I like spicy food and I’m very much used to it but Kathiyawadi khichdi I ordered it was extremely spicy.
This restaurant is located near C.P Tank.
This restaurant serves Punjabi cuisine and Khichdi's. My personal favourite is Paneer Tikka Masala,Dal Khichdi and Badam Milkshake.
Paneer Tikka Masala they prepare is one of its kind. The have a unique gravy preparation which has Paneer and Capsicum pieces. It finger licking. Must try this.
Dal Khichdi is one of their special items. It's a unique mixture of Dal and Khichdi. I strongly recommend you to try this. You'll fall in love with it.
Badam Milkshake is what one exactly needs to end their meal.
My overall experience was-5/5.

This place is very good for family dining. Food is also very good. Dal khichadi and dal bati churma is speciality.
This is a family kinda restaurant. They serve 8 10 varieties of khichdi apart from punjabi and chinese. Here the food is homely and tasty. Grab some lunch or dinner here.
Good quality food, fresh food, will be happy if they don't use news paper for food wrapping as it's not hygienic, and send spoon also with order
Good, neat and clean atmosphere food like eating at home keep it up and and maintain the food quality good good person delivery boy. Thanks for food
Wow.. Its the only word i say when I read the name Khichdi Samrat👐 It is really a Samrat for vegetarians.. So many varieties to order seriously..
Love the cheese khichdi and masala khichdi here. The paneer biryani is also good.

Khichdi Samrat, the name says it all. Here, in these traffic-choked lanes, you'd find this King of khichdis, not looking royal in any way but the food is another thing.
Went there early on a Sunday, for three reasons. To avoid the traffic, savour their Sunday specials and catch them at a time when there would be less customers. This third one was done because of lots of negative reviews about the staff and their rude behaviour. My friend and I figured that if the staff wasn't tired already then maybe they'd treat us better. And boy, were we right! There were smiling faces all round, pleasantly beckoning us to sit. We were the first customers that day.
Now, for the food. Once again had read both highly positive and sorely negative reviews about them. Seems the staff, including the manager is rude if the customers complain about the food. So was wary, naturally.
But the food Gods were smiling on us that lazy Sunday afternoon. Ordered the highly recommended Vrindavan special khichdi in desi ghee. Yum's not the word. It deserves something much, much better. It was really soul-satisfying and sublime. The Indian version of chicken soup for the soul. Not exaggerating.
My friend ordered the Kathiawadi khichdi which was comparatively spicier and loaded with veggies.
We ordered the Sunday specials, dal dhokli and dal bati. These are available on certain other days too. They tasted well but the dhokli was a tad doughy.
We ordered dahi fry and khichiya churi made in pure ghee as accompaniments. They were worth it.
The portions are really good. So had to bring back some as take away and savoured them at home too.
I would really like to go back on some Sunday to sample more dishes.
