Best experience that I ever had. The food was so good value for money and the rooms are so clean and comfortable.
It's one of the oldest Gujarati lodge operating in multiple cities including Rajkot. The only option was of unlimited Gujarati thali for â‚ą300. But the food was authentic, it tasted exactly like homemade food. I've tried multiple Gujarati restaurants but above all I liked the food taste here. I will be visiting in the future for sure.
This place is known for its versatile Gujarati Thali. There is a long queue everyday for lunch and dinner. If you want to have lunch, reach there by 12, so you can get your turn in 20-30 minutes.

I don’t like if someone is on top of me while I am eating, that’s the only point I gave 3 for service. If you are in Rajkot, this is must try place.
the food was just amazing.. after a long time I had a sumptuous Gujarati thali.. very tasty, very good quality ingredients.. the waiters also served with a smile
Taste is very good if you're looking for an authentic punjabi dishes and maintaining hygiene , serving is also great ; i tried paneer tikka platter which is very tasty and proper baked in barbeque, green apple mojito is best here must try it. Dal makhani shots are awesome with stuffed naan.
Restaurant Staff is very responsive and have good manners. I like the service and hospitality. Place is good and sitting arrangements are also nice and comfortable. Price is little bit higher but food is totally worth it in terms of taste and quality.
We visited "The Grand Thakar" for having delicious Thali. We went for Girnar, Saurashtra tour and while coming back visited Rajkot. Our search for delicious Thali actually ended here in Rajkot.
If anyone is looking for unlimited Thali at reasonable price with a great service this is the place. It seems this place is quite quite famous because being a weekday also place was hugely crowded. They offer many items in the Thali, two sweets, different Farsan items. Taste of the food is really really good. Service is really good and people are very co-operative there.
Good location. Good place for an event of approx 250 people. Food quality is Good. They have wide range of dishes in Gujarati thaali. But it is Overcrowded place.Good ambience, famous Gujarati thali since years! Costly too, but the quality is worth it. Parking congestion during peak lunch hours or due to any event booking there.

Very very nice hotel..Staffs are very very cordial and helpful..
Foods are superb and are of very very good quality..
Morning breakfast is fabulous specially I have never taken Masala Dhosa in my 43 years of life which is tooooooo delicious and samabar is so fresh...every food items have been very carefully prepared and tastes are heavenly...Even being a Bengali my 10 year son does not like anything except Chicken Items like KFC, Dominos...however, he had eaten yesterday night on 16.11.2023 one full butter nun with Paneer Butter Masala very quickly...it was so so tasty...and oil and preparation is so much good that even having food at late night @11.30 p.m. and even awakening @ 4.00 a.m. morning, for morning walk, I have never experienced problem of acidity, indigestion whereas I am a Gastric Patient with IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrom) problem with frequent loose motion..
My sorrow that I could not give him 6 Star out of 5 star which is beyond my limit

Had a short stay together with family on 4th Sep'23 for few hours at this hotel on the way to Somnath. Had Lunch at The Grand Thakar Rajkot. Wow amazing food. Service, taste and hospitality all 5 star. A fantastic lunch with variety of menu in the Thali and each one was amazing taste. Also after food, no harm to stomach at all. After food felt as good as home food. Few days later came back to Rajkot, wanted to have dinner there and the dinner was also awesome with varieties of food to choose. Everyone of us had experienced very good and satisfied food, and sure will go back to this place. Met Krushankar Bhai at TGT restaurant, Thanks for your hospitality Brother ! Sure your place is one of the iconic at Rajkot! No one should miss eating the Grand Thali Lunch at TGT Rajkot!
Good place to have food. Good punjabi authentic food. Price comparison to quantity is bit high. Parking place: they are not having a proper parking space but if you go with two wheeler then you can easily park your vehicle but you can face a problem if you go with four wheeler. Ambiance is good. Sweet Lassi and Butter Milk was too good. And must try their best King Naan - Amrutsari kulca if you are visiting in group. They uses high quantity of Garam masala so there normal is also spicy. Good for spicy lovers. Always good.
