Authentic chettinad restaurant. We went there on Diwali night 2019. It was crowded. We tried kannappa special chicken masala and it was good. Chapathis, idiyappams were all good too.
This hotel is know its chettinad style cooking. Best family restaurant. Good for evening brunches. Hygienic place.
Kanappa is really a good hotel for Non Veg Lovers. Good service and nice Ambience. Price is Reasonable. Had Chicken Lollipop, Mutton Gravy, Prawn Thokku, Fish Fry, Idiyappam Paya. All were really good.
Even if you drive by this restaurant and you ll feel the amazing fragrance of their biriyanis...
Kannapa is known for its mutton biriyani made with seeraga samba rice served with the brinjal curry and raitha. Absolutely fantastic non-vegetarian sides too, with average ambience and good service.

After dindigul.... I often like to have biriyani here,,, never missed in any occasion... Naan and chicken buttermasala was best served here.. service will always be delayed...

Go here for the Chettinad style food. Really good tasty food. Quantity is good and the prices are ‘high-class’ as they mentioned. We tried the Soup, Mutton Biryani, Nalli Sukka, Liver fry & Kola Undai. All were really tasty served hot. Very good to place for families.
First time I visited here.....food quality and atmosphere super. I had ordered fried rice and seeragasamba biriyani It tasted good. I had ordered mutton fry that tasted good but the mutton piece was big..

I ate Seeragasamba mutton biriyani taste extraordinary.... soup mushroom cream soup very tasty& tempting ...starters panner Tikka & Fish BBQ its also very tempting.... mutton keema uttappam taste ok but not well...chicken hot &sour soup also taste little soya smell i don't like d taste...Finally Falooda its very tasty...
This is one of the relatively cheapest yet The Best Non veg hotel in Trichy. We had sumptuous dinner. Yet the bill came around 150 per person only.
The food taste was very good amd quantity was right one. Overall had a good experience.

We went for a lunch along with family. We had biriyani and nalli fry and taste was awesome. Mutton pieces were fresh and juicy. Quantity also good and worth for the cost. All the items were good and delucious.
Only concern is no parking space for cars and road is very narrow near the restaurant.
Don't miss to go here when you visit Trichy.
Excellente! That's the only word I can think of.
We were in Trichy for 2 nights and had dinner here on both nights. The food is finger licking good. You cannot have enough of it. You can get a sense of it when you seee the crowd here. It is almost always full. But dont worry, they have got big dining places inside as well which are not visible from outside. You just need to ask the staff.
The staff is very very helpful and will provide you details on every dish and guide you.
This is a must go to place to have at least one meal while in Trichy. You need not worry if you are not in Thillai nagar, as these guys have multiple branches in Trichy. You can try the nearest one.
I am definitely going there again when I am in Trichy next time!
Dishes we tried are as below and all were equally good.
Mutton biryani, Veg fried rice, Paneer Chilly, Kothu Paratha, Idli, Fresh fruit juices.

The meal was a delightful journey through authentic South Indian cuisine. Their menu, catering to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. Sometimes you will feel the delay in the service response due the crowd. The handwashing place is very small which can be used for a single person.
We went around evening 5. It was their non service time. We had to order what's available on that time. We ended up ordering Schezwan egg rice, parota, chettinadu chicken masala and sweet lime juice.
I particularly loved the schezwan egg rice. It was spicy and rice, egg and veggies were cooked well.
And Chettinadu chicken masala also good. It was soft and tender.
Looking forward to explore their different dishes on next time.

Must try - Briyani and starters. Especially their suvarotti! One of the best food. Heavy crowd during peak hours. Sometimes parking will be bit of a challenge. Highly recommended for family
