Wholesome, fishy goodness!
We had the Special Fish Thali and got extra Solkadis (perfect to wash down the masala). The curries were bomb. Accompanied by the fluffiest rice bhakris. And the prawn khichdi is just the coziest plate of comfort.

Located in the heart of Pune city, the Fish Thali is a small cozy place with probably the best fish thali in the town.
They have varieties of surmai, pomfret, bangda, bombil, and prawns thali. I had the surmai thali.
Beautiful soft rice flour bhakris, fried surmai fish and curry, prawns curry, solkadhi, prawns lonche, and indrayani rice - each and every dish was absolutely lip smacking perfect.
Although it's fairly small restaurant it's pretty cozy and has got a nice ambience. Would highly recommend.

Superb yummy tasty home style cooked food. Each and every thing is tasty including kokam chutney with bombil fry. All thalis are yummy .
Nice fish thali and vey good prawns khichdi. The fried fish is very good marinated. Must go for outdoors fish eating person they have limited food so go early and enjoy. Not for veg person.

Prawns are awesome. Prawns khichadi is so tasty and soft even teethless people can eat.
I visited the place yesterday on my own. Experienced taste of home in their surmai fish thali. They have a small write up in local Marathi language on their menu card which sums up that there is no place in the world that comes close to home cooked meal and nothing beats mother's recipes. True to those words they serve some authentic tasting food here. I thoroughly recommend this place for seafood lovers like me. π
Loved the food here. It was me and my wife, so we ordered one Surmai thali and another khichadi Thali. Note that they don't provide Bhakri with Khichadi thali, however the quantity of khichadi is more in the thali, and generous number of prawns in there. So we did a mix n match by sharing the Bhakri and Khichadi. We both loved the food, especially the prawns curry, khichadi and prawns pickle. Keep up π
Excellent fish dishes. Each fish preparation has different taste. Most of the food is freshly prepared.
If you are upto travelling to shivaji nagar and in the mood to have some amazing home cooked sea food then you guys should drop in the to the fish thali. Yes that's the name of the place and very easy to find, my wife wanted to eat some sea food and a thali and so we got 2 in 1. We ordered the bombil fish fry and loved it π and then had the main course of Rawas thali and one more I cannot remember. The place is run extensively well and is very clean and hygienic and service is super. I recommend all to try this home cooked run restaurant π π π
