Omg the taste is soo heavenly . I just can't explain . The mutton is sufficiently cooked with great aroma and taste. The quantity of the pieces for this price is great . Pure homely taste with decent pricing .

Chicken fry pieces were 5, juicy n tender.
Rassa was perfect n one of the best. Not too spicy.
In Bhakari they serve Bajari or Jwari
Chicken liver fry is my favourite dish n they deserve full marks for the preparation. Liver pieces were properly cooked n not heavily spiced.

Mutton dum biryani is really best in a test. Love a lot. Rassa is ossam. Very good hotel for nonveg. Iwould prefer biryani menus. In veg pithla bhakri is good

.. and after a long time I finally had the most amazing Mutton Dum Biryani and that too in the most unlikeliest of the places. In a hotel specialising in Maharashtrian Mutton Bhakri. Obviously I had entered this restaurant to try out their Mutton Bhakri as I am quite fond of this dish but chanced upon Chicken Dum Biryani being served at the adjacent table. It looked good, so good that I changed my mind about the mutton Bhakri and ordered a mutton dum biryani instead. Though it took close to 20 minutes for this to be served but once served it was the most sumptuous biryani I have ever had in Pune. The meat cooked with a hint of Kolhapuri flavours blended excellently with the mildly flavoured rice. The quantity was good enough to feed two heavy eaters and the proportion of meat to rice was also well maintained. The best part of the Biryani was the mild flavours that the rice emanated, an art that most restaurant miss on as they mix too many strong flavours in the rice that right away confuses your palate and make biryanis less desirable.
Would like to visit the place again just to try out their Mutton Bhakri... their speciality and I hope the experience is as good as their Biryani.
Visited Jagadamd hotel for Lunch at the last day of 2017. It was so good. Ordered Mutton thali and Mutton special thali. Special thali had Jowar Bhakhri in it plus mutton biriyani, mutton sukkha, rassa , egg boiled and mutton gravy. Typical Marathi food. Excellent taste. Specially bhakhri and Mutton gravy combination was too good. Try for it surely.
Ossam test of mutton rassa. Biryani is very good test, properly marinated with spices. I recommend to all who loves nonveg. Tandoori lollipop good

Tried the following dishes at Jagdamb:-
1) Masala Papad: (3.5/5)
Good crunchiness of the papad along with generous amounts of toppings of sev tomato and onions with hint of chaat masala proved to be a good kickstart to the meal....
2) Egg Thali with Bhakri: (3.5/5)
Loved the desi presentation of serving in a steel plate. Bhakri's were big and filling. Taste wise it was decent but a tad little on salt. Egg curry was the highlight of the dish. Loved the spiciness of the malvani curry. Curry proved to be perfect complement to the bhakri's.
Overall Jagdamb is a good option for foodies looking out to try the desi malvani spicy flavours. Other than malvani dishes they also serve many other varieties and will be looking to try them out in future..!! Cheers!

Craving for bhakri and mutton for dinner, after searching for hell a lot time we finally ended up here. On the first glance this restaurant looks like semi dhaba type serving maharashtrian cuisine which has separate hut type room for tandoor. This is pretty famous restaurant for thali system in akurdi area and it's on the old pune Bombay highway.
Well ambiance is not that good but I do like one thing about this restaurant is they have separate seating arrangement for family which is really appreciable.
Restaurant is spacious, good seating arrangement. It's a typical maharashtrian restaurant where you don't expect fancy ambiance.
Going through the menu the last page was really unique. Typical puneri feeling. I've attached the photo to get exact idea what I'm saying. As always we asked for half tandoor chicken for starter and solkadhi. For mains we opted for mutton handi and to accompany it bhakri and chapati.
Solkadhi was really good but it wasn't in house, stills it was good. Tandoori chicken came quickly as we ordered and I can say it was a really good chicken. Meat was cooked perfectly and it was tender, smoky flavour of charcoal was really overwhelming. When the guy came with the dish aroma of chicken just blasted our neck. It was a really good tandoori chicken. We were actually surprised to get such a good quality tandoori chicken at a thali place.
Mutton handi was huge, we actually ordered half portion but it was really enough for four. Nice amount of meat chunks and lot of gravy. My friend took bhakri and as always I went with chapati. Chapati also was huge and it was actually exactly same as we get at home. Freshly made and a little burnt on the edge. We were happy with the meal. we didn't like the mutton gravy because it was little too much salty and the mutton chunks were not cooked perfectly. But it went well with chapati so we were satisfied overall.
It's really good restaurant offering maharashtrian thali, I'll try their famous mutton thali next time. It's worth a visit restaurant to taste the thali.

अस्सल महाराष्ट्रीयन थाळी, चिकन आणि मटण अगदी योग्य प्रमाणात शिजलेलं आणि थोडंस तिखट. उगाच गावरान म्हणून मसाल्याच्या आणि मिरचीचा मारा नाही. थाळीत सुक्क मटण, रस्सा मटण, आळणी रस्सा, उकडलेलं अंड, भाकरी किंवा चपाती आणि बिर्याणी मिळत. सर्वच वाढलेले पदार्थ आपापलं वेगळे पण जपतात. आळणी रस्सा या सर्वात बाजी मारतो. बिर्याणी पण अगदीच निराश करत नाही. आणि खिशाला परवडणाऱ्या योग्य दरात. जर मटण प्रेमी असाल तर नक्की भेट द्या.
If you are looking to have Spicy Mutton Thali then, this is the place for you.. its not a typical Kolhapuri food joint where you get Tambda and Pandhra Rassa along with your Thali. Also, this place serves only lamb meat.
About food
I tried Spl Mutton Thali which consists of Mutton sukkha, mutton curry, Mutton Biryani and Mutton broth. Taste was ok and very spicy. Biryani which was served with Thali is not the typical dum biryani yet it was flavoursome. All in all, the food was more on the spicer side and less on flavours. Service was quick and staff was courteous.

In starter:
1. chicken lolypop teste was good , in half plate they provide 6 piece , i give you 10/8 .
2.veg 65: good test 10/7.
Main course:
1. Dal khichdi: quantity is good and test is yummy not much spices they used so i rate on 10/9.
2. Hyderabadi dum biryani : well according to price quantity was ok ok , and test is not much spicy, they provide biryani with chicken gravy that gravy was sweet in teste not like much so i give 10/6 .
A good place for your regular Lunch/dinner for casual outing for couple or family. They have descent menus in Startes, chinese, main course and rice; both in veg and non-veg. I found the service is great, staff is helpful. We ordered 1 starter, 1 sabji and butter garlic naan. All were tatsty.
Butter Garlic naan was thin compared to other places. Starter and Sabji quantity and quality was great.
I will recommend to everyone be it a family or couple, whatever be the budget but visit once for sure.

They have made a good change in the take away parcel , first it was in foil containers now it is in nice plastic container, no more leakage or oil staind all over the bag and clothes Definitely one of the best changes and good quantity of food!! I was so impressed. I assure you guys you won't be disappeared. The food is delicious, value was excellent compared to other prices we had seen. Highly recommend this Restaurant.
