This was that time of the year when some of my friends get together to eat the most famous IFTAAR. This time we chose to also visit Sampan Foods and omg the food there was lajawab if I may say so. We decided to order mughlai paratha and a nonveg platter. From Hara Tikka to tandoori chicken to mutton seekh to malai tikka, everything was so well marinated and cooked. the chutney that they served along was icing on the top. the mughlai paratha with multiple layers was soft, well cooked and so delicious. Iftaar was made memorable once again.

We had chicken maharaja and phulka in this place. Great taste and i liked the service. Although the place was over crowded, they made sure to give attention to all the customers.

The food is tasty and also pocket friendly. It's an all time best choice if u are in camp area and with a huge group of friends. Their non veg food is amazing.. The dining atmosphere is an exception otherwise food is good
Great tasting food (in gargantuan proportions) at pocket friendly prices - notwithstanding the decor. A must-visit restaurant for the real foodies of Pune. Check out my photos for this place on their Google maps reviews - pictures speak a thousand words.
One star less than 5 on account of the occasional shower of dry, dusty leaves on you and your food from the tall trees in the compound.
Noteworthy features:
1) Their open kitchen
2) The huge tropical fish aquarium tank at the far end of the restaurant (fantastic distraction for the kids and some peaceful gastronomy for you).
If you are in Pune Camp and want to have some lip-smacking food with pocket friendly rate, this is the place for you. Some of the MUST try dishes are Chicken Tandoori, Chicken Takatak, Chicken Junglee, Chicken Platter, Chicken Crispy, Chicken Shezwan fried rice, Butter Kulcha and list goes on...
This place is for good food and not for other luxuries.
I tried their garlic chicken fried rice.
Pros -
1. Taste was good.
2. Service was quick.
3. Lots of varieties.
Cons -
1. Not so good ambience.
2. Slightly overpriced.
3. Place isn't much tidy.
Overall, if you are in MG area and feel like having some good food with friends, then there's no harm in visiting this place. It's a must try.
