Was looking forward to some North Indian delicacies, especially Tandoor based and luckily discovered this place nearby the Surat Railway Station. This is more of a modest place without any ambience as such, with simple seating arrangements and below average hygiene, but yes, they will serve you delicious food coupled with good service at very pocket friendly prices.
They have a vast menu signifying ample variety and we were pretty impressed by the smart hospitality provided by that aged attendant. Our order included kadhai paneer, tandoori roti, dal makhani, mixed vegetables, papad and complimentary onion salads (of course). These Gujaratis do enjoy serving (as well as eating) loads and loads of onions.
Food quality is good although food quantity is pretty moderate, and yes, we enjoyed all the above curries to our heart’s content! Food was duly customized as per our preferences i.e. no garlic, no chillies, no sugar etc!
It’s indeed difficult to choose a particular favourite, as all their items tickle your taste buds.

Good quality north indian food. Taste are awesome. I oftenly ordered food from there it serves good quality food. The original Punjab da taste they have.
I wont say about ambience as it is not that kind of restaurant which needs to attract people from ambience

Today we gone at satlaj hotel and it dont look very high class it look average but when we sit and then we order alu paratha and roti and malai kofta and dal makhani .let start with alu paratha in alu paratha the stuffing of alu was very less and hence it was little much of salty and very spicy also so i didnt like it very much . Then we order malai kofta it was not at all sweet it was spicy and i like it because it was not sweet i dont like sweet sabzi but at some other restuarants the malai kofta means sweet sabzi so who like spicy malai kofta u have to go satlaj and the sabzi was awesome . Then we order butter roti and when it come there was lots of amul butter on roti so i think punjabies like this place and then we order dal makhni with normal jeera rice . When dal makhni came it was very thin so i had a doubt that it will taste good or bad and when i taste it it was perfect and the bill for three person is 500 rupees . The prices are low but the food is awesome .
Good pocket friendly restaurant near by surat railway station.If you are food lover instead of ambience than must must try black dal( spicy)..you can also try dal khichdi and punjabi dishes..they have ac hall also.

Great food and service. Had to wait as the restaurant was full but totally worth the wait. The paneer tikka masala was perfect. Not too spicy not too salty, not too bland, just great. The butter rotis were nice, chass wasn't too thick or too watery. Vibes are like a highway hotel with a lot of customers, but nothing off putting.
It's a complete satisfaction restaurant,if you like Punjabi food, you will definitely love this, it's a normal restaurant don't expect much about interior n ambience ,but food n masala is really authentic taste

Pure vegetarian ..ac and non ac food is very awesome but expensive ...but good for halth ...hotal manager is a Punjabi sikh and staff is very friendly so you can choose a right palace to take food
