While doing a good walk I was very surprised to find this store as I have enjoyed their stuff in Bombay. I was simply making a video on my phone and I got chatting and was provided various samples which I devoured as it was delicious and brought back my memories of the sweetmeats I had consumed while in Bombay. Very happy the store has opened in Pune.

Bought some dry fruit sweets and a mango and cheese burfi. Absolutely delicious. Everyone at home loved the sweets. Will be buying from here again. Health goals gone for a toss.

I visited this place for the popular demand of its biryani... I tried it and it really lives upto the name it has made over these years... The ambience is not good... I suggest u pack the biryani and eat at home...

Rogan Chicken was less spicy and oily. Butter roti was like dipped in butter. Loved the Jeera Masala cold drink that I had.<br/><br/>Pros: taste wise and presentation, its good. Staff behaviour: friendly and courteous. Quick service, Pocket friendly, even if you go for a three course meal. Menu filled with lovely dishes, will go for multiple visits.<br/><br/>Cons: No swipe system!! :'( Need to get that. Need to reduce oil content on dishes. One of my office colleague took me over here, he had tried this restaurant couple of years back. We were hungry when we reached and ordered biryani. Biryani was not that much great, after that we had ordered chicken Tandoori and butter chicken, both were delicious.

Grand Darbar is a pretty basic restaurant with not many amenities but having said that it's food especially the biryanis and kebabs are off the hook and makes you forget all its shortcomings. <br/><br/>-- A drop of ink may make a million think. <br/>@AyaashPaw

This place is where you get one of the best biryani in pune. Food quality is 4.0 losing a few marks on spices. Ambience is 2.5 for lack of basic amenities like an AC(& really bad sofas). Tandoori chicken is a must, really full of masala( will get u sweating). Service is OK( no issues). If u don't mind a not too hygenic place to eat this can b d perfect place.

Grand Darbar is actually Grand when it comes to Biryanis. <br/><br/>One thing that comes to my mind after hearing about this place is their biryani. <br/>People i haven't tried anything else except the chicken and mutton Biryani, but trust me i haven't liked biryani anywhere else after this.<br/><br/>If anyone has not tried their biryani trust me you are missing on something. <br/>I feel they should make the sitting arrangement more nice so more people can visit this place. <br/>Guys dont ever take the biryani in form of parcel as it wont taste its actual taste . <br/><br/>Great biryanis. This has been worst experience i have ever had that too in terms of taste ! We had masala papad ,veg 65 and chicken tandoori in starters and that was pathetic :( . We couldn't order main course here after tasting starters. Food rates negative here. Service average.Ambiance average. Don't you ever dare to try this even of it is the last option left for you !

Why go there? For good and different styled chicken and mutton dishes. Pepper chicken is must try and so is rann mutton. The ambience is not that great and the service is average. The restaurant is pretty easy on the pocket and a good visit once in a while if you run out of options. <br/>Go there with your guys group, not a very welcoming family place.

Rating 5 - especially for Biriyani lovers!!!! <br/>Too good. If you want to have really good biriyani, then this is the place. Very good taste and quick service. Been here many times and they haven't compromised on the taste. The another dish you would like to check out is Chicken Chilly.<br/>They do not have "Credit/Debit Card" facility, so ensure you carry cash along with you. No swipe of cards, which is bit unusual these days, but doesn't matter....Biriyanii......wallah wallah!!!!!

One of the finest biryani's in Pune served with boiled potato! Should definitely try Raan but order shall be made one day prior in advance. Chicken bhuna platter strongly advised for large groups.

This place has been running in since a while. I have mixed reviews for this place. Good food, good seating arrangement, great staff, but questionable hygiene levels. The place is known for its luncheon and attracts quick lunchies from offices in the mid-afternoon time. <br/><br/>Perhaps one of the most popular Chicken Biryani makers of Pune Camp. They have a notable taste of the masala they use to cook Biryanis. The rice are long grained and and the masalas used turn them brown instead of yellow's as opposed to many other restaurants. Fairly priced with a decent quantity, it's good value for money. <br/><br/>Too many flies and slightly ill-maintained tables upon arrival can take down a lot of their credit. I'll settle for 3.5 for this one.

To visit Grand darbar is not a bad idea, though the a regular family guy might think otherwise looking at its appearance, location and crowd...<br/><br/>Its obviously not the most hi fi restaurant in the area... its not very well located and the ambience doesnt do anything for you...<br/>The service and presentation of the dishes might be more off putting and welcoming to some people...<br/>But its once you get past these things is when you can enjoy this place...<br/>The sucess of this place lies in the taste and pricing of this place...<br/>The chicken 65 here is a priceless dish that I have been enjoying for the past 5-6 years and they definitely have kept it consistent for this long. <br/><br/>This might not be a perfect place for you to visit with ur family not to have a Grand celebration (pun intended) but with ur friends or even by urself this place can be a pretty good experience and that is if you get past the Appearance and Illusions of this place.

Mast.. tried majority chicken dishes .. its awesome. Worth eating non veg here.. Chicken biryani is also too good.. tandor is also properly marinated n cooked. We visit there at lest once in two months. .

This used to be our non veg paradise during college days, and specially for authentically done murg mussallam and raan<br/><br/>Those things haven't charged you still need to order raan a day in advance and by making part payment<br/><br/>But the service has gone bad, last time I was there we were told that no starters were available, we directly got to the raan masala n it has too good, then they didn't have salad that my friends kid wanted, we ordered 2 zeera rice but got one zeera n one steamed rice saying that making it zeera would take 20 mins. And all this on a Sunday night around 9:00 pm<br/><br/>Next time I'll prefer getting that raan home n enjoying it

This is another place that I've been going for many years. Once again a place that many people see on the road but hardly venture. <br/><br/>The food served here is mughlai and this place is quite popular. I've had various main dishes and although they share the same masala (more or less), the food is quite enjoyable. I love the biryani that they serve here. Once again, I'm talking about the mutton biryani. The spiciness and quality of the mutton is just right. The serving is quite a mouthful.<br/><br/>The next time you see this place, stop, order a takeaway and you won't regret it.

'GRAND DARBAR' is my favourite place for Biryani.... I have been eating here since 1998.. Interior is still the same since..so is the food quality n taste... whenever I go there, i ask for extra portion of biryani aloos, they are just mind blowing.. <br/>Rest of the menu isnt that appealing (or may be its coz I am in love wid their biryani).. owners have maintained standards and always have kept it 'VALUE FOR MONEY'.. <br/><br/>I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR BIRYANI..(go on FRIDAY)

grand darbar is my favourite pick for its dum biryani and dal ghosh it is amazing...ambience wise its nice and simple..the service is prompt.kudos to the owners for keeping the standard and the quality of food going from the past so many years.

this used to be when we were in college in 2001-2005.Grand Darbar had the most amazing murg mussalam,butter chicken and mughlai food I can remember in pune.It was a must visit for us atleast once a week.Havent eaten here in over 8 years now though but truly miss those times!

One of the best Dum Biryani I have had in Pune. With the deterioration with many popular places, Grand Darbar has been consistent with the quality and quantity of the biryani served. I first visited the place way back in 2003 and I don't see any change in the food except for the change in it's price.<br/><br/>The Biryani is served in a plate with the top layer consisting of the white/saffron flavoured rice and as you dig deep you will find succulent mutton pieces which is very well marinated with spices, onions and tomatoes.<br/><br/>After you finish a handsome meal, the only thing that comes to your mind is , 'That was gooood'.

Try Checken Biryani, Tandoori Chicken and Shami Kabab... yummmmmm
