After so much search for good hotel in this area finally we got this hotel for lunch. Taken special as well as normal thali. Both are tasty and with sufficient bhaji and tandoor roti. Rice was given in small quantity but otherwise recommended for family lunch.
Shivarsh Biryani is the name for this place when we visited.
Great food. I ordered chicken thali, pahadi kebab and desi ghee biryani. Each dish was very sumptuous. Also the quantity of the food was more than enough for me to feel loaded. The price was affordable.
Surya Restaurants is recently reenamed to Konkan Darbar. The non veg and sea food is their speciality. I have loved their Chicken Hundi and tandoor. Butter Chicken is bit sweeter than normally available. I would recommend you to take their Naan over Tandoor Roti.
A peaceful place for dinning. Easily visible in regular traffic, ample of parking place available. Cool atmosphere. Very polite serving staff. Great hospitality, this was the first joint where the waiter of his own asked whether I need fan to be put ON.
As far as quality of food, great !! though full of spices, never felt like having something harsh. Will recommend Non veg food here.
Card payments are also accepted. Do visit once to suit your taste
The thick gravy of Mutton curry and Chicken Sukha nice taste a tipical Manglore style of food. The taste is super awesome and the owner of the Restorant with a pleasing personality helps in selecting the right dishes.

I found this hotel 3-4 months back, since then I have visited this hotel 12 to 15 times. They have wonderful variety of dishes.
First dish which I will recommend is Paneer Chilly Dry. They always have Fresh Malai Paneer pieces which are tender and soft. The Gravy taste is out of the world. Quantity is enough for 3 people and price is around 150 bucks.
Next Dish is Veg Biryani. Being a Hard Core Nonvegetarian person, We never believe that there is dish called Veg Biryani for us its Pulao. But i was wrong when I tried Veg Biryani of Surya. Quantity is good price is Rs. 145 and it really worth it. Especially it goes well with the Gravy they serve.
Next Dish I tried is Chicken Biryani. There is no need to say whether I loved it or not, given the review of Veg Biryani.
Today I tried Veg Manchurian as well. Gravy had authentic Chinese Taste. Manchurian Balls were crispy. So over all a Nice experience.
So if you are searching for a Good, Clean and pocket friendly hotel in kothrud, its a must go. Plus it is situated in Calm locality so you will have peace eating. Must Visit!

Taste is too good. Even reasonable prices. Quantity is too good. Just Ambiance is not that good so 4/5. But for food quality and taste 5/5.
