Review Nalini - Shimla

Good restaurant at the Mall...has ample sitting area... Gets rushed during peak hours easily which can impact service a bit but the overall staff behaviour and food taste make up for it... Rates may seem a bit on the higher end but quantity served can feed up to 4 persons. Paneer butter masala was for Rs 395 but quantity was enough for 4 people. The taste was amazing like at home.

I am a South Indian , and from bangalore and here in Shimla I found decent idli as my daughter was sick here 😋 aloo paratha was also good , coffee was very good ! Sambar was very delicious 🤤 I think coming from a North Indian cook this idli & sambar was too good 👍 recommend others to try .. service was quick , friendly staff , clean dining area & clean washroom i think idli recipe could be perfected a little bit.. and probably try other chutneys like peanut wala , onion tomato wala as they didn't make coconut chutney so good, also i think there is weather restrictions and coconut is expensive for them in Himachal pradesh

Highly highly overpriced and very bad attitude of shop keeper. Food is fantastic but very overpriced like fine dining rates. Waiters and owner are rude and arrogant

One of the best restaurants on The Mall Road is Shimla, near the lift. The best thing here is the good sitting place. After you get tired after roaming on the mall road, you can rest and catch your breath. Food is reasonably priced; Coffee is excellent.

Food is tasty here and they serve every dish hot hot, so for that climate it's good. Cost wise it is little expensive

This place is a very good place with quite a ambience to have dinner with friends, family.<br/>Service is good by every waiter and food is served on time<br/>They even have heaters on every time so that a person should not feel cold in the season<br/>We ordered:<br/>Paneer butter masala<br/>Dal makhani<br/>Butter roti<br/>Paneer was not that upto mark but dal was good and eatable.

It was a good experience here visiting. But found the ordered food was pricey than the other restaurants in the line. All the best!

Love the coffee, south indian food :) must try masala dosa , vada sambar and chowmin with GARLIC sauce and dry chilly paneer .. it is YUM!! The sizzlers are a hit too..<br/>

Pathetic food I don’t know how these guys are surviving till now ... that all I can say ... rest it’s all upto you ... still have guts to upset your stomach then go ahead ...

Nalini is one of the best Restaurant in shimla on the mall road near main Lift. Food is delicious and must try dishes is Dosa + Veg Thali (adorable taste) sambhar was above average. Nalini is good for pure veg eating place on mall.Staff is ok and service is also good.

Not worth it at all. Taste is below average, costs are quite high considering quality. Not at all recommended for proper meal, do avoid Nalini

A great restaurant on the mall road to have a family dinner. The food quality was good,the taste was good but the price wasn't worth it. It wasn't that expensive but still according to the taste it wasn't worth it. I ordered onion masala dosa,veg momos and onion uttapam. Momos were not uniformly filled with vegetables,some pieces were too spicy to eat while some were bland. The dosa was average but sambhar was above average. Year old trusted taste. Comfort food while traveling back from the ridge. Right amount if everything makes the dishes extraordinary. <br/>And there gulab jamun is the bitter cold is a must try.

Wish I could give a zero. Ate dosa, sambhar vada and noodles as time for lunch was over. It was 4.15 pm. Food was not good at all. Please avoid. Service is also poor.

Not much options for very good food on Mall road, Shimla as this doesn’t qualify as good either. Looks great from outside but looks deceive and is very okayish from inside.<br/><br/>The food here is not bad as we had paneer butter masala, dal fry and the usual roti. <br/>You might try other options on Mall road as well.

Food was not good, we had south indian food. Idli was very hard and sambhar was not good. Service is ok. Overpriced according to the taste. Place is very congested. Ladies Washroom was very very dirty.
