Delicious and value for money Punjabi food. Every thing they offer is above average when it comes to taste and quality. Lassi and Kadi chawal are exceptionally good. Seating is bit cramped so won't recommend for more than 4 people. Also no air-conditioning also. They also provide take away with parteners like swiggy and foodpanda

Food quality is very good. Staff is very professional,friendly and young.I have taken dinner as well as take away at this place several times and I found no deviation in quality of food and their services. They are really good at what they are doing and one can see that in their service and food quality.

The quality of food is good but from last few weeks may be due to change in staff the food has lost its original taste. Or else I loved the place. Very economical place. And the owner/staff is also good and friendly.

Authentic Panjabi taste, it is famous for chole kulcha and stuffed parathas. Ambience is not much good but its okay justified with its good taste, economical price and happening music. Nice north indian bread/ parathas options available. Worth visit it

It's simple but good restaurant. Ambience is dull and food menu has limited items, but that's good in its segment. Roti and Lachcha Paratha are made of whole wheat and not maida. Malai Lassi is amazing with loads of Malai. It's a must try if you visit this restaurant.

Good and authentic Punjabi taste you will not get in Shetty restaurant. You will want to visit more often. Forget about Ambiance just taste the food.

Very limited yet super awesome dishes this place(Yoda! 😀) Economically viable and great treat for your taste buds. The place is small yet hosts comfort. Enjoyed desi garlic bread and paneer butter masala. Patiala lassi is superfantastic

I visited 'Hotel California' with a friend who stays in Pimple Saudagar. The name strikes a chord with a famous number from Eagles and so I had a perception that it must be a continental, trendy, hip-hop place, but was taken aback by a cute surprise when I found out that it was actually a Punjabi restaurant. A very small comfy place but three cheers for their food and service quality. I received the fastest service experience at Hotel California, where food was served in less than five minutes after we entered the restaurant. Food is very reasonable and one ought to try their combos viz. Lacchaa Parantha, Kulcha and Rice combos. This is only place on Earth where I have seen an item called 'Lassi Pitcher'. :P :P The Rabdi Kheer served here is also their specialty. Do visit if you happen to be around Pimple Saudagar !!

The food here is absolutely close to my heart. The rajma, missi roti, Dal makhni all delicious and they're quite inexpensive. Like their combos as well. Their delivery time is also very less. Would highly recommend this.

I ordered two combos for delivery, I feel that naan were too thick and kulcha were bit more salty in taste. Paneer of the day and Chole were good and even had good quantity. Overall average experience so giving ratings accordingly.

If you are a north indian food lover this place is best for you.<br/>In a busy day we were looking for good north india food for dinner and i think we got the right place. Dal makhni, butter naan, lassi, kadhi pakoda all is just awsm. And when you are done with the food lassi is the best to have and to digest the salt :)

Hotel California is like a second home to me!! I frequent here a lot to have the Kadhi Chawal which never fails to put my craving away. And the DGB is a must have for me Everytime.Friendly staff and I like the feels of the place too!!

Ordered food yesterday from TPD California via zomato and it was too spicy when instructions weee given that make less spicy .... DAL was like water no taste and some stinking smell coming .......bread was totally cold seems made 2-3 hours ago and just sent .... so bad quality of food from this restaurant .... pls avoid this or don’t order via zomato ...../

Don't judge the place on the basis of location. Had tried dal makhani n trust me it's the best dal makhani I had in Pune. The service is good, so are the people serving there. Must give a visit to enjoy the yummy food at reasonable price. :)

It was not the first time i been there, but every time i visited experience is too good and satisfying my mouth buds. I am visiting this place from last 4-5 years. I don’t know how i missed to review this place. Here it is now. Its a small place and has limited menu but thats good because they are still good in maintaining the taste of food. Authentic north indian food and speciality of this place is they serve garama garam roti which you cannot stop eating and ordering. Everyone is polite there they listen to you very well and understand your need. Please visit this place i insists.

Ordered Paneer of the Day with laccha parantha. POTD was okayish but parantha was good. Would be helpful, if they would let their customers know what kind of paneer they cook in so called " Paneer of the Day" dish.

Ordered Paneer Chilli Parantha, which is good as always. It will be good if complimentary pickle and curd also sent like we get at the time of eat-in.

Its not the first time I have ordered from this restaurant and not the first time that they have pissed me off with there bad service but yesterday was beyond limit.<br/>Yesterday when I ordered food from here, it was supposed to delivered by 45 mins. On 44th min, the status shows that the delivery person left.<br/>Then I call the restaurant, the person told me that the delivery person left 10 min before and he is facing some problem in locating my house, also he shared the number of the delivery person.<br/>When I called him, delivery person told me that it would take 15 - 20 mins more for the delivery (and let me tell my home is at 10 minutes distance from the restaurant.) I repeatedly asked him that does he know the address and he confidently said yes. Again after 10 mins, I called him and then he told that by mistake he came to some other appartment and he is on his way. After 10 mins, when I again call him, then the restaurant person pick up the call and told me that the delivery person came back as he is not able to locate<br/><br/>These restaurant has taken us for granted as if they are delivering food for free. not only I was embarrassed in front of my guest but also was surprised by seeing the audacity of the restaurant person, who was saying it to me that he has process for the refund and if I wish I can have the food too.<br/><br/>So Mr. California TPD, first try to learn respect of yours customers time and do justice with your work!!!

Ordered food from here after listening some good reviews. Aloo Paratha was just fine, however kadhee was nice. Would have been rated 4 star but order was delivered late so taking out one star.

i ordered kadhee, buttermilk and lassi. Kadhee was not at all tasting like kadhee. Weird smell was coming from food and butter milk. Lassi was okay.

I visited this place twice in two days as it is a very good option for authentic Punjabi food. Though the place is small, the ambience is nice and cozy. The music is great.We had Maharaja thali the first time which had chhole, kadhi pakoda and bhindi along with Missi roti and raita. The portions are sufficient for two people and it is super light on your pocket. We were amazed to see so much variety in a thali for just 200 bucks. And when we thought we couldn't get anything better than what we just had, the Rabdi kheer just exceeded our expectations. Kheer was thick and covered with nuts and that too just for 30 rupees. Would definitely go there often. :)

Food was good in taste and quality. Delivery person missed to pick up butter roti which was sent upon calling restaurant and delivered in quick time.

I had ordered Rabdi kheer some 2-3 days before and when it was delivered to me, the whole kheer had spilled inside the polythene. This could have happened unknowingly. But then when I had called restaurant to complaint about it they told they will re deliver it. But then no response from them after then. Hence writing a review so that people should be aware about it.

Seating was ok-ish,country music was helping to create an ambience.Staff was courteous and helpful.Now let's talk about the food, this place was suggested by one of my friends claim@ing it to be the taste that one can find in Delhi or north indian region but may be the highly built expectations was the reason we were disappointed.Ordered paneer of that day ( paneer butter masala) and dal but the taste was not good rather it was deprived of the basic flavours these two dishes usualy have. We had their garlic bread and that is a must have here and possibly a reason I will visit here again just to have that. A pure veg place, best known for their Kulchas and combos. Have been here many times, the food is always good, and light on pocket. Have tried the Dal Makhani Combo, Thalis, and stuffed kulchas. Dal Makhani has always been a must order here, with authentic punjabi taste. The kulchas are also tasty with sufficient amount of filling in them. Would like to see more options in their menu. All in all, a definite go to place to have some good time over delicious food.

Food is good but please do not order online.Delivery time is nearly 1hr 30 min for just few 500 metres. And also restaurant doesn't pick up call. Leaving a voice mail message doesn't help.

I am delighted with the food every time I order from them. Taste has been consistently good.<br/>I ordered kadhi and ghee roti with buttermilk, lassi n kheer. I must say everything was perfect. Kadhi was very tasty. Lassi was not at all watery but pure curd....Punjabi style. Roti is big in size and cooked to perfection with pure wheat flour; with ghee instead of butter on it (unlike most of the restaurants). Kheer was simply finger-licking awesome....just like my mom cooks.<br/>Thanks hotel California for a wonderful meal....yet again !! 😀<br/>

This place located in Pimple Saudagar serves one of the best Chole Kulcha. It's a small joint with a simple and short menu. I tried Chole Kulcha Combo, Paneer Kulcha, Lassi and Kadi Chawal here. And let me tell you none of them disappointed me. Specially Chole, they are just wow, too delicious, perfect in consistency, soft, perfectly cooked, spicy and rich in gravy. Kulcha, both Paneer and Aloo-Pyaaz Kulcha are tasty. Stuffing is good enough in Kulcha's. Kadi Chawal are too good. Kadi is how it should be, not so thin in consistency. Sitting is quite simple. Service is good and fast. Serving staff is too helpful and polite. Quantity is good especially in combos. This place is value for money. Overall thumps up from my side.

Food is awesome... once I Ordered KADI only instead of KADI chaval at 10:15.. owner came again to deliver rice even after restaurant was closed. Humanity at its best. Awesome Sahi bhalla and kheer.😘😘

Tried only parathas as of now. Taste is really good. 1 paratha with malai lassi will full your stomach. Affordable. Service is appreciable. Recommended.

A small place to have good Punjabi food.Started by few IT  people and it has been given the name from the famous 'Hotel California' song.Also the restro has been decorated with different band poster.The malai lassi was awesomeee. We also had aloo paratha, butter naan and kadai paneer (paneer of the day). All really tastes good.Overall a good experience.

Was shopping in Spot18 mall and wanted to have dinner in nearby restaurant. After searching on Zomato, I came across this place. The place is easy to spot and very pocket friendly.<br/>We ordered DGB, paneer of the day(paneer Butter masala), dal makhani and lassi. Ordered DGB after reading lot of praise from Zomato reviewers and It was delicious. Paneer Butter masala was very tasty.<br/>I liked their concept of taking order though the sticky note pad given on every table. Prevents miscommunication in order.<br/>Also another thing which I liked is a mirror placed between two sections to let the waiters see through the mirror if customers need any help without disturbing them.<br/>However they can improve seatings a bit to make it more comfortable.<br/>In short, Great pocket friendly food and a must visit.

Simply loved the food here. Truly authentic and prepared with care. Loved DGB, Cholay & the delicious  Dal-Makhni. Naan and Kulcha were soft and fresh. Icing on the cake was the desert of the day - Gulab Jamoon Laid back Ambiance is inviting too. Would definitely return to try more dishes here.

Well I have seen this place from day 1 when it was opened in temporary structure near Gmart 3-4 years back,it was started by few IT employees,it immediately caught attention as punjabi food and combos they were offering was in affordable thalis was not offered by anyone else to meet huge appetite of bachelors in pimple Saudagar,in 3-4 years pimple saudagar has Changed also this restaurant moved to permanent structure near Shivar chauk only thing that has no changed is their dal Makhani which I order once in a while and enjoy

After getting a recommendation from my friend, went to have dinner. The setup is really cool with neo lights, wordings and photos. Food is somewhat okay. As per my friend food used to be awesome at this place may be there is some kind of changes. Will be visiting again to see for any progress.

Ordered food from here first time. Given the place had 3.7 rating I was expecting really good food. I ordered combo meal with kadhi pakoda & paneer.Kadhi was tasteless and salty. Roti had a weird taste. I don't know seems to be some problem with aata. Never going to order from this place again.

This place is opposite spot 18 mall. It's a small place with about 5-6 tables. I went there with my colleagues for dinner after a late evening movie show. We ordered chole, paneer, kadhi pakoda and daal makhani. The paneer was really bad! Other 3 things were pretty good. The food is cheap and the service is poor. They play good classic Rock music which is what I like about the place. Overall, they offer value for money good.

Ordered from here via Zomato. I had ordered Chhole, Kadhi pakoda and dahi bhalla because we had made paratha and rice at home. Promised delivery time was 30m which is the only reason we ordered from there and paid Rs 30 extra for packing and delivery. Order arrived after 50m. The delivery boy had no clue about delay and said he just picked it up. Meanwhile the hotel never picked any call. Super waste of time and money since we paid extra for delivery and were left waiting. Chhole were full of oil which we drained off. Kadhi with 2 pieces of pakoda not worth ordering again. Only saving grace were the dahi bhallas which were soft and delectable.<br/>Zomato support was super responsive throughout but they had no update from hotel. The order status in Zomato was 'Confirmed' even 10min after order delivery. So definitely something was wrong at the hotel. Won't order from here again.
