Royal challenge II ... 👍 One of the best and oldest fine dine restaurant bar which is located at Eastern express Highway, Panch pakhdi Thane West. It is one of the royal place to which I recently come across. Ambience of this place is royal and huge. Celing and walls are very well decorated which gives a great look to this place. Talking about seating arrangement is very managed and organised in respect of couples, group of friends and families. They have perfect and attractive combination of wooden tables and comfortable wooden chairs and sofas to seat. Talking about staff... Staff are very experienced and professional and services given by them are quick. Thanks to Royal Challenge II management to taking care of us and helped us to choose delicious dish during the visit. Food was delicious and mouthwatering. Food presentation was attractive. I found here food and drink menu vast. We've Tried here: 🍸 Cocktail: ✓ Love on the beach (Recommended) : This was vodka and orange juice based cocktail which was very refreshing. As a first word of this drink name.. Love this drink... ✓ An evening in RC (Recommended): This was one of the Special and Recommended drink from here which almost tasted like LIIT. ✓ Black Stochman (Highly Recommended) : This was one of the best drink which I tried in life. Personally I liked it very much. ✓Plant Puch (Recommended): This was very good in taste. My friend liked it very much. Go for this also. 🍝 Staters: ✓ Chicken Sathe Recommended) : This was delicious dish. Very well made.. and presentation was good. ✓Crispy Potato Hot Garlic (Highly Recommended): This was taste like chi. Crispy. Vegetarian Go for this dish. So yummy... ✓Banjara Kebeb (Highly Recommended): Chicken kebab which marinated with soya paste and Indian spices. Liked it very much... ✓ Pomfret Rawa Fry (Recommended) : I like pomfret very much. So fish admier go for this.. 🍛 Main Course: ✓ Paneer Dilruba with reshmi paratha (Recommended): Tastes really good with paratha. Delicious paneer dish. 🍧 Dessert: ✓Gulab Jamun Overall my experience at Royal Challenge II was great. Like food, ambiance and service.. Highly Recommended this place!!!

Very courteous staff,dressed well,amazing kebabs and chinese starters the best in chicken is malai,pahadi,kasoorimethi chicken, in fish u have to try the bombil fry and surmai,the best and 100% excellent in veg is a mushroom schezwan with cheese filling, main course best is butter chicken ,dal tadka, dal khichdi, any paneer dish, liquor is decently priced and some superb cocktails the best is the sheesha lounge called force.

It has a huge seating space available with loyal staff for over years and yes obvly lip smacking food Food: Malaysian Kebab: huge chunks of chicken marinated with loads of butter and spices is something you must have Prawns tawa fry: deliciously garnished and marinated pieces of prawns though a bit small is delicious Pomphret Rawa fry: the fish was cooked well with proper addons to enhance its taste. Do try if you are an ardent sea food lover Chicken satay: juicy chicken chunks marinated with shezwan sauce js a bit spicy but tastes good Chicken rara masala and Machhli Goan curry : both the main course vegetables were unique with their taste. Goan currh with appropriate use of coconut was heaven. Rara masala do try kn mutton. Thats their best selling Rabdi with kulfi: soothing as usual Drinks: love on the beach, long ice land, black scotchman and planter's punch: famous for drinks and food, they have some nice variety of cocktails too. All were presented well and was strong enough to make you drool Ambience is pretty cool with soft music playing. The staff here is awesome. Mr. Rakesh assisted us with the selection of dishes and drinks. Do dine in here with one of the constants in Thane. 😊

This is easily accessible place which is located near Korrum mall. It's one of old restaurant in Thane and well known for Nonvej food. Place has decent ambience with silent music which enhanced your mood. Royal sizzler mocktail - which is fresh & creamy, well blended with Icecream In starter we had chicken 65 & Murgh kabab both are delicious , properly Cooke & well marinated. For sea food lover Crunchy prawns koliwada is recommended. In main course must try Royal Special Sabji ( combination of different veggie which served with red and green gravy Finally in dessert we had kulfi with Rubdi - it's amazing combination and very tasty. Overall we had great experienced of delicious dishes, well decorated interior and prompt service.✌️✌️

Royal challenge bar is a great restaurant with great food. Comes under fine dine and is located at service road next to korum . The dishes were very good . We had Chicken lahori and naan for mains. Too good the gravy and no color added . Gravy was red in color . Chicken pieces were minced and adequate. Properly cooled meal . For starters we had , prawns rava fry . This was so simple and epic . Love the taste . Chicken kebab in green sauce. Something extra ordinary and taste sexy . Malaysian kebab :- Tender chicken breast pieces tossed in sauces and great presentation. Chicken Kasturi kebab. Mind blowing taste . We were greeted by Mr Rakesh. He is the head manager and go for his choices over the food.

Royal challenge II is one of the oldest restaurant located near Korum mall in Thane. Restaurant have good relaxed ambience just like 90's. They have different types of seating arrangements. Staff was courteous and service was prompt. Things we tried : 💠 Mocktails : 1. Pink Panther 2. Fruit Punch Both the mocktails were refreshing and tasted good. My personal favorite was fruit punch. 💠 Starters : 1. Methi corn tikki - Methi corn tikki was delicious combination of corn and fenugreek leaves. taste delightful with mint chutney. 2. Veg Crispy - It was crispy, tangy and delicious. Had goodness of vegetables & indo-chinese sauce. 💠 Mains : 1. Paneer Ludhiana -fresh paneer cube cooked in creamy, mildly tangy gravy tasted good with butter naan. 2. Sabzi Kolhapuri - mixed vegetables cooked in thick and spicy gravy tasted delicious. 3. Jeera rice & Dal tadka - piping hot jeera rice and dal tadka was simple and comfort food. 💠 Desserts : Royal Sundae : It was the perfect dessert to finish off a delicious dinner. Overall a not-so-expensive place with decent ambience and soft music played in the background, it's a perfect place to dine in with family and friends.

Not very heavy on the pocket, this restaurant serves the best Indian food in Thane .It is a multi-cuisine restaurant specializing in Indian cuisine. It has got the following review from a Zomato user: ‘Worth visiting place…. Good food. Both their Chinese and Indian cuisines are lovely, but I found them slightly expensive. Good ambience and fast service. They have been there for some time now. Can't miss them beside the Eastern Express Highway.

The highlight of the restaurant is quality of the staff, if some one restaurant you wana see with perfect service quality this is the one. We visited there for quick bite and drinks and in short while we ordered food was not upto mark the staff didnt even took second to accept feedback and replace the order. Food and place are average.

I stay near the place and have been patronizing it for about 7 years. Yes! The ambiance is pleasing and soft. Afternoon lunches with a family group are great. They are "aged friendly" i.e. very accomodating to aged and infirm people. As far as the evening crowd goes it can tend to get a little bit noise on the weekends. On weekdays it is yet soft and one can hold a conversation without having to scream.<br/><br/>Service: Friendly. Sport a smile and you'll see it reciprocated. The staff is very very helpful especially towards the aged who can tend to get finicky with their needs. But all met with a smile.<br/><br/>Food: A must-have is the Chicken Pahadi Kebab. Its soft, succulent and a favorite of us all. The prawns are not all that great in size. Whats kingsize for them is "What? Where?" for you. And I've had it around 3 or 4 times. Koliwada dishes ain't that great. You'd be safer sticking to the tandoor items.<br/><br/>Drinks: Don't expect hi-funda brands. Mainline stuff, beer and hard, all available.<br/><br/>Crowd: Sometimes you will come across the odd patron who is garrulous. Mostly, you won't. the ambiance itself encourages and promotes quiet conversations. it is the odd boor who doesn't recognize the surroundings that will talk loud and make a nuisance of himself. Generally, Royal Challenge is frequented by the senior mgmt types in the day time(a group even) and by small business group types in the evenings. On a weekend you'll find it populated by families.and hence perhaps a bit noisy.<br/><br/>Oh yes, they don't do takeaways. But if you smile and ensure them a big order then they will xerox their menu and welcome a call from you! (Voice of experience!)

Service is very slow,slower than tortoise. Food taste is not bad. Wanted to try seafood but it was extremely expensive so had chicken.pls think about the price as your restaurant has slow service and it makes patron furious. Will you pay 500 or 700 for a dish that comes on your table after ages .However taste of food is good no complains.

Go with your friends and family and enjoy the food and ambience. Personally I love the non-veg. Main course and desert is also too good. They have really nice menu. I want to taste each and every dish. Definitely I will go very soon.<br/>The staff is well behaved. They also take care of your kids.<br/>Must visit.

Had a casual dining with friends. We all were very hungry after tedious day of outing. We requested to staff to serve us quickly. And to our surprise they served the food without loosing time. We ordered Gosht Roganjosh with tandoori roti. Aroma of Gosht was really good. Perfect blend of masalas. And roti was served hot on table

Service is extremely poor and staff is very rude and unfriendly. Don’t waste money here its too costly..

All the dishes took too long to be served.<br/><br/>Chicken shorba was decent.<br/><br/>Reshmi kabab was uncooked so they agreed to replace it, it was decent the 2nd time, not all that juicy though.<br/><br/>The pepper flavoured lobster preparation for the day was spicy and soft enough.<br/><br/>The chicken Lahori didn't feel much different from a usual red gravy chicken dish to me, few others liked it.<br/><br/>Naan was fine, not chewy, no excessive butter, just enough. Missi roti was good.<br/><br/>Oriental chicken sizzler - was plated up differently & not so pleasing aesthetically. The rice was weird - soggy and felt like it was old. Couldn't eat it. The manager said it was different being an Oriental sizzler & so he wasn't suggesting it when we initially asked about it.<br/><br/>Felt the prices weren't justified given the taste and wait time. Was looking forward to a good Sunday meal and it was a let down, didn't dare to order a dessert after. Portion size was decent.<br/><br/>

Ambiance gives me really a great feeling of being really a royal one.<br/>Staff are friendly if we can say they are royal staff<br/>Starting with Buttermilk<br/>Soup- Palak ka shorba.<br/>Starter- Mutton shammi kabab<br/>Jhinga khadai.<br/>Roti- Garlic naan the combination of Methi machhli.<br/>Main course- Kashmiri pulao with the combination of nimbu hari mirch ka murgh, mushroom Palak kofta.<br/>Dessert- Kulfi with Rabdi<br/>Ended well all thanks to the kitchen staff and floor staff and manager for making the evening wonderful. . . .<br/><br/>💫💫💫💫💫 5 star<br/>

We had Chinese food and it was palatable for sure.<br/>Dishes had good amount of chicken and prawns and portion size was good ,which didn't disappoint us.<br/><br/>Must mention server Babu was really good and he made sure dishes were made as per our customisation.

This has been one of the long standing restaurants in Thane for manh years. My recent visit after years told me 2 things: ambience hasnt changed which means its not upgraded and food hasnt changed which means great cuz food was never an issue here. We had chicken shorba, paneer chilly, pomfret tikka and mutton roganjosh, all were winners! Service is great too, if only they upgrade their ambience they will be right up! Worth a visit for sure

This Restaurant is situated in Thane near Koran Mall on the service road and can easily be reached. Though there is no Valet Parking there is not an issue to park the Car even.<br/>The food served is really delicious like Veg Clear Soup, Chana Chat, Paneer, Fresh Orange Juice and lastly had Vegetable Biryani with Pineapple Raita. <br/>Me and my friend really loved the Biryani & Starters and were so full after having it that couldn’t have any Desserts. <br/>The overall ambience is cool with instrumentals playing in the background.<br/>If you are at leisure and have come to enjoy you will love the Restaurant & it’s ambience.<br/>

I wandered in with four friends on a tuesday afternoon , and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and incredible aroma of foods. This is easily accessible place which is located near Korrum mall. It's one of old restaurant in Thane and well known for Nonvej food. Place has decent ambience with silent music which enhanced your mood. <br/><br/>Royal sizzler mocktail - which is fresh & creamy, well blended with Icecream<br/><br/>In starter we had chicken 65 & Murgh kabab both are delicious , properly Cooke & well marinated. It had a cheese filling compared to how other restaurants serve on top.<br/><br/>DESSERTS<br/>Royal Sundae<br/>This dish comes with 2 scoops of ice cream, two in one and chocolate, dry fruits and 2 long slices of jelly. Although the jelly went well with the two in one, but the chocolate and jelly combination wasn't good. This dish could be improved.<br/><br/>Kulfi with rabdi<br/>Tasted absolutely amazing! Was the highlight and who doesn't enjoy t@he combination of rabdi and kulfi.<br/><br/>FINAL VERDICT:<br/>The service is very prompt and fast and the food is delicious. Improvements can be made to some dishes though and portion too. But overall, one of the good places to have a meal in Thane.

Royal Challange is one of the oldest restaurants in the panchpakhadi thane. It has a great old style interior. You can have a great time along with great food and drink. Food and drink were up to the mark as I have heard before. This is a very old place and i did visit it earlier many times. Their indian and chinese food is amazing here. Started off my lunch with panner satay and veg tandoori platter. Panner satay was too good and perfect spicyness. Even the tandoori platter was too good specially tandoori aloo and seekh kebab. I even had the mojito, it was okay, like good but there should be more consistency of sprit and mint. In maine i had, veg lahori and panner tikka masala along with raita, butter kulcha and garlic butter nan. Naan and kulchas were soft and even the sabzis were mad delicious. Much heaven was their sizzling brownie, specially the brownie was too soft and tasty.

One of the oldest and the best fine dines in Thane. Extremely courteous and friendly staff who know the menu in and out. Most of the dishes ordered were recommended by our captain. They serve really cool cocktails which are made to perfection and open to customisation. Their speciality is their sea food - surmai fry , prawns Koliwada and ravas tilkka in starters and butter chicken in main course.Even the other starters like lamb chilly , chicken Malaysian kabab , chicken Dilkush kabab were mouth watering.A very fulfilling dining experience would surely visit this place again!!!

Royal Challenge II is a very good place for people to have food. Their ambience is very good and the staff is also good. It was the staff which helped us to have an amazing time over tasting the food items. For starters i had the Paneer Koliwada along with Manchow soup which was good<br/>For mocktails , I had Virgin mohito as its always a good combination with the starters. Also Murgh Kathi Roll which is a starter is also good. Now for the maincourse I had the Paneer Tikka Masala which is recommended. For desserts we had sizzling brownie with ice cream. Overall the place is very good. This was one of the first fine dine restaurant that Thane city had got back in the days almost 22 to 23 years back. It was the favourite upmarket place at that time to visit where most elite class of the city were seen.<br/><br/>LOCATION and AMBIENCE<br/>located at one of the prime place of the Thane city besides the korum mall now. This place was a landmark in itself.<br/><br/>Ambience has a truly retro touch with wooden furniture and couches and truly 90's touch to the place. They have a small banquet hall also where one can host small gatherings. Soft instrumentals of old songs are played in background. It totally gave a feel that yes we were dining in 90's decade which was a feeling in itself.<br/><br/>STAFF AND SERVICE<br/>Is something to mention as they have one of the very loyal staff working here with average tenure of around 10 years. Our captain Mr RAJ was also working here since 2008. The CHICKEN 65 in particular was good.<br/><br/>On a concluding note menu is something i felt lost in time as the food trends have evolved drastically in last decade. I wish this legendary restaurant adopt some progressive cuisine. Despite of this fact the restaurant enjoys the loyal patronage from the old-timers of the city.

The name and the places exterior will give u a glimpse of a bar but it's a good and big resturant. The ambience is good and they serve acohol as well. For starters there was a dish shredded chicken in green garvy dish which was the best but I actually don't remember the exact name, also the rest of the items in main course and biryani were delicious. Mocktails weren't that good so would like to avoid it. The service was ok and the taste of food along with quantity was good. Overall I really liked the place and would like to recommend it, also it's close by korum mall so reaching there won't be hard as well. Overall ambience 3 taste 4 sevice 3 value for money 4

Not very heavy on the pocket, this restaurant serves the best Indian food in Thane .It is a multi-cuisine restaurant specializing in Indian cuisine. I have been coming to this restaurant for like 20 years. Right from the time they used to serve Thali till today.<br/><br/>The ambience is perfect for a fine dining restaurant. With a large variety of veg and non veg dishes you will definitely have a good experience.<br/><br/>Staff is polite and friendly and the service is fast.<br/><br/>To summarise this restaurant is my 2nd kitchen.

I have been here many a times its a good place with peace and ease food qualities are maintained and it totally goes with its ambience around it. It has maintained its standards along with its royalness.👌

This was our second visit here. First time experience was good but for second time it was a huge mistake. We had ordered paneer tikka masala. Paneer was stale really. How can they provide such type of food to customers. Also dal tadka lacked salt. A big disappointment. Main issue was there waiters. Few waiters were showing bad tantrums. We had to call them 10 times for table cloth or napkins. Also ac was not working. I guess they don’t want customers.

The Zomato treats dessert was not delivered as expected by treats members!!<br/>

Both the fried rice were disappointing. Rest all things were nice.

Ambience 5/5 : The entry to the restaurant is fairly grand and the seating is quite spacious as well. Full marks for the ambience.<br/>Service 4/5: The service here seemed experienced, they weren't overly excited as some buffets have but nonetheless polite. Serving time was a bit on the slower side, even though the restaurant was about half occupied.<br/>Food 4.5/5 : The seafood at this place was perfect. We ordered Surmai Fry, Ravas Fry and Prawns kadhai and all the three dishes were rich in flavour.<br/>The Murg pahadi kebab was more of a hit and miss with some extremely tender parts and some parts being chewy. If you are thinking of having a business meet in Royal Challenge (RC), AVOID..Repeat AVOID.<br/>On Holi Day, that is yesterday, had an important client meeting over drinks and dinner, the waiter simply asked us to move out saying that there are people waiting.  There were no people waiting and the waiters hover your table like vultures waiting for you to just move. The wait was also not long after we finished our dinner but still it was RUDE. RC over the period of time instead of competing with other joints has decreased the portion even though the ambience is good. I lost an important deal as my client was totally pissed off

Timely delivery. Chicken biryani is good  quantity is good  paneer chilly is not value for money it has capsicum pieces and gravy is watery vegetarian and aged people will not like it

It states its a fine dine, looks like one, but you are not treated like one. The food is great, and so are the cocktails. The ambience is very nice. Service should be improved. Its slow and the servers are not polite, they just want you to finish your meal and leave.

One of the oldest and reputed restaurants in Thane. I have been visiting this place regularly every since I was 13.. the taste hasn't even changed a bit from then. Methi Mutter Malai is a treat for vegetarian people. Kheema naan is simply amazing. Great place to go with your family and treat your tastebuds.

No doubt the food is great! But the lead waiter doesn't understand politeness at all. They are mannerless, just opening door and saluting when customer enters is not sufficient, you have to speak in a proper language to them. I hope you management understand that. Be professional or there ante many better players.. and without alcohol no ones gonna bother to come back you this doesn't change.

One of the oldest restaurants in Thane. Multi cuisine Punjabi, Chinese, Thai... The punjabi dishes are lip-smacking & quality and quantity of food is absolutely good. I have cut a few points as they are tad over priced & service is a bit slow. They have put up a huge projector for IPL viewing & offering complimentary desserts currently.

The food taste and quality both are not worth it. Ordered chicken chilly and pomfret.. the chicken is hard and pomfret was too costly for the taste and the serving.. I don't recommend this restaurant for anyone..

Prrfect place to visit with your family but if u r comforatble with Veg and Non veg along with alcohol. Come have the yummy food served with the Drink you like and there would be no complaints to be made

The food was below average. The sweet corn soup was just too thick and didn't have any flavours. The hara bhara kebab was the only thing edible.<br/><br/>The Tandoori roti served was burnt literally burnt. We ordered for a Mix veg. handi and it was just a some vegetables mixed in a red gravy. Nothing extra ordinary. The service too was slow, we were just waiting for a waiter to place the order for atleast 15-20 mins.<br/><br/>This place really needs to improve their food quality.

Worst food(too spicy) and zero cleanliness. Over priced, sofas and chairs were not clean at all, we asked the manager for the description of chicken Malaysian kebab and told us "it's just normal kebeb" then waiter described us.

Went to this place for dinner as it was on the way back home!<br/>Ordered tomato soup and manchow soup. Tomato soup was really sweet and manchow extremely spicy.<br/>For starters we had veg makhmali tikka. It was ok and mostly could taste potato only.<br/>For mains we had veg handi and rotis. Again this was ok. Nothing great to talk about. Only saviour was dal khichadi. <br/>The service was Really slow. Had to wait 30 mins for our mains after the plates were placed on the table. We had to repeatedly ask for water to be served.<br/>It is always a bit expensive for the portions they serve.

One of the few fine dining places. Soft mild instrumental music and fine service of this place was a winner for my family dinner. When I think about it I missed such kind of places in this new age of restro pubs and casual restaurants.<br/><br/>The food served was delicious. I tried different kebabs and each was mouth watering. I just tried non vegetarian food. The mocktail were classic and refreshing. The food was below average with high price. We got the home delivery of tawa subzi, roti, naam, and roomali roti. None of the items was tasty and the order price was 540 which was ridiculous for the quality of quantity they serve

Any place which stocks Heineken automatically comes into my fav list. This place is a family resto bar with no loud music, bright ambience and really good food. The staff is well behaved. I don't remember the names of items we ordered ( i dint place the order ) but chicken starter and the main course were both top notch. Prawn starter was spicy, just as i'd like it to be, but they couldn't get rid of the smell. Garlic naan was nice and soft. Prices are like what any fine dine place would charge. Wont mind going again.

It was a grand party with friends at this awesome place on service road next to Eastern express highway in thane. This is a branch of Royal Challenge in Goregaon behind oberoi mall. A place with lot of parking and great ambience. A good place to nurse your drinks with friends. Most of the staff are bong and food is punjabi. We had fish and chicken and lots of drinks. A group of over 8 people, we had awesome time. Nice verandah to sit and enjoy your smoke too. Desserts are lovely. Service is quick and courteous. The place was crowded even after 11 o'clock. The crowd was mainly family and regulars... Worth repeat.

This is one of the recommended place for fine dining in thane. Atmosphere, sitting arrangement, food, staff knowledge everything is upto the mark.

I had a very bad experience last night. It was like having nothing and I had to shed out 4250. Starters were good but, the main course was too bad....and the place is not hygeinic as well. There wer mosquitoes all around. I do not recommend this place. It was my first and last.

Very good place for planning family lunch and dinner. Ambience is soothing, neat and clean. Food quality is very good. Especially pompret tawa fry is awesome. You can also try murg mussalam which is good in both quality and quantity. I am sure once you visit this place, you would like to go this place again and again. Hotel staff is also helpful.

Situated in very close proximity to korum mall and a very old restro in place. Very good for family time meals. Service is good. Neat, clean and a soothing ambience. Had tried dal khichdi, masala papad n masala chaas... Food to nurture ur taste buds :)

My absolute go to place for a nice family dinner. Been going here for as long as I can remember and am yet to be disappointed. It serves really good Indian and mughlai food. The kebabs are amazing....lots of ghee and butter slathered on! The chicken curries also really good...has everything a good mughlai dish should have. Even the Chinese food is worth a try. Basically what I'm trying to say is overall food is amazing and no matter what you order you will definitely love it!
