I would rate it as the best chicken fry available in trivandrum. Never dined out there but ordered online. A must try if you are a foodie in trivandrum.
Soft porota and chrispy tasty chicken fry.really enjoyed the food. Service was good. Rates are reasonable.They also gave some gravy which was nice. Must try if you love chicken fry
Chappathi/Porotta and Chicken Fry! ‘Nuff said!! The signature dish of this place is to die for. They have stayed true to their original taste. Try getting a take away from here and you'll get the chicken fry wrapped in banana leaf! The smell... Ah! Wonderful!

We had tried the ghee rice and chicken fry combo. Ghee rice was superb in taste, chicken fry was super cooked and the meat was juicy and the crumbs were crispy. പൊറോട്ട was not hot. Parking will be very difficult. Have great seating capacity as well. Staffs were very friendly and cooperative. It's location has been changed and new location is in safalyam complex. Lime juice is a must try item.
Visited the restaurant after around 18 years. (Near Palayam pally.) Staff changed, rooms changed, but I felt the same taste. It was my affordable nutrition source during my stay in the university hostel Palayam, as they offered half biriyani at a reasonable price. I think it’s the cheap in cost biriyani always. (Beef biriyani @120) If you eat to live, recommended from different perspectives.
I visited the renovated taj in the saphalyam complex. We were short of time and wanted to have lunch. The service was very fast and good The biriyani was very good. The fish curry meals and fish fry was very tasty. Overall a nice experience.
If you are opting for chicken fry and Kerala porotta there is no better place than TAJ... simply superb...

If you come to Trivandrum, you should try the famed Chicken Fry, native to this place. If you wish to eat the best, Taj is the go-to place. Chilli chicken is also good. N.B - Sorry for the empty plates. Didn't get time to click photos when the food arrived. 😁
Chicken fry is good. 80 Rs for half plate which consists of 2 pieces. Porotta is Not that good. People who are eating from there are very less after introducing this hotel in online delivery platforms. Its a place worth trying. Located opposite of Palayam mosque. Pay and park is available for cars.
Been there multiple times. Food has always been delicious. But last time I had a biriyani, don't know why, there wasn't any gravy with rice. It was like some Mandi; but the rice was overcooked. Apart from not having gravy it was still delicious. I asked for a chicken gravy hence, and I was served with that. Had a satisfactory meal. Recommendable.
