*** D'Two States *** A love story of two people coming from a different culture, different background & different cuisine coming together to build their own happy world resulting in a wonderful restaurant known as "D'Two States". This restaurant serves Maharashtrian and Punjabi dishes with keeping the quality top notch. This beautiful place located in a prime location of manpada, thane west is easy to notice. The ambiance of this restaurant is amazing I was totally impressed by it. Would love to share the food & drink I had 📌Sol Kadhi A typical drink originating from the Indian subcontinent. Made from coconut milk and kokum. This drink is high in antioxidants. Popularly known for it's digestive and cleansing properties. The base mix is spiced with local spices which adds up to the taste. 📌Spicy Guava Spicy and Sweetness both together give an amazing taste, the rich texture of guava is just amazing with spicy powder at the tip of the glass. 📌Lasooni kebab Tandoori style kebab, well maintained in garlic paste gives it a strong flavor of garlic. It was perfectly marinated in spices and mild flavor of garlic. We actually had a taste of masala in every bite. The chicken was super soft. 📌Chargba murgh Chicken Pieces marinated into their special hometown masala which had a yummy taste. This was the best dish I ever had till now. Staff is dressed in Punjabi style attire and is prompt in serving you well. The owner herself interacts with you and makes sure you have a memorable experience. Overall I loved the food. A perfect homemade like food is hard to find. I would love to visit again.

There is a beautiful story behind opening this restaurant and the concept does total justice to that story. So this restaurant is owned by a couple so in love. It is truly a beautiful combination of the two states - Maharashtra and Punjab. It is seen in their ambience, interiors, service, hospitality and the authentic food. The owner while practicing psychology realized that people open up when you feed them good food and I couldn't agree more. One side of the restaurant is inspired by Maharashtrian tradition with the phulkari and the other side by the Punjabi tradition with the petha. They have painted the stair walls beautifully which depicts these two cultures. The ambience is welcoming and the interiors do total justice to the concept. In the background you get to hear pleasant traditional music. The staff is very courteous and helpful. They suggest the best of the dishes as per your preference. The best part is that all of them always have a beautiful smile on their faces. Mr. Suraj and Yash are real sweethearts and so is every person of the staff. They took good care of us and made us feel at home. Thank you for your hospitality. Moving to food, we called for the below: 1. Goda kolambi fry 2. Jhinga Amritsari 3. Surmai Amritsari 4. Suya Kebab 5. Chargha Murgh 6. Kothimbir Wadi 7. Kheema pattice 8. Dahi ke kebab Mocktails: 9. Kokam Lemonade 10. Paan Mojito Desserts: 11. Phirni 12. Gajar halwa 13. Kharwas P.S. All of the items above taste splendid and are a 'MUST TRY'. You will be left craving for more. The fish and chicken are perfectly cooked and the spices used are tantalizing to your taste buds. One just cant get enough of it. P.P.S. This is my new favorite place for the love of sea food and chicken. I highly recommend this place and would definitely keep visiting.

Located in a new prime location ; It's a place with good ambience. The sitting arrangements are comfortable and you would be able to spend nice time with your family and friends. The food and service is also good. The dishes they serve are limited but sometimes less is good. And also they have few unique dishes, Must try Surya kebab(chicken stuffed with mushroom, corn, capsicum).

As the name pops up, we definitely can get an idea that this could probably a mix of two cultures which is true and that’s of Punjabi cuisine and Maharashtrain cuisine. Now, what makes this different is bringing the two different cuisines altogether and serving it with an amazing ambience! Well, talking about the staff, they do know how to co ordinate and will suggest you with the best dishes. We tried both marathi and punjabi dishes. Kumbh tandoori, ladooni kabab, kothimbir vadi, shikampuri kabab, paneer tikka, chargha murgh which was in starters and were absolutely amazing. For the main course we had jeera rice, assorted rotis with gaavran chicken and kadai paneer! For the desserts, we had gulab jamun and jalebiicecream which was unique but very tasty. Also we had some nice mocktails like strawberry peach and mango mojito for our refreshments! Had an amazing time over here!

It is Said dat... When LOVE for FOOD bring people together... it creates WONDERS!! When KURTA-PYJAMA met PAITHANI (Clothing), When BHANGRA met LAAVNI (DANCE), When PHULKARI met WARLI (ART), & finally WHEN LASSI met SOL KADI.... D'TWO STATES happened!! D'TWO STATES is an amalgamation of 2 cultures, & a mix of 2 CUISINE (PUNJABI & MAHARASHTRIAN)... The Owners, JUGNU (Punjabi) & PREETI (Maharashtrian) are a cute couple. Their love for food gave rise to the concept of D'TWO STATES.. Being a Maharashtrian myself... I was aware of the menu as 90% Maharastrian dishes are cooked at my home. I was very excited to try out the same dishes at a restaurant... I visited dis place to experience the Marathi-Punjabi fusion. Started wid some MOCKTAILS!! 🥃🥃🥃NARANGI CAIPIROSKA: Amazing flavors.. completely loved it. A must try ad it will make u feel fresh instantly.. 🍹🍹🍹GAJAR KANJI MOJITO: It lacked the flavor of Gajar n Beet. This ws okayish.. Can be skipped FOOOOOOD!!! 🐟🐠🐠🐟BHARLELE BOMBIL: This one is an Authentic Maharashtrian Prep. I love Bombil fry n itz been made in my house for more than 2 decades now... The only new thng was these were stuffed with minced Prawn. The flavor of Prawns go well with The Bombils and the crunchyness is amazing... The dish was a BOMB!! The bombil is coated in Rice flour n semolina n deep fried. LOVED IT!! 🍖🍗🍖🍗CHARGHA MURGH: A speciality from LAHORE, the CHICKEN is marinated in garam masala n other spices and TANDOORED.. Though looks like Chicken Tandoori, the flavors are much different than the classic chicken tandoori. Also these r tandoored fr a longer time than the classic one and has a lil more Charred flavor. Again.. BOMB of a dish!! The weather outside sometimes affects ur appetite and u eat less.. So aftr a couple of Lovely Appetizers I wanted to try the Mains... Instead, I chose a dish frm Maharashtrian Appetizer section to have it as Mains with the Breads.... 🍜🥣🥘GAVRAN KOMBDI SUKKE (Chicken Sukka desi style) First bite n I was like... Is my Mom in der kitchen... The taste ws so similar that I felt it ws my Mommade dish.. Evry MAHARASHTRIAN can relate the dish to their Mom's cooking... Thick chicken curry dish made in Gaavti style... The authentic Gavran chicken is made over wood fire in villages. The smokey taste that comes is heavenly. Since this appetizer had some masala with it, I went for WADA(Kombdi Wada) & GHAAVNE to have with it. GHAAVNE is like a Dosa but a lil thick and is made from rice flour. We Maharashtrians have it wid Nonveg sometimes or as a Breakfst in the morning along with chutney... Some also prefer to have it with Tea... Finally it ws... DESSERT TIME.... Wanted to try Kharvas as I haven't had it in a long time.. I remmbr mom making it when i was in school... Have very fond memories of this dessert😍😍 This is a Star dessert here & gets Out of Stock quickly... visit for Lunch if u wanna try it... So went for PHIRNI.. the consistency ws good and most importantly.. it had proper sweetness. Lots of ppl make it over sweet which kills the flavor. I wud recommend to try PHIRNI here... HOPE U GOT A BRIEF IDEA OF WAT D 2 STATES HAS TO OFFER.... SO NXT TIME U AROUND GHODBUNDER ROAD, THANE... DON'T FUHGET TO VISIT D'TWO STATES... AS FAR AS THANE PPL R CONCERNED... VISIT ASAP!!

Decent decor, delicious food, good portions. The kitchen is bit slow takes too long prior to serve food. They do charge service fee included in bill which is good hence you don't bother to check for change for tip. The restaurant has full potential to grow but need to workout on pricing to compete with neighbouring Ceremonial Kitchen who are already doing pretty well.

D'Two States is located at Ghodbandar Road and is easily accessible from the main highway. Their ambience and name goes hand in hand. They have maintained the decor in Maharashtrian and Punjabi vogue. This restaurant is owned by a Maharashtrian- Punjabi couple and they have depicted the same. D Two States, as the names states it tale of two different cultures i.e Marathi and Punjabi. The name has no relation with the movie Two States. Here the owner are the couple where the Husband is Punjabi and the wife is Maharashtrian. Ambiance : The place is basically divided into two parts one side for Punjabi decor and other side for Marathi Decor. The sitting arrangements are quite Decent and is good for a big family as well. On one side you will see Punjabi Decor like pagdi swords etc and on other side i.e Marathi you will see Paithani saree and worli paintings Food : Coming to food they have 2 types of cuisine i.e Marathi and Punjabi. They have decent options for both Veg and Non Veg. We were very well assited by the satff regarding what we should order and the history behind the dishes aswell. So we started with mocktails 1) SolKadhi (Highly Recommended) : Well SolKadhi is typical Maharashtrian Drink which is usually accompanied with rice or after the meal. The drink consists of coconut milk and kokam and is a bit spicy 2) Agaltini : It was a refreshing mocktail which basically consisted of kokam sharbat black sakt and pepper. Coming to starters we had 1) Sikhampuri Kebabs ( Highly Recommended) : This dish was one of the perfect dishes I had in recent times. The Kebab was fired to perfection and the potatoes stuffing was amazing to taste. The best part was it had hung curd between the stuffing and it went very well with the stuffing. Full marks for the chef for the perfection in cooking this dish. 2) Achari Paneer Tikka: Panner tikka had amazing flavour and was marinated perfectly. In main course we had 1) Sarso Da Saag (Highly Recommended) : The grain used in the dish were form the recent harvest as its harvested only during winter season. The dish was amazing to taste and we could smell the aroma of pure ghee which was mesmerizing. It was well accompanied with Butter Naan. 2) Murg Musalman : My friends love this dish and the staff told us that the Murg Musalman they serve is the authentic one. It was medium spicy in taste nd wasn't accompanied with the rice. In desert we had 1) Karwas: Well it was okay to taste. The dish can be improved. 2) Chocolate Overload Paan : This is not your typical chocolate paan. It was meetha paan served with chocolate sauce. It was amazing to taste and perfect dish to end your dinner with

D Two States is an authentic fusion of Maharashtra and Punjab serving true flavours of Maharashtrian and Punjabi food under one roof. The outlet is near Manpada and 15-20 minutes away from Thane station. The place decor is also split into two states from middle and the variety of non veg served is just finger licking. The staff is also very polite and humble and the hospitality show by them is recommendable. Tried their Non veg platter consisting of achaari chicken tikka, butter chicken tikka and Murgh Malai Tikka. Each of the bite was so tasty and craving. Also the Dhuadhaar Chicken gravy was so thick & spicy gravy along with butter naan. The place is a treat to dine out with friends and family as well. With an happening environment.

Hello folks!!! Do follow theheavy_eater on instagram D'two states is the fine dine resto with a benevolent motive to delight customers mood with good food. The name has the reason as it consists both Maharashtrian and Punjabi cuisines. Food: We tried a variety of starters in both veg and nveg. In chicken we tried platter of achari chicken tikka, lasooni kebab, and chicken stuffed with minced mutton. The chicken was properly cooked, well marinated and tasted delicious with green chutney served along. In fish we tried patyalache bombil and goda prawns fry. Both of these were crisp cpoked in semolina and tasted delicious. In veg we had kat wada, a must try dish because of its composition and a lingering taste of wada with amazing gravy. Highly recommended one. Main course we tried both punjabi and maharashtrian one. Lahpri murg was tasty and had good chicken pieces with red gravy. Kolambiche hirve kalvan resembles farly to thai curry, but this one was utterly delicious with prawns and green gravy. Highly recommended. In drinks we tried Apricot with vanilla ice cream. Soothing and amazing blend of both the ingredients. In desserts we tried their dishes in the launch pipeline. Fusion ice creams like jalebi ice cream, puranpoli ice cream, ukdiche modak flavoured ice cream and motichur ice cream. You can actually feel the blend and definitly this was the first time I have tried such combination of normal desserts in ice cream. Each has its unique taste and is a must try. Highly Recommended 👌👌 Ambience: The ambience is beautifully crafted which reflects the traditions of both Maharashtra and Punjab. The Warli carvings, modern design and wall art alongside stairs that lead to Dhaba style seating are eye catching and definitely serves the purpose of experential dining Staff: The staff is dressed in punjabi style attire as and is prompt and serves you well. The owner herself interacts with you and makes sure you have a memorable experience. Mr Rajesh assisted us with the selection of dishes. An amazing place to hangout with family, friends and loved ones. Happy dining 😊

The name D' Two States describes itself as a combination of cuisine of the two states. Namely they are Punjabi cuisine from Punjab & Maharashtrian cuisine from Maharashtra. • Ambience - This place has the decor which shows the origin of village type feel of Maharashtra & Punjab with a great interior. They have chair seatings downside the stairs & upside they have sofa seating. But upside seating is a little bit compact. Instead would prefer seating downside. Staff members are very friendly and helpful to choose your menu when you're new here. • They serve Solkadhi as a welcome drink in copper shot glasses. Chilled & taste perfect. Food items I ordered and highly recommended are enlisted below - - Fresh Lime soda - Chilled & refreshing to quench your thirst. - Masala Papad - Upto the mark with adequate toppings of tomato & onions mixed with spices.. A must try. - Tik Wada - Maharashtrian popularity of potato vada served with spicy tomato gravy on top. - Veg Shikhampuri Kebab - Originating from the royal kitchens made freshly from stuffing made with hung yoghurt, green chillies, onions & coriander. Served with mint chutney & salad. - Dhuandaar Paneer - Diced Paneer pieces cooked slowly in a hot & spicy gravy with authentic Maharashtrian style. Can be enjoyed with tandoori roti, naan, etc. • Ratings - • Ambience - 5/5. • Service - 4/5. • Food - 4/5. A must visit place to try out something authentic food with a twist of state cuisine experience food. Really nice place to enjoy food with your friends and family. Kudos to D' Two States.
