One of the best restaurant in Shillong, but they could improve the service. It takes some time to get your food, and the waiter are sometimes a bit lost. Other than that the food is extremely good. They offer you some starters. Their mutton was melting in the mouth. They can welcome big groups of people. Good place overall that is worth visiting.
We have been to City Hut Family Dhaba for first time for dinner on christmas's next day . It’s a family-owned restaurant, with friendly service and fency cooking styles, Their dishes are quite popular at dinner, but In my opinion, they really excel at deserts. The menu has lots of variety, and the specials are interesting. There is a good mix of sweet and savory options and even some healthy choices. Portions are very generous. It’s popular so be prepared to wait if you come later than 4:30 PM. We ordered only veg menu including two type of soups, one appetizer and main course. Service was very late and very disappointing. We have waited for 1hour for the food even after ordering the food. Ambience is so good, we like the vibe of this location but good food is the priority for customer.
I just loved this place, the entire Jiva chain to be honest. This too is one of the great places from Jiva. The food is good, tasty, not overly oily, well prepared north indian dishes, which isn't very common in the area.
The staff is very helpful and takes extra effort to help you with things, and to make your experience better.
We went here for a second time on a single trip, on our return journey, that is how much we liked it!
In Shillong if your celebrating something there's one place that's never gonna disappoint you. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and guys the ambience, hospitality & mostly the food and the people out there may you feel at home. Thank you City Hut Dhaba, you always delighted us.
It's a part of Jiva Restaurant. The interior was good. The food here was mostly North Indian. The price might be a little on the higher side but the taste did the justice for the price and the quantity. It's a little bit crowded and a few minutes away from the Police Bazar. Must visit place.
Fine dining place with good ambience. At first looking at the menu feels overpriced however the quality does the justice to the price. Looks like Shillong has a chain of Jiva, where each section of jiva is good and unique in itself. Loved the place, where you can spend quality time and cherish the food. If you happen to be at police bazar, definitely recommend visiting this place.

This is a very good place for family, friends or couples... The food is amazing .. i would say it is one of the best places in Shillong to eat... It has veg and non veg options. They are hygiene conscious.
The staff is friendly and accomodating.
Kavita who took our reservation is very warm and understands the requirements very well.
A very nice and beautiful restaurant with good interior as well as exterior located just near police bazar, Shillong. The food was 5/5. Chicken butter masala was really tasty along with butter naan and fried rice. Clean and hygiene washrooms. Overall a very good experience.
As a tourist, I'm glad to say that City Hut Dhaba is one of the best restaurants in Shillong for classic North India Cuisine. Both ambience and food service are upto the standard as told by other reviews. Would recommend for tourists visiting Shillong.
