try!
Parking is available in front of the store on odd even dates.
Paneer paratha is must try. Sabudana is the best. Misal is good. Bread chivda is okayish. Aloo and paneer Paratha is must try. Only problem is service very slow.
A quieter chai place, not like the amrutatulya out there. It's also much costlier than an amrutatulya. Well, it's not exactly a chai place, it's a cafe!
The ginger tea was good, strong on ginger. The virgin mohito wasn't bad. The seating is comfortable. Had a good chat with friends.
Good filter coffee. But one suggestion being health conscious personal, reduce the quantity or make available as small or large cup. Huge quantities may go waste. And actually this suggestion is for cafes across...
This place is great! Staff is also really friendly. Food is pretty good and for their prices it’s 100% worth it.
One of the best places to hang out and chat over a cup of chai or coffee and some maggi or sandwiches and one of the most affordable places in Kothrud. Do not expect a lavish surrounding, you will experience simple nice sit- out tables here under the sunshine! Good varieties of chai, Tulsi tea is a must try.. Maggi, cold coffee, Cheese chilli toast and Sabudana khichdi are also good.
You will get different types of tea at this place , rush all the time ,specially on tea time in morning and evening , very difficult to get parking near this place , you will get 2 wheeler parking but for car it's very difficult , service is not quick in pick hours , place is small so you have to wait to get chairs and table , though you will get chairs you will be surprised looking at the menu card normal regular tea cost 25 rs where you will get nice tea in 10 ruppe , yes you are charged for place and hygiene ,place is clean enough , tea served in glass as same as normal place or or tapari , but test is little different , for suger less tea you have to wait long , over all good place if you want to sit and chat chat with chai and with special loved ones , it's good option to CCD not expensive as compair to CCD
Latest update - there is only one guy now days he take care of billing , orders and table delivery and big problem he insist to pay only in cash now days only cash payment is the option available here
A good place to have some time out sipping their delicious tea. Apart from that, the snacks are also amazing. Do try out their Pohe, homely taste with lots of condiments the taste of which lingers in your mouth. Tea and Pohe is my favourite at this outlet. Worth the visit
Variety of tea & snacks, most of the items are tasty. A good place to have tea with friends & / or family.
Service is good. Limited seats, usually full in the evenings.
Can improve the packing for take away.
Active and Vibrant Space to hangout with your friends and family . Great variety of Chai accompanied by Good Snacking.
