This is especially for non-veg food lovers. The food was very delicious and we ordered surmai, rawas and crab thali... Veg preparation is not that great as we ordered sukka Fanas bhaji and it was very salty.. The waiting time on weekends could be anything from 30 -45 mins..Parking of vehicles is a big problem even on Sundays. Beer is available but only pint beer and the rates are too high. Seating arrangements need improvement as the space is too congested for 5 people.. Overall the sea food quality is awesome 👍

Food tastes good. Very crowded. I got waiting queue. I beleive generally it be like that. It's a sea food restaurant with decent ambience. The moment you'll enter in, you'll smell those fishes. Bombil fry and prawns tava fry was delicious. Surmai tava fry was nice too. I tried Crab lolipop for the first time over here however, i didn't like it. I'm not sure if that's how crab lolipop tastes as i said already it was the first time i tried. Mutton sukkha was nice but very salty. Fish was fresh. When we usually go to any sea food restaurant, priority is be the freshness of fish and that's what was there. Rate is average. A must try👍

Visited the restaurant earlier this month, nestled at the corner on the service road of highway leading towards Mumbai. Nov Gomantak was on my wishlist for a while. Ambiance was decent, however place isn't huge hence there was a considerable waiting time after 8.00 PM Noticed most people were eating Thali which is their signature specials. However I ordered few items from individual sections. Service was quick and attentive. Crab Lollipop looked good and I was hoping for a taste as near as Chaitanya Dadar however was bit disappointed. Crab Lollipop were not fried for longer, even though the exterior was crisp the inside portion was still cold and that was turn off. Bombil Rava Fry was delicious and well made. However my favorite was Batatyachi Kaap. Each bite was crisp and fried to perfection. Marination was spicy as per my particular instruction. Loved it. Overall decent to good first experience here. Looking forward to try more varieties.

Nice sea food restaurant 😋 soul kadhi was really good n very tasty. Prawn masala and fish fry are also nice. Prawn biryani was a bit too spicy. But the surmai fry was nice. One time visit is a must.

Nav Gomantak is a quaint restaurant right next to the highway! Food is exclusively for malvani seafood lovers. The quality and quantity is top notch! ⭐ For starters we tried the - Bombil Rava Fry and Crab Lollipop. Both were served hot and melted in the mouth. For mains we ordered the Surmai Fry Thali (choice of chapati/bhakri/wade + rassa + coconut and kokum chutney+ sol kadhi + dry prawn chutney + rice) and Pithla Bhakri Thali (veg thali - sol kadhi, rice and daal + chutney). The Thali is very filling so it's better to go easy on the starters. Sol kadhi was the best. If you're planning to come with a lot of people then better come early otherwise you've to be waiting outside.

Nav gomatak , a must try for a sea food lover. South West coastal konkani and goan flavours. Food was amazing, tried the surumai thali. Fresh fish , and that authentic tastes wil melt ur taste buds Crowded most of the times, and you may have to wait .

The hotel is really awesome in its taste and service!! This is my review after 3rd visit to their hotel today. As mentioned by other people about wait time - yes it is approx 35-40 mins on weekends and it is worth spending this time to enjoy non veg delicacy. The hotel is purely for non vegetarians but you will still get veg food at similar taste as that of Non Veg. I know I may sound rude / nostalgic about vegetarian but this place is mainly for non vegetarian to enjoy the sea food items such as Crab 🦀, prawns 🍤, 🐟, etc. The crab lollipop as starter is one of the best starter one can enjoy. Followed by Prawns koliwada !!!ummm it’s sooo tasty 😍🥰 The location is good on service road next to Shell Petrol pump, people can park their cars. The hotel should renovate their entrance / more appealing entrance as due to a tree coming in between hides the name a bit. Taste of sea food is awesome because all the items we ordered were 100% fresh!! No frozen food 👏🏻👌🏻 Prawns, crab, pomphret, rawas etc were freshly cooked!! Only 1 suggestion— they need to increase the space to accommodate more people and continue serving them the same delicious, fresh food.

Visited this restaurant late last month on 27 September 2023 while returning from Shirdi, it had a closed sign on the door. We requested staff to serve us and to use toilets as it was a long drive while coming back to Mumbai. On most of tables people were eating Thali which is their signature specials. We had ordered Pomphret thali, Ravas thali, Mutton thali and Rice with Kokum kadhi. Service was quick and attentive. We had a great experience and wishing team Nav Gomantak very very best and kudos to chef and his team too.! Highly recommended for locals around this area.

Had been here for dinner. Ambience is simple. We tried their tisrya thali And Rawas tawa fry. Tisrya Thali was too good, the quality and quantity of tisrya were upto the mark. Rawas fish was not that great, the taste was good but fish was not fresh. I would recommend their Tisrya Thali.

Located on service road,almost opposite to korum mall, the place is filled on Sundays. It is a age friendly place so you might find small kiddos to oldies to enjoy the food. The staff is fine. The service is fine. Since it was Sunday won't blame. Even if the service is good at start gradually starts slowing down by the end that's what I noticed.The food is good overall. What we ordered: Starter : Bangda tawa fry : A good start for fish lovers. Kheema pattice : This non oily pattice, is a must try. A soft pattice filled with minced mutton and the flavor was amazing. Recommended!! Thali : Surmai thali : Comes with a good sized fish piece, with coconut kokum chutney, bhakri or chapati (your choice of bread), sol kadi, fish gravy, steamed rice. The masala coating on fish seemed less. Usually I ignore the fish gravy, but this one was good. Prawns thali: Recommended!!! For all Prawns lover. A gravy with soft Prawns, is a must try. Chicken sukke masala thali: Almost all their thali has the basic.Comes with chicken, sol kadi, bread of of choice, a seafood restro serving a tasty chicken thali was unexpected! Mutton thali : The gravy was tasty, the piece were cooked perfectly. Fresh lime soda sweet: a too sweet soda to end with. Overall experience was good a must try place.

A really good place to have Goan & Konkani food. Ambience is simple, food is heavenly, service is also good with friendly staff. We ordered for Fried Squid, Pomfret Reachado, Stuffed Bombil and in main course I am not able to recall, but overall food was awesome. Dont miss Solkadhi here. A good place for family loving seafood.In appetisers we tried Prawns Koliwada and Pomfret fry, both of them were fresh and tasty. Prawns koliwada was served with green pudina chutney and was in good quantity. Pomfret fry was fresh and cooked well. In main course we tried thier Bangda Fry Thali, and Surmai Fry Thali , one fresh bangda fried served along with Tandalachi bhakri, sukha jaawla, onion, fish curry and sol kadhi and small bowl of rice. Surmai thali comprised of one big slice of surmai, onion, sukha jaawla, bhakri, sol kadhi, fish curry and rice. It was just perfect and scrumptious. One of best sol kadhi ever drank.

Best Restaurant in Thane for authentic seafood. I had ordered Bombil Stuffed with Prawns, Surmai Thali, Prawns Masala Thali and Chicken Cafreal Thali. All the thalis were great with proper authentic seafood taste. Chicken Cafreal Thali was not as we get in Goa but still it was tasty. The bombil stuffing was just awesome. Also the ambience is prefect for family lunch/dinner. The service is prompt.There is one issue of parking here. Although the restaurant is located on service road, you might face a parking issue since many vehicles are already parked on both sides of the road.

Tried Prawns masala thali with puri, jawla chutney, rice, salad, kokam-coconut chutney, and solkadhi 🤤🤯 Prawns masala, kokam-coconut chutney and solkadhi were no doubt my favs among everything... puris were served on the name of wade which was the disappointing part.. 😑

Ordered a Mutton Masala Thali from Nav Gomantak who are famous for their Malvani and Konkani Cuisine. It came with 2 Chapatis, Plain Rice, Mutton Gravy, Sol Kadhi & Chutney. <br/><br/>The Mutton Gravy was very tasty and made in a well prepared masala. The quantity was good. Pieces of mutton were fresh and melting in the mouth. The Chapatis were soft and went down easily. The Rice and Sol Kadhi were also nice. A very enjoyable meal overall.

This Non-Veg restaurant is the best at Panch Pakhadi Thane(W). Had this Delicious Non-Veg items with full of taste & satisfying heart. Best presentation with perfect taste. Good Ambience & Staff Service here. A must visit restaurant for Non-Veg Lovers, especially Malvani.

Worst food I had in a ver long time. The taste was pathetic. I had ordered chicken masala fry and mutton masala fry. The taste was horrible and there were hardly any mutton or chicken in the dishes. I don't know how the restaurant has such high ratings. Family dinner was ruined. The food was stale and I am worried someone is going to fall sick. 1400 barbaad. Please do yourself a favour and don't order food from here and save your money. The king of bad food in Thane. In the name of authentic food I was served with coconut sprinkled over bones.

Yesterday visited nav gomantak we ordered surmal thali in that surmai had no taste at all it was not fresh and low on spice or taste then crab masala thali it was more pathetic masala made was good but the crab had no taste no juice in it and the fish curry was way too much sour then we even ordered bheja fry the portion size you can see in the pic it was not sufficient to a baby also we ended with a lot of dissatisfaction from the place no again visit for sure

The 5 Star review only and only is for the food served! People who are tired of typical Malvani style food should definitely give this place a shot. I've eaten at the restaurant and ordered in at home atleast 15 times since it opened and not once has the food disappointed me. Also, they have wine and beer options which definitely is an added plus point. <br/>Having said that, the place does have its shortcomings. 1. Delivery range for Swiggy and Zomato is small. 2. No reservation system. There have been times when I've waited with family for 1.5 hrs for a table (major negative!) 3. The table, the serving mats could be kept much more cleaner. Remember it's a fast moving fish joint. Nobody likes to sit at a table which has remnants of the previous customers orders 😷 <br/>But again, the food makes up for it :)

Ek numberrch..Best typical maharashtrian food I ever tasted. They decorated their restaurant in a very beautiful way it felt like I was sitting in a typical village house. And add on to that they have kept all the accessories glasses and plates in old manner made up of steel and brass..it made me missed my village. Recently visited this place considering the great reviews it had for serving amazing seafood.<br/>The overall ambiance, interiors and theme are good.<br/>However, we found nothing extraordinary about the food served except for the tasty solkadhi and bhajani wade.<br/><br/>1. Bharela pomfret with chutney:  Chutney was filled only on one side of the pomfret and the other side was totally bland.<br/>2. Kolambi Masala Thali: Prawns was under-cooked. Seemed separately steamed and added to the curry. We also informed the staff and even the replaced dish had no improvement.<br/>3. Surmai Fry Thali: Taste was good and as normal as you would get in any other seafood restaurant.<br/><br/>Being a seafood lover the food overall failed to impress.<br/>Hope you guys improve on the points.

Nav gomantak doesn't make chapatis and bhakris in house. They order in bulk quantity and then reheat and serve them. I had to get bhakris reheated 2 times. I don't expect this from Chef Parag, as he has 3 places of his own now.<br/>Please I request you to hire someone for the reason mentioned above.<br/>Your food is finger licking good, but the main thing to have it is the bread and it definitely matters.

The manager wasn't communicating with us properly, we were a group of 7 and were denied a comfortable seating. If there's a policy about having all diners come in and then give a seating, they shouldn't have let us in. The table mats were unclean, water wasn't served.

This place is located in Panch pakhadi near from from thane station around 20-25 mins maximum .<br/><br/>So we tried here ,<br/>guava merry (Mocktail) : basically it's a guava base drink very refreshing and freshly made . taste was sweet and little bit spicy .<br/><br/>Bharlela pomfret (staters) : perfectly fried pomfret with stuffed prawns texture was juicy inside crispy outside . When you eat this all flavors flows in your mouth and you get amazing experience .<br/>(highly recommended 👍👍👍👍)<br/><br/>Chicken cafreal thali (mains) : it includes chicken cafreal , rassa , Bhakri , coconut chutney and Sol kadi . Totally worth to have this thali and chicken cafreal was coriander based chicken including gravy of onion , bit of tomato and all spices .<br/><br/>Gulacha kharavs (dessert) : this is made my day perfect flavour of jagerry and not to sweet . Balance between jagerry flavour and sweetness was great .<br/><br/>Ambience of place was really great with some good malvani songs . Staff was very prompt and helpful. Recently I went to Nav Gomantak with my friend. It was such a wonderful experience. They have theme as small home in village. This place is specially best for SeaFood lover. We had mock-tail and it was so refreshing and then tried starter and thali. I've heard a lot about this restaurant since it started in Thane, mainly for the seafood dishes. I got to experience it a day ago. Located on the service road of the Eastern Express Highway, this place has easy accessibility to Thane Railway Station. Nav Gomantak is a very nice place for goan food or coastal food lovers. Had variety of seafood from surmai, stuffed pomfret, prons koliwada, stuffed bombil fry. Also had mutton and chicken thalis with javla as side and vada. Vada was not that great but got compensated with the other. Chicken need more flesh pieces than bones. Drinks were going good with the spice. Surmai was fresh and tasty. And to end the hogging session we had kharvas and it reminded me the one which my grandma used to make. Made a family visit to this place. There is definitely some waiting during weekends, so plan to be there accordingly. The place serves beer and other mocktails to start with. The kokum Sar was unique but a bit too sour and a definite must try for those who love sour. The star dishes were Prawns Rawa Fry, Bombil Rawa Fry and Chicken Sukkha (Thali). Kharwas is a dessert that deserves to be ordered. And Sol kadi needs to be ordered to wash it all down.<br/><br/>Parking isn't a problem and the restroom is quite useable. The service is prompt and warm. Definitely recommended seafood haven in Thane district.

Went to this place after searching a lot of malwani restaurants. Had a lot of expectations but it was destroyed after tasting one after another dish.The prawns koliwada was dipped in oil with no taste .The khaleji sukka seems to be raw with blood taste still there .No dish did blend in with the malwani masala and felt everything was raw.I understand you guys have a good rating and reviews but then don't compromise on the quality and the taste The good part was the ambience and te staff but then if the food is not great that does not seem to be a plus point .Hope you guys ensure that your food taste is revamped and keep the magic alive of the Malvan food.

Visited with my family recently , heard about this place a lot , being maharashtrian we know about authenticity of cuisine but turned out disappointing.<br/>We ordered for :-<br/><br/>Prawns fry - prawns were not fresh at all , very chewy and no flavours what so ever .<br/>‘Batataycha kaap’ - very thin slices of potato’s were used hence it was all burnt .<br/>Squid fry - squid also were not fresh and were rubbery .<br/>All staters were rava fry , so technically it should be cooked on tava (griddle pan) but all were deep fried which resulted in absorbing too much oil and ( rava ) coating used in all starters was same hence same taste in all preparation.<br/>We ordered for 5 different thalis <br/>Surmai :- unable to break fish by fingers , need to use both hands to break (fish used was too old ) <br/>Chicken:- chicken was uncooked <br/>Pomfret:- pomfret was fresh but masala was bland<br/>Rawas :- rawas was very smelly and dry and cold (as directly removed from refrigerator and fried) <br/>Zhoonka bhakri- even asking twice for thecha (which is suppose to be in thali as per menu ) was not served till end .<br/>Disappointing experience over all .<br/>All the best !!!

This place is just besides one of our sites. I visited this place for lunch as a stop over with a colleague. Had been to Highway Gomantak, Bandra this place seemed like fancier version. But the food was authentic, fresh and delicious. They were playing goan music, staff were wearing goan floral shirts. The various fish thali is must go for.. Please Don't leave this place without having the sol kadi.. Pomfret tawa fry was yummiest.. A must try place. 5😁😁😁😁😁 A must visit

Visited this place last night to have some of the amazing seafood here. A friend of mine recommended me to come here and try the seafood out. So Nav Gomantak is a multi cusine sea food restaurant owned by Chef. Parag, who has immense love for Goan food . He wants to serve people with authentic food with a twist .<br/>The ambience is really soothing. A perfect way to start a meal.<br/><br/>🔷Garden cooler:-<br/><br/>Garden cooler was something different in taste it wasn't really sweet beause it had kush syrup in it , it was a new experience for us .<br/>🔶Kothimbir vade:-<br/><br/>The presentation of kothimbir vade was top notch , they we're crispy even after 15, 20 mins and tasted really authentic.<br/><br/>🔷Bheja tawa fry:-<br/><br/>A must try starter the taste is way too amazing, also with a dash of lemon over it will really enhance it's taste over , best bheja fry we ever had.<br/><br/>🔶Chicken fry masala :-<br/><br/>This is a perfect appetizer for chicken lover , the costal touch given to it by adding coconut really makes it authentic and taste so perfect.<br/><br/>🔷Mutton sukha thali:-<br/><br/>This had mutton sukha masala one gravy and solkadhi . The amount of meat was decent enough. Also the taste was so good one cannot resist to lick their fingers.<br/><br/>🔶Prawns sukha thali:-<br/><br/>It had prawns sukha gravy, and normal gravy and solkadhi also it came with option of chapati/ bhakri / vade.The masala gravy was really so good and went well with chapati. The normal gravy went well with rice . A must try dish for prawns lovers.<br/><br/>And for dessert we had gulab jamun . I personally like seafood alot,so planned to visit this place,which is located in thane and is famous for seafood<br/><br/>They had many options in seafood.I ordered tawa fish fry the piece was very big and fresh then prawns fry and seashells which i had with bhakri,i also ordered solkadi-(made from coconut milk)<br/>Wanted to try something new so ordered bheja fry which was surprisingly great.<br/>Ended my lunch with kharvas(dessert)<br/><br/>Food-5/5<br/>Ambience-4.5/5<br/>Service-5/5

Ambience and staff are really nice.<br/>Here we had garden cooler and french kiss for the drinks. French kuss was refreshing and garden cooler had the great,taste of khus syrup. In starters we ordered kothimbir vade, chicken fry masala, bheja tawa fry and in main course we had prawns thali and mutton thali. Quantity of thali is really nice and taste is amazing too!!❤❤

Very rude behavior of the attendant who stands out side the hotel and manage people who are waiting outside. We didn't enter the restaurant because of his rude and arrogant behavior and were moved out for which he was least interested to call us back also.
