Review Sarangi Restaurant - Pune

Prime location, famous, and a vintage feel. The seating arrangement, furniture, Hut like roof, service, Hindi music, food, and way drinks are served took me back in time. The rustic and nostalgic feel. 650 ml Beer bottle served with free starters. Food is North Indian and kebabs. Matka kebab is special. I ordered chicken matka kebab and it taste good as chicken pieces were tender and normal spicey. Good service. All indoor seating but was ideal for drinking, there are separate family section. not noisy.

Loved the atmosphere there. The lights, the furniture, the antique accessories. Everything was just too beautiful. Especially the cleanliness and hygiene is remarkable. Sanitary Pads were kept in the women's washroom which many restaurants don't even care about. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is searching for good food and atmosphere

The ambience in the main part of the restaurant is really unique, set off especially by the dark wood, the castle-like stone, the lighting, and the raised central area. My late lunch of sauteed vegetables was outstanding, done to my special order of using olive oil rather than refined. The lime water, though, was just average. Also appreciated: the excellent service, the low-key music allowing conversations to be heard, and the lovely clean rest room. I definitely think this place should have a higher rating than its current 3.9.

Sarangi is one of the old restaurants in Pune and located opposite to Victory theatre in East Street.I visited Sarangi Restaurant yesterday for a first time. I would like to recommend them for there quality, hygienic and pocket friend food. The overall ambiance and the food taste was very good and it fulfills all your need as they have a huge spread of menu.

This restaurant is one of the well know restaurants in camp area. The restaurant has good ambiance and it is also well maintained. Food is quite good but not all dishes also i felt more dish are sweet based instead of spicy. The staff are good and are very supportive. Over all a good place to have meal with family and friends.

Good Restaurant and easily accessible from main road. The speciality is Biryani. You will enjoy the rice quality in veg or nonveg Biryani. Also you get liquor in same place. Generally afternoon are quiet hours at this place. There is a big screen where one can enjoy cricket match and other sports. It is best place, interior is oldest. Vintage look, fountain at the center gives coolest vibes and feels so 😌 relax. Food is awesome, service is good. Best dish to try : Chicken kabab tokri, its the best starter i ever had in my life. Ghost Is best in main course, with nan or roti. 5 star rating for the ambitious and peaceful happy eating.

Sarangi is a good option in Camp area for drinks and food. Although they don't have pitcher and tower options for beer, they do have the regular-sized bottles. This restaurant dates back to 1987 and is located opposite to the Victory Theatre. Everything, starting from the decor of the sitting area, the open aquarium to the staff uniforms gives the traditional Indian vibes here. Thankfully there's no music, so you can socialize your hearts out. We had beers and for starters ordered the non-veg platter and paneer. Egg curry with jeera rice, rotis and chicken biryani were all tasty. Service was prompt and the staff generously obliged to our repeats on complimentary snacks.

Went to this place for dinner. Ordered chicken tokri kebab, Garlic roti and paneer tikka masala. Chicken tokri taste was unique and best. We got 8 pieces for Rs. 320. It is a must try. Paneer tikka masala taste was "okay". Garlic roti was awesome. Restaurant ambience is good, very much satisfied with staff. It's a good place to chill out with friends.

It felt like a time travel machine. The spacious interior took us a decades back and the music added to it. The food was just as good if not better. The palak lasooni dal was unique. The portion sizes were big. Small gestures like when the waiter covered the sabzi after serving is when we realised why the place had stood strong for so long. If you are in Camp do try the place out.

You can enjoy cocktails and dinner here with your family. This restaurant is located on MG Road. There is a separate arrangement for the family sitting as well. Every Friday and Saturday you will be found families enjoying cocktails and mocktails here.

So I had to ask him call for the captain and when he came and when he told him about him about the delay he was simply numb and for the seekh kebab the justification he tried to give us in which he heavily failed was that paneer is minced and than roasted for which we had to literally show him the piece of seekh kebab served. This was an old time favorite, visited after more than 15 years to refresh few memories. However was very disappointed. We ordered a veg kabab platter. It was presented very well. However, we did not like most of it. Paneer tikka was hard, tandoori aloo was undercooked. We could not eat all of it. And all of us had a upset stomach. It used to be an excellent place, don't know what happened this time.

The food here was good and the quantity and taste is fine but the service here is terrible. Especially the waiters and the managers of the AC part are extremely rude and uncouth. There is nothing known to them as service or respect for the customers.<br/>Their attitude is what made our whole dining experience really dissapointing.<br/>

This place is just opposite Victory theatre in camp. We celebrated my moms 40th birthday<br/>The place was amazing liked the family section, they have a smaller AC section but that's quite small for 8/10 seating but the open area is spacious it has a beautiful waterfall fountain in between the resto. Ambience is good. Food they serve are delicious in non vegetarian dishes. The rates are affordable and reasonable according to the restaurant. But the quantity is less so do work on it guys rest the staff were very kind and helpful. Overall recommended place to dine with your friends or family!

The staff is well behaved and friendly but less in number so service is very very slow.the food is not that great.we ordered rawa surmai...they served pomphret instead of surmai..the fish was stale and tasteless.only the ambience is good..

Visited this place in the evening.It's a restruant and bar one of my favorite restruants in town.We ordered :<br/>Chicken Crispy: it was crisp and delicious and the quantity was great.<br/>Kofta Sanj Savera: the quantity was good but it was basically paneer kofta in cashew gravy and very okayish to taste.The quality was good though.You can request them to make it a bit spicy.<br/>Mutton Kolhapuri Handi: it was exactly as it should be enough for three people.<br/>Some butter rotis and jeera rice to go with.<br/>Over all a good experience as always.Staff is very polite here.<br/>Ambience 5/5<br/>Location 5/5<br/>Food 5/5.

Here i tried malai kofta which is very sugary and paneer vegetable. Food was good. Service was also good. Prices are not high. I enjoyed the place

Awesome place in e street area to have drinks and dinner with family. Kids also are comfortable here. Service is super quick even On a busy day. Veg platter is recommended as its quantity is good. Drinks are also light on pocket. Veg clear soup was also nicely done.

As we had visted the restaurant at late afternoon the service provided was miserable. The orders were taken late and even the waiters werent too friendly n welcoming. The food served wasnt upto the mark as the taste was not that great. Only the ambience was nice n pleasing .

What a wonderful evening here at Sarangi on East Street. Stumbled by this place accidentally and came back pleasantly satisfied and surprised. Located on the left side of East Street very near to Kayani Bakery, this place is very accessible.<br/><br/>We ordered Tokri Kabab (Chicken Kabab with Cheese served wrapped in aluminium foil), Murg Fatehpuri Kabab (it is a speciality here and highly recommended if you are looking for something non-spicy), Prawns Manglorean Fry (spicy stuff but quite good), CCP (the usual cheese cherry and 🍍) and Chicken Dum Biryani (disappointed eith the oily stuff on offer, can be much better). A special word of appreciation for our host of the day, Mr. Krishna who made sure that we had a wonderful experience. Sarangi no need for introduction . Cause it's one of the old place with cool ambience in camp and serving good indian food over the years .<br/>The most important part about this hotel is they are serving in afternoon post 4pm. About food .<br/>It was our late afternoon plan cause of our one friend who is meeting us from a long time. So we order beera beer and as starter veg crispy indian . Yes it's indian tadka over a crispy was awesome in taste . Highly recommend here in starter . And 2nd dish was French fries . Many hotels use frozen fries but here u can get handmade fries which taste again bang on target . For a quick snack over the drinks it's gr8 deal. Over all excellent experience.

The worst you could ever get.. It was very sweet.. When I told their captain he started arguing badly and said it's sweet because of cheese and all stories... He went to the extend of telling us that we don't know how pastas.. Also the waiter who was serving us wad equally rude.. Moreover they made us pay the bill before the food had arrived.. Food can still be tolerated but their attitude is something that makes the place a strict no to visit...

The restaurant is exactly opposite to Victory theatre. We visited this place yesterday. The ambience is so packed and smelly that I lost my interest in having food here.<br/>But, then since my wife had read some good reviews on Facebook I continued. We ordered Masala papad, Tomato soup and chicken starter.<br/>The soup was so bad that we had very little and left the rest. The waiter curiously asked us about the reason. We told him it tasted bad. The next item was chicken kebab kinda thing. That was specifically asked to the order manager as this was our first visit and we were not sure what to order. The result of this dish was also the same like previous dish.<br/>One thing is for sure the restaurant has really bad smell. It didn't feel fresh to be there. We chose to sit in AC area, which was also smelling bad. As a result we did not order main course and came back home.<br/><br/>Each ordered item had same kind of bad smell. Probably the packed and smelly ambience of the restaurant and might be the bad kitchen area resulted the bad taste.<br/><br/>I am sure many might have felt the same. There is a lot to improve.

I very much like the concept of vintage places whether it is a historical place or having a fine dinner.<br/><br/>So this restaurant establishled in 1987 is located next to Kayani bakery and main road obviously.<br/><br/>The seating here is both indoor and outdoor (smoking),with indoor seating very causal and sophisticated and outdoor seating is something to grab an attention.
