Situated at a very convenient location in BANER, PUNE, REGALIA RESTRO & LOUNGE has, as it's neighbours, two other very renowned restaurants of the region - THE GREAT PUNJAB and MALAKA SPICE. The three restaurants stand one after the other in a perfect straight line, with REGALIA RESTRO & LOUNGE in the middle of the other two.
Me and my wife had walked into REGALIA RESTRO & LOUNGE on the drizzling night of Sunday, 26-June-2016 and we were really very surprised to find that not too many people were present, in spite of the day being a Sunday.
Well, now let's proceed forward with my usual detailed style review.
1. AMBIENCE - Quite a nice ambience inside the restaurant; a cool, serene, blissful atmosphere adds to the overall charm of the place.
My rating of a 3.5 out of a total of 5 for the AMBIENCE factor !!!
2. CLEANLINESS - A neat, clean, tidy and hygienic place will welcome you; we were quite impressed with the way the neatness, tidiness and cleanliness of the entire place was maintained - the place looked really hygienic all around.

3. SERVICE - Now, the pace at which they serve is something that they really need to look into; they serve at quite a slow pace, in spite of the very fact that there were really a very few customers at the time we were there. The speed of their service needs some definitive improvement for sure and I do hope that they really do something serious about that, and that too, pretty quickly.
So, in short, the overall level of service at REGALIA RESTRO & LOUNGE at present is quite average and hence, needs improvement for the overall good of their business.

4. STAFF MEMBERS - Most of the staff-members working at REGALIA RESTRO & LOUNGE are quite decent, nice, polite, well-mannered, well-behaved, amicable, caring, friendly, proficient, effective, efficient, attentive, prompt, responsive, professional guys.
However, some of them seemed to me to be less proficient, effective and efficient and somehow also seemed to lack promptness and responsiveness - this is really not very cool and should definitely change for good.
Most of the staff-members, however, know how to take good care of their customers and are quite impressive by their own professional standards.
My rating of a 3.25 out of a total of 5 for all the staff-members who put in all of their hard efforts at REGALIA RESTRO & LOUNGE !!!
5. FOOD & BEVERAGES: -
A. TASTE : The food items and beverages which we had ordered tasted decent for most parts - not great taste, though; however, decent enough for you to be able to at least eat and drink.
My wife had ordered in Main Course a "PRAWNS WITH FISH AND RICE" (that's how it read in their menu card) and she did not seem to be very much satisfied as to how the food tasted.
B. PRESENTATION - Decent presentation; can definitely work towards improving things in terms of how to present your food and beverages in an attractive manner to your customers.
C. QUANTITY - I had ordered in Main Course a "MIX VEGETABLES SHASHLIK SIZZLER", which had been served in a sufficient quantity, enough to be able to satisfy my hunger.
However, the "PRAWNS WITH FISH AND RICE", which my wife had ordered in Main Course, seemed to have been served in a bit lesser quantity than was expected.
We had also ordered "CHICKEN LEMON CORIANDER THICK SOUP" and "VIRGIN PINA COLADA" and they came in expected quantities as well.
D. QUALITY - The "CHICKEN LEMON CORIANDER THICK SOUP" and "MIX VEGETABLES SHASHLIK SIZZLER" were kinda OK. However, I would still say that the Sizzler lacked uniformity and the rice seemed too dry to get inside.
What was most worrying and disturbing was the very fact that the prawns in "PRAWNS WITH FISH AND RICE" tasted absolutely stale - the prawns were definitely not OK at all and were absolutely unfit for consumption. 👎
My wife immediately went on to complain to one of the staff-members who defended saying that they were used to buying fresh prawns everyday and that too in smaller quantities (as per their estimated daily requirement) and that they always use those fresh prawns in their dishes. However, the prawns which had been used in our dish did not quite lend support to whatever he said.
Now, my wife had ordered one "VIRGIN PINA COLADA" as well. And, probably, in an ardent attempt to compensate for the stale prawns, we were offered a second "VIRGIN PINA COLADA" for FREE !!! 😎😜😛
E. PRICE - For the quality and quantity they have in offer for the customers (definitely needs improvement), I strongly believe that the prices of their food-items and beverages are quite high - it, thus, qualifies to be categorised as an 'over-priced restaurant'.

Well, to summarise, I can only say this - you can give the restaurant a try and then decide for yourself whether or not to pay it a visit the next onwards. If you do love the experience, why not visit it later?
