Well parking here is chaotic. Usually on weekends rush would be there. Keep change while going to book tickets. They usually don’t go with Digital one as well. Place is well maintained at few places. You can see people having picnics and all. Surrounded by temples this place is so goood. The view from top is beautiful.

Shaniwar Wada is a historical gem that transports you back in time with its intricate architecture and rich history. The imposing fort and its lush gardens create a serene atmosphere, perfect for a stroll and contemplation. However, some areas could benefit from better maintenance. Overall, a must-visit for history enthusiasts and a glimpse into Pune's glorious past. Additionally, I'd recommend implementing safety measures, especially on the narrow walkway atop the wall. Installing safety grills along the boundary could prevent accidental falls, as the wall height is approximately 1 foot, posing a potential risk. Enhancing safety infrastructure would contribute to a more secure and enjoyable experience for visitors.

Commanding a central location, this historical landmark pulsates with the city's energy. While entry times for the inner sanctum are limited, the surrounding courtyard remains open throughout the day, inviting exploration. Hungry visitors can satiate their palates at nearby food joints. Informative boards and banners, along with optional guided tours, shed light on the fascinating past enshrined within these walls. Special celebrations on momentous occasions like Independence Day and Maharashtra Day further enrich the experience.

Great relic from Indian history! Decently kept by PMC, but no washroom access even though a few is collected. The security were more busy doing tourist footfall counts than their job. It would be a good idea to have good washrooms and more seating arrangements considering high footfall. Also more informative boards describing history can be put into action so that people not visiting on Sunday too can know the in depth history of the place. On Sundays there is a sound and light show.

If you're enthusiastic about Maharashtra and Pune's history, it's a must visit. The architecture is wonderful for its era, and the maintenance and cleanliness is good. Though the vendors there might not accept UPI, so carry change if you want to eat / drink something there. The parking was chaotic when I visited on the weekends and there's a lot of people visiting during the active hours. The view of everything from the top is ecstatic. A must visit for Punekars. Happy holidays! ✌️

A historical place having ruins of Pheshwe rulers. Only the front portion and foundation of the buildings are visible. The ambience is awesome. There are boards indicating the different parts of the palace. The first floor can be reached by climbing steep steps. There is a passage on the fort wall for walking.

Shaniwar Wada is a historical treasure that gracefully narrates Pune's history. Its architectural marvels and the tales embedded in its walls make it a must-visit for history enthusiasts and those seeking a connection to India's royal past. While some areas may require a bit of historical imagination, the overall experience is enriching and provides a fascinating glimpse into the grandeur of the Maratha Empire.

This place is good but very less attention given on maintenance. People here also doing same thing walking all over the place, through the garden even though steps are given. So i feel unless there are police we as an Indian would never realize our mistakes. Second the most important piece is buying tickets, it is 25 rupees and you must have exact change. Only cash no UPI and if you don’t the ticket person would make faces and yell at you. He would say we are not here to give you change. My job is not that and many bad stuff. He will make your start a painful one. Please have 25 or do not go. Overall i would say inside of the place is good. You have tress where you could sit. Please please keep the place clean and keep the environment plastic free. Be responsible. Enjoy but do not destroy.

A place to visit in Pune to know the history of the city better. The entry fee is 20 rupees and can get crowded by lunch and on holidays. So try to plan this place before it gets sunny and crowded. It takes max 1 hr to visit as there is very less of the main structure remaining after the Great fire.

Its a nice place to visit alone, or with family/friends. People who are more interested in history will enjoy this place a lot. I liked that almost at every place, there is a small board with the information on it about that particular place, but at some places it's broken, they should fix it. I don't know why but the washrooms were shut, I hope this is not the case every time. Don't forget to take an umbrella with you as it's an open place and under direct sun, one can get tired very soon. And keep you token (ticket) safe as if you lost it, you have to pay fine of 100/- 😅
