This is the best hotel/restaurant for sea food lovers.
They serve very delicious non veg thali. You will get different options for fish in it. The fry/masala prawns are the best. Sol kadhi is also very delicious.
Must try if you are in Sawant Vadi.
recently visited 2nd time here, i must say quality of food is so good but 1 thing disappointed me most, that is service they took almost 1 hour to serve us and the most painfull is they serve everyone except us that time, service is too slow, too disappointing,
should try chonak thali, surmai, prwans fry, pomfret should be avoided as it was stinking at the time of serving so we exchanged with surmai thali, one suggestion is please improve service as it is one of the best restaurant as compared to very famous restaurant which are too much overrated my point of view.

On way back from Goa had lunch at Bandekars Sawantwadi. One of the most lovely lunch ever had. Fresh home made like items. Every item in the thali was great. The Bhakri was too good and too big in size. The fried prawns were tasty. The most delicious was the Chonak masala. We hogged on the same. Chicken was ok. Not to forget the Solkadhi.
Surprisingly the toilets were clean. A pleasant experience for sure. A must visit place for fish eaters.

We had ordered Surmai thali . It was very fresh & the size of the surmai was huge.

If you are a sea food lover, then this place is meant for you. Very delicious food prepared using local spices and fresh catch. During lunch time it gets crowded and you may have to wait for your turn. But this is due to its popularity and value for money menu. We tried pomfret thali and believe me it's superb if you like konkani cuisine. On top of it you get steaming hot rice unlimited alongwith fish curry. Do try Sol kadhi. Actually it deserves 5 star but some scope is left for improvement in the area of spic n span interiors and kitchen setup, and dining area as well. Nevertheless it's a must visit place at Sawantwadi. Do enjoy.
It was a rare find on the road. Bandekar's have simple thali/ plate style menu. If you are fish lover then surmai thali is highly recommended. Fresh and delicious fish is always guaranteed. Solkadhi is not that great but it's not big of a deal anyway. Apart from good food, the rates are also very reasonable. Only thing is, it's not AC restaurant, if it concerns you. If you are around Sawantwadi in Sindhudurg and looking for lunch or dinner option, this place is highly recommended.
