Joshi Wadewale is a popular eatery in the city of Pune, is famous for its delicious and authentic Maharashtrian snacks, especially its wada pav. The wada pav at Joshi Wadewale is a must-try for anyone visiting Pune. The wada pav is made with a soft and fluffy potato filling, coated in a crispy gram flour batter and served with spicy chutney and fried green chilies. The taste of the wada pav is heavenly and leaves a lasting impression on the taste buds. Apart from wada pav, Joshi Wadewale also offers other Maharashtrian snacks such as sabudana vada, kothimbir vadi, and misal pav. The food is fresh, hygienic, and reasonably priced. The restaurant is small and often crowded, but the service is quick and efficient. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making the dining experience enjoyable for visitors. Overall, Joshi Wadewale is a great place to enjoy authentic Maharashtrian snacks. The wada pav is a must-try for anyone visiting , and the other snacks are equally delicious. The restaurant is worth a visit for anyone who loves to indulge in local cuisine.

Great fast food place, for a quick bite. They have only some tables to eat while the standing. Reall love the fried spinach!

Quality of vada pav is very good....but I tried tea which was very ordinary.

Tasty food, sitting space available for all. So many varieties of food items available. Freshly prepared for customer. Recommended onion pakoda. Some items are good pricing & some are little bit higher.
AMOL BHAMARE
One of the best place to have "vada pav" its quite famous here... The taste is awesome they also serve different variety of food like different kind of bhaji pav, mendu vada, pani puri, they also serve drinks.... And all are pocket friendly.... Enought space to park your two wheeler.... And seating space is also available.....

From my childhood I am big fan of Joshi Wadewale. From last 25 years it has consistent same Taste. It is little spicy but has magic Taste. They serve Hot wadapav with their special Wada चुरा चटणी. Whenever I visit Pune, I take stop here 😄 Now it has 20rs price for wadapav. Its worth to pay.
Abhishek Dhanure
Top quality food.. .well maintained hygiene.. .prices are quite high.. .but worth it .. .!! Special item is DAHIWADA (70₹) 😅 must try.. .i ate misal of 70.. .and special mango juice of 40rs.. .my total was.. . .count and tell me!?
Abhishek Gotmare
This is good place for having quick bytes. Pure vegetarian hotel. Test is good. Typically Joshi wadewale style. Their signature dish is Wada Paw and Bhaji. Apart from snacks item they have few more items like Maharashtrian Thali, Chole Bature, Pav bhaji, Dosa, Idali and Wada sambar etc ... Hygiene and test wise it is good. You will always get the fresh food in minimum time. Tea is also very good. Service is little bit slow and owner should focused on this topic. I am visiting this place from many years when it was just a small shop and found service is degrading day by day... First you have to take coupons and then delivery from other counter. Limited seating arrangement is available... Cost wise is ok. Payment by cash and mobile wallet.... @Parking - Limited road side parking 🅿️ available... Overall good experience...

It was a chance stop at this place based on recommendation from a friend as I was on my way to airport. But the professional way then and taste of their Wadas later was something worth talking about. Very authentic very tasty wada pav with fast service is what you can look forward to when you are at this outlet. Keep up the good work.

This place has become our favourite destination whenever we visit Pune... A place which makes you feel at home though away from home.. This time tried Kaju Usal...the taste was ok...but had enjoyed Karela fry tremendously during my last visit....Also Ukadiche modak is always cherished and speciality of the place during Ganesh Chaturti... I would recommend this place to all at least once......

Finally blessed with first rain of monsoon and as rule of thumb of being true Maharashtrian- started searching for Kanda bhaji😛 and did I find what I was looking you ask? Yesssss I did🙆 Soham dining hall- It's what we call actually a homemade food- every dish reminds of home and the way it used to smell.... Menu is pretty decent, and most importantly Veg Only...they serves mostly Maharashtrian dishes with all those legendary forgotten ones e.g. kelfulachi bhaji🙄🙃... We had Kanda bhaji, mirchi bhaji, paratha, flower bhurji 😋 Every dish is scrumptious and every bit of heaven... They do have wide Verity of typical Maharashtrian desserts from basundi, shewaya kheer, halawa, gulpoli, modak to aamras... The best part is it's on highly affordable side with every bite takes you on memory lane... Proud to see a woman entrepreneur running this quite successfully 🙆<br/>A highly highly recommended one

Management is very Rude.  I request them to clean the dirty muddy dishes however management said that we have this kind of dishes only. I request finally staff to do the same. However serving staff is also limited and they have very high attitude . <br/>Cleanness is very poor. Also while serving the food items, they behave like they are giving food as free. <br/>Now they are running this restaurant as Monthly mess.  <br/>Overall i don't recommend people to visit with your Friends/family as it is now not up to the mark and it is not now a maharashtrian Food court .
Amit Gole
Perfect place for family dinning. The food just can't be compared with other restaurants, it has maintained the maharastrian taste and dishes in this modern world. The restaurant is very clean and hygienic.

Must a visit place for authentic maharashtrian cuisine. Located on the JM Road. Even though it’s on one of the busiest roads of Pune, you will get ample space for four wheeler and two wheeler parking inside their premises.

If you want to experience authentic cusine of Maharashtra, this is a perfect place. All dishes served here are the best but to specifically name few try khawa poli and Ukadiche Modak. Its stumptous. Special thali, masala bhat are other recommended optons. I'll recommended this place as a must visit place ..

As you can see in the photo, I couldn't resist the 1st bite when I received my food. So, I was wandering Pune streets during ganpati visarjan miravnuk and was hungry.<br/>I found this place on JM road-<br/>1. It was open during visarjan<br/>2. It was pure maharashtrian<br/>3. They had pithal and bharit in their menu<br/><br/>Both dishes had a home-made taste.<br/>As it was special occasion we even ordered shrikhand to complete our maharashtrian food craving.<br/>You can have a simple and tasty meal over here with very low charges.<br/>Must visit for a Marathi food hunger.

Really good place to have pure authentic puneri food. And the staff is really polite and quick. Should visit this place often. Open front decor

Simple home made food at the heart of the city. Good food , very very authentic Maharashtrian cuisine served here. The puran poli loaded with ghee is sure to take ur heart away. The karela bhaji, pitla, bhakri, basundi are to die for. Order with kurdai or nachni papad and enjoy a good meal
NIKHIL CHANDORE
Its like gharch j1<br/>Try anything which is listed in menu <br/>All are good.<br/>Maharashtrian menu with bhakri<br/>I tried kaju husal , bharli wangi with bhakri and alu wadi <br/>All are good

Feel like having some "assal Maharashtrian jevan" .. do visit this place.<br/>You can enjoy regular simple Maharashtrian dishes here.<br/>Nice place with indoor sitting arrangement<br/>Service was quick<br/>I was lucky enough to visit this place on 'Ganesh chaturthi'<br/>Why?<br/>Because they serve "Ukdiche modak" on special occasions like chaturthi. 😍<br/>Worth a try.

For all my love to Pune, this joint does contribute to it.<br/><br/>A perfect place for Veg Maharashtrian Food. You can lay your hands on almost all kinds of maharashtrian delicacies (which you don’t get while staying outside of your home). <br/><br/>Starting from main course like Pithala, Vanga-bharit, Shepu, Shev Bhaji to sweets like Puran Poli, Khava Poli, Basundi etc. <br/>Ambience isn’t that good, looks more like a rented 3-room home. <br/>Economical.<br/><br/>Good for family outing.
Abhijit Thorat
For outdoor food ‘m really into non-veg, despite of my taste this place really one of best in Pune for Vegetarian Maharashtrian deliciousness.<br/><br/>Kothimbir vadi, Basundi, Khava Poli and many more. Pick and choose any thing as per your liking and you gonna love it.<br/><br/>Best for family!

Descent place and the food was average. You can get all typical Maharashtrian menu. Hospitality is below average. Suggest you to check it out only once, if you like it it's your call next time.

Soham is located in the vicinity of Z bridge on JM Road. In an area with plenty of North Indian food restaurants, Soham stands out with its own uniqueness. The main USP of Soham is its regional Maharashtrian food. This place provides you with a variety of Maharashtrian food at a very affordable price.<br/><br/>Food: 4/5<br/>Ambience: 2.5/5<br/>Service: 4/5<br/><br/>Food: If you are looking to have authentic Maharashtrian food then this is the right place for you. They have a wide variety of items in their menu ranging from Sol Kadhi to Pithla Bhakri. This place serves an amazing variety of Bhakri (Jawari, Bajri and Nachni) which I will surely recommend. The place also serves delicious Pithla Bhakri. Sev Bhaji and Bharit(made from brinjal) are also among the dishes you can definitely try out. They have a variety of options in desserts too, Puran Poli being one of the favourites.<br/><br/>Ambience: This place does not have a very great ambience but will give you a homely vibe. The seating arrangement is fine and you will generally find a table for yourself quickly. If the interior is worked upon a little bit, then this outlet can surely attract more crowd.<br/><br/>Service: The service here is fast and does not keep you waiting for your food. Overall a satisfying experience in terms of service and food.<br/><br/>If you are someone who is away from home and seeking a good place which serves Maharashtrian food then Soham will certainly the place which you satisfy your craving for some delicious Marathi food.

Bakwas worthless costly food i have ever tested and test of this food hotel its bakwas dont go for it specially for aamras and suggestion is that you should learn to how to maintain cost menu card cost as well as quality
Pitts....
Pretty average in taste in some signature maharashtrian dishes like misal, thalipeeth etc. Service is really slow, esp when crowd starts cropping up. Slight more taste enhancement on a few, and this place can really be better than many in the area.
Swapnil Chopade
My friend was starving for proper maharashtrian food and I took him to this place after the dinner this was his response "mahinyabharanantar potbhar jevalo bhava"

At times some elements hinder you from becoming a legend. Some can be controlled and some are uncontrollable.. in cricket I always think in this line about yuvraj Singh and among eateries.. I think soham is one..located on the Conspicuous JM road in a rustic wada serving delicious home made Marathi delicacies.. would have made this place a legendary one.. unfortunately due to litigation neither they advertise or expand.. it has remain same in last 4 years.. In my most recent visit I had a misal, masala pav , chaas and khawa Poli.. all fresh, like home made and delicious.. hope they work on their interior and look to make the place appealing.. surely a great place to taste maratha delicacies

Awesome food, every one who loves Maharashtrian food must visit this place. Lots of variety which you will hardly get anywhere. Puranpoli was awesome.looking forward to visit on regular basis.

If you're looking for a dinner place with family members who prefer Maharashtraian cuisine, Soham is the place you want to go to.The food is good and gives you a homely feeling.Ambience does not qualify fine dining but speaks of puneri simplicity.
Ravi Kavrani
This is one of the best place for maharashtrian food. <br/>Don't expect great ambiance or sitting arrangement it's 3/5 in this case .<br/><br/>But the food is awesome. It's 5/5<br/>Rates are reasonable. <br/><br/>Must visit this place to enjoy simple food with great taste.

"Soham"..is located on JM Road in front of State Bank of India.<br/><br/>Very few people visit here, may be the restaurant is not much talked about. It not even get crowded on weekends.<br/><br/>Basically a restaurant having most Maharashtrian dishes on its Menu Card.<br/>If you are a Maharashtrian and look carefully on the menu card you can observe from Starters to Deserts all are included which belong to typical Maharashtrian Food. <br/><br/>Whenever I visit JM Road for a meal I visit this place and over the years it became one of my favorite for typical Maharashtrian Food.<br/><br/>In my visits I have tried so many dishes which tastes equally good. Pithla with kharda, Tomato bharta, Baingan masala, Dal Tadka, bhakari are some of the dishes I ordered frequently.<br/>My favorite, Puran Poli with lot of butter over it.<br/>For this rainy season you can visit here for the hot kanda bhaji.<br/>It also serves seasonal items like Kairi Panhe in Summers.<br/><br/>So not having any ambience, a simple seating, still this place can be recognized as one of highest rated restaurants for Maharashtrian Food. <br/>No problem with parking here, has its own parking on the busiest JM Road.<br/><br/>I must mention, Hats off to the people running such kind of place on a very hyped JM Road.<br/>It can be only because of the variety of Maharashtrian Food get served here.<br/><br/>Undoubtedly a must visit place!<br/><br/>Best wishes to Soham Dining Hall.<br/><br/>

I ate in Soham with my friends, very nice maharashtrian food with availability of variety of dishes which can be eaten while fasting. We will say Soham is nice service with good food in a reasonable cost.

Poor food quality<br/>Terrible service<br/>Prices are high. It's not worth paying such high price.<br/>Been there to have Marathi food and turned out to be an utter disappointment.<br/>
Anish Nandgaonkar
They have this unique menu card, meaning I 've never or very rarely seen such food items in any menu card. They offer Typical authentic maharashtrien dishes. Of course they have north Indian menus too.<br/>The old home they have converted in to a restaurant. So you can't expect any ambience as such. But no complaints. And ya... The wash basin is like at 'faar faar away' ;-) <br/>The food, well it was better than GOOD but not exactly EXCELLENT. <br/>If you are looking for the real maharashtrien home style food, this place is for you. <br/>The ' sol kadhi ' is also a must try. <br/>The service is poor I can say. <br/>The staff was more interested to watch cricket match when we went there B-) <br/>I would love to visit the place again to try those other dishes they are offering.
Brahmadevan
Enjoyed a true maharastrian and not come across before food. Highly simplistic, hot, homely dishes were served. Above this prices are very low. But they need to give a serious thought about hand wash arrangements and swach toilet!

The perfect place for home food... I love to go here daily<br/>The perfect place for students and people who are away from home...<br/>We can call it A home away from home 😊 <br/>Food quality and taste is awesome<br/>Just try to improve your quality about chapati... That will be better

If you love Maharashtrian food and are looking for a budget place for a quick meal, this is the place.<br/>Order anything from the menu and this place will seldom disappoint you. The Puran Poli they serve is a must try. <br/><br/>I had tried a Missal as well as Alu Vadi as well, but it didn't work out well. But the other items were worth the time.<br/>The service is quick and the ambience average.<br/><br/>Verdict: Good Maharashtrian Food<br/>Food: 4.0<br/>Service: 3.5<br/>Ambience: 3.0

on Ganpati visarjan i was roaming on JM road along with friends at that time i visited this restaurant, also this restaurant good for those who are away from home. Food was good in taste main thing they  didnt used too much spices, i suggest try Lasuni methi, Pitla and Bajri Bhakri. Ambiance was not that much good but doesnot matter. cost- i think little bit heavy. Give a try once :) surely i ll visit againnnnnnnnn :)
Deepti Ingle
nice place to have typical marathi food. sabudana khichadi, thalipith are just too good. the overall feel of the place and the taste of food is homely. people who like marathi food can truly enjoy this place.
Suyog72
Expecting great experience but disappointed..... <br/>First thing, they say Maharashtrian hotel and waiters are non Marathi. They can't speak Marathi.<br/>Service was pathetic....<br/>Secondly food was of OK type not as typical Maharashtrian.

If u want to try authentic Maharastrian food u must come to  Soham.<br/>Value for money too good. VERY REASONABLE RATES<br/>Taste is very good I must reccommend the Kothmir wadi, Bharwan Baingan, Bhindi fry and Tawa Pulao.<br/>It may not be a super luxurious place but a place to definately go for to try simple homely food and to be away from the crowded streets of  Deccan a quiete simple place.
Milind Shete
Well, I've been visiting JM road since ages and I had spotted this hotel many a times, but never happened to give it a try. Finally went today with my colleagues who were longing to have pure vegetarian food. It looked like an old hotel (more of a 'Wada' as we call it in Marathi) and the ambience was mediocre but yet decent. We ordered shev bhaji, methi bhaji, baingan masala, paneer mix served with bhakri. Later, we also ordered thalipeeth, gul poli and khava poli. I must say, the food quality and taste were pretty good. Service was decent. But as few people have already mentioned, few dishes seemed just a little overpriced against the quantity they were served in! On the whole, it is a great option to have pure Maharashtrian food for a change!
Rohit Dhotre
Wanna have homely maharashtrian food? Then this is just the perfect place to visit. Fairly priced food, when you compare the food quality and quantity. One must try authentic puran poli khawa poli. Had been here on chaturthi, hence also got to try ukdiche modak.<br/>I would also like to mention that ambience doesn't matter when it comes to food and it's taste.
Shabbir Essaji
After hearing the name, i thought it might be some luxurious type restaurant, but after i saw it looked like some Student's Mess. Big Single Hall with Plastic tables & chairs. <br/><br/>Food tasted good but prices were too high taking in consideration the ambience, sitting & serving. <br/>I wouldn't recommend it for such high prices. Better go elsewhere.
Anuja Korlahalli
Absolutely love this place. I love to relish maharashtrian delicacies over here. Yummy and affordable food. Frankly what more can you ask for?
Anand Gavasane
The place was reffered to me by one of my friend as a typical marathi restaurant where I can get taste of home made food. After that I have been there for few times. Its on JM road opposite side to starting of z bridge. <br/>The place seems to be Old house which is converted to restaurant. It is mostly occupied by families, working class and also few couples.<br/>Food to try- It is basically famous for Maharashtrian food but they serve all including North Indian(which is acceptably good) and chinese. <br/>Methi pithala with jowar bhakri is the dish that I alwasys loved eating there. Their Mashroom masala, kairi panha, kairi chatni and other marathi vegetables are also nice.<br/>Overall Its the place if you want to try very nice typical home made food.
Akhil Prasade
For those who like their puranpoli not just with ghee but completely soaked into desi ghee.. <br/>Khava poli and kothimbir vadi is also recommendable. <br/>Rest all menu is just too ordinary to add in ones wishlist. <br/>Typical puneri hotel with typically "majorada" staff which is a bit obvious for an old hotel like soham... If u hv learnt to enjoy it, u will definitely get away with some memorable quarrels... :p
Ashish Agrawal
Mess food at 3 star restaurent rate..<br/>Murlidhar just walking distance frm this place is much better place.<br/>Outrageous prices for very small quanity of food and no service...

Authentic Maharashtrian food in pune.Jowar Bhaakri,Kothimbir wadi & Alu wadi were some of the mouth watering items.
