The food served is very authentic and tasty. Also, the costing is reasonable. The hospitality fo the staff is commendable.
I especially loved the kheer and the karela potato fries chips kind of a thing that was served as a part of the thali
I have been visiting this place almost once a week for a year or so....love the ambience, you can appreciate it more if you are an odia... coming to presentation, again it's a delightful experience to have food in the nice copper utensils, not sure if it's authentic or not, but quite heavy and feels good... finally the taste, my personal fvrt here is besar macha, specially the one served dry... and then, ghanta (mixed veg) curry, rest items are also good but the afore mentioned items have never gone wrong for me... happy to have an authentic odia restaurant in vicinity of my home and office...other items one must try - mutton curry, chingudi masala, alu karla fry, dahi baigan, dalma.. 4 star bcoz a want them to serve few more varieties..
Great value for money. Excellent taste and healthy food (very less oil and less spicey). I recommend Thalis for the first timers. Authentic Odia taste
Awesome odia food with authentic taste of odisha. Always love to eat here being an Odia. 5 out of 5 stars. Would recommend every one to come and dine here.
Tasty food...... Executive are very helpful for selecting right food..
Being from Odisha, it gets extremely difficult to enjoy the local cuisine outside the state (not that its any easier within it). Odiya cuisine unlike bengali cuisine isnt quite as popular mostly due to the fault of its restaurants not marketing it properly and not preserving its simplicity of food through minimal spices and oil in the food.
Odisha hotel, in Hinjewadi has good ambience and has good hygiene albeit being small. Copper utensils used evoke the traditional odiya household feel which is very nostalgic. Service is very good as well (waiters could talk in Odiya which was music to ears :) )
There were two of us, who ordered the following post a tiring ordeal of getting our car tires fixed.
1. Mutton Kassa (succulent pieces of mutton in a semi thick gravy)
2. Prawns fry (cooked with mild spices in a traditional way)
3. Crab curry (awesome if you like crab), mix veg (contains multiple local veg dishes such as saag and aloo bhaja)
4. Dahi baingan (fried brinjal in dahi, really good),
5. Ghanta tarkari (mix veg curry specific to Odisha, might be an acquired taste)
6. Kheer (Similiar to a rice pudding)
7. Chena poda (Indian cheesecake)
What I should write. It's a great combo for thaali. I liked the items specially daal and kheer;my family members loved as it's more like our home food Odisha being close to Bengal in cuisine. Indeed the thaali had nearly 7_8 items and nothing fancy. All are well cooked and delivered. Odisha hotel you rock!
If you want to try odia cuisine its a must visit place! The authenticity of place is too good. Liked the ambience and quality.
It was my second visit to this place and experience was amazing as usual. Previously, I tried Chicken thali and it was really worth every penny. This time we ordered the following
1. Chicken jhol
2. Rice
3. Begun bhaja
4. Malpua
1. Chicken jhol: Awesome *****
Being a non-odia person, I was bit skeptical about it, but trust me this dish is perfect amalgamation of spices, thickness of gravy, and well cooked chicken pieces. We asked for jhol (gravy) 4 times and they served without any complaint along with aloo in it. This is must try dish at this place.
2. Rice : Awesome *****
You might wonder what can be exceptionally different in rice. But this rice was well cooked and you can feel the aroma of ghee in it. The Best part of it is super cheap (50 rs)and sufficient one person.
3. Begun bhaja: Awesome *****
Three large pieces with sesame seeds sprinkled over it. Yummy in taste.
4. Malpua: ***
This was different Malpua from the ones I tried earlier. Sauf/fennel seeds was something I never came across in malpua before so this unusual for me. But I confirmed from Odia friends it is normal across Odia states so it varies from place to place.
Overall, it is value for money and must if you want to taste Odia food.
#odia_food #yummy_chicken_jhol

Malpua (sweet dish)
Pune is one of the best place to restaurants to grow as in Pune people from all cuisine and regions are here. This is one of the new restaurant from Odisha cusine, India's hidden treasure for the people of Pune like me who loves to explore food of different cuisine.
They have a wide range of food including vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. They uses the style of preparation which Odisha people followed in their home. The real taste of sea food and mutton.
Daily they get delivered from Odisha, the best prawns, mutton. Don't want to take risk on quality.
We tried Fish fry, Mutton curry thali and chilika prawns curry.
Fish fry: Fried with onion and rohi fish.
The taste of mutton was unbelievable and too delicious. One of their signature dish.
Then we jumped into the prawns. A perfect blend spices and perfectly cooked by them delicious.
The thali contains rice, karela(bitter gourd) fry, Dalma(made of lentils and vegetables ) and papad. One of the best food I have ever had.
They have some signature deserts from heart of Odisha.
The service was good and a worth visit, Perfect value for money.
Food:5/5
Service:4/5
Value for money :4/5
Ambiance :4/5
only authentic Odia restaurant . KHANTI Odia. Taste..
We ordered prawn thali , mustard fish curry .
5/5 for the food.
And from the desert we ordered "Chena Poda" . Taste was ok, not so bad but I guess could be better.
But food is bit expensive. Can cause little damage to your pocket.
If you want to eat authentic Odia food then this is one of the good place in Pune . They use to serve all the food in a copper vessel and the taste of the food is really amazing like home cooked food . I had veg thali set and I quite like the food. You will get all the sweet fish as well . You should try crab , mutton there . Thanks Mr Santosh to serve is good food 👍👍👍
Consider going here if you like eating typical Kerala food/authentic Malayali flavours. Chicken Kotthu Parotta is highly recommended. I also liked their Ayala fry. You can also try their egg-appam and drinks like Blue Lagoon or Lemonade.
If you are looking for authentic odiyan food then you can't get a better place than this. Good portion size, nice spices and variety in the thali options. Only issue I found was that the place is a bit stinky as if the meat is being cut there.
Good place to find odisha food in pune. As it is a new restaurents all dishes were not available. Jodi kichi odia flavour try karibaro echa achi...you should go here...
The odia food are really nice....price is reasonable taking its not in odisha..i will suggest to try out our odia food rather than the non odia food...guaranteed u will feel like home...Ambience is also nice decorated with piplis lanterns and sweet odia background songs.
This place has authentic odia food. Also the service is too good. We had Chicken, prawns and Veg thali. It tasted very nice.
Loved the food out there.... People from odisha who stay on pune make sure you visit here...
Need to improve air conditioning and Everytime i have visited there was water problem in washroom...
