The central bus stand has more buses. But the facilities in this bus stand are very poor. You can't use public toilet in that bus stand, because it's fully covered by house flies. Instead you can use paid toilets. But there are some hotels to eat hygienic food. You can kept the wallet or some important thing safely. Because there are some pickpocket gang in surrounding. This station was beautiful, parking and dedicated ticket and reservation counters established and food and food coat is great, I am sure any one can buy quality food in entrance of this station.
The busiest centre. Very near to railway station. Very good hotels located around the central bus stand. Authorities maintaining well. Noticed one good thing here, there's an air conditioned paid dormitory available. Can take rest here, safe place to wait. Neatly maintained. Local people are good and supportive. Need some maintanence near to the toilets, waste water logging and bad smell around. Hygienic level to be maintained.
In short, to get connectivity to any place in TN, you can first reach Trichy Central bus stand.. (few buses to northern towns of TN start from chathiram bus stand, but there are frequent town buses between the two bus stands). Lot of decent Hotels, restaurants, sweet shops and road side eateries are just outside the bus stand. .
Paid Toilet facilities (mediocre) are available.
Railway Station is less than a km away.
This Trichy central bust and is one of the major bustand in tamilnadu and you can get buses to any major town or city and state headquarters of neighbouring states. Need to be cleaned and the worst part is the toilet is very worst here without any maintenance.

A central location for the central bus stand. Lot of platforms to cater all distance routes.
Main bay is good with easily accessible way but narrow given the cited condition.
Bangalore side bay need to be improved.
For stalls and toilet facilities are there but not neat.

Connection with other places of Tamil Nadu & limited access within the city location. However another bus station is located for the travel within Trichy city location. Cleanliness & face-lift is required. Surrounded by good hotels for lodging & Restaurants for boarding purposes.
Large space for buses 🚌 can keep little bit more clean👌 public restrooms are very poor maintained 😞 lots of food and beverage shops are available around and inside 😋 little bit noisy 🥴 available of buses is great here for all places ❤️
Good and big bus stand. You get long route and short route bus from here. Not at all clean. Toilets don't recommended
