Little bit expensive. Ordered curries which was not that tasty. But the red snapper fish was so good and so appetizing. You should definitely try this

This is good as one time experience. I found the rates little expensive. One has to take a boat ride to get here. Go to any one of the many boating clubs in poovar near the RTO check post to get boat rides. You have to bargain with them to get the best price. The prices vary from ₹1000 to ₹5000 for a 2hr ride!
You can reach the restaurant and order your food and then go to beach to enjoy for half hour. When you come back your food will be ready. This is a good way of managing the crowd. More floating restaurants are coming up now around this place now which will make prices and service competitive.
Coming back to restaurant, food is decent and service is also ok. The place is very small and can accommodate only upto 30-40 guests at a time but the management is managing it very well. We ordered the seafood platter which was mentioned in menu as ₹5500 but he was ready to charge us 3000 after discount. All items on the platter were good and tandoori prawns could have been better. However overall it was good. Post lunch we went back boating via the canal which was the best part of the day.

Enjoyed the view and the food too! Staff was very warm and willingly customized food for us. Friendly service. We felt special, the food was great, the service was great very nice atmosphere. The food was fresh and so tasty. Anyone in the area must come and eat here. This restaurant defiantly deserves the highest rating. A wonderful spot. Well done
It is a floating hotel, you get good sea food, they charge based on the size of the fish and per kg. The food is very tasty, you get fresh fish. We ordered for prawns, snapper, squid. But they are very expensive . Worth it for fresh fish 😉
The red snapper we ordered here was very tasty n worth the price. No regrets whatsoever, veg not preferable and please don't opt for rice if u r not hailing from Kerala

Stopped over here for lunch while on the Poovar backwaters cruise, and it turned to be the best meal of our Kovalam trip so far. Though they have an expansive menu of Indian and Chinese dishes, we stuck to core Kerala dishes - Karimeen Pollichathu, Crab Masala, Prawns Curry - and each of them were divine.
The fact that you can order ahead while on the cruise ensures that the food is ready by the time you reach. The toilet is clean, and the staff efficient. The food is expensive though, but worth the quality and the ambience.
Located very close to Golden Sand Beach but you need a boat to reach here as its floating in Neyyar river. Great view from here. Food items are good and tasty. Everyone visiting poovar mangroves / sand beach must visit here.
