Have been waiting to try this place since a long time. Finally had a proper dinner here and first thing I would like to say is this place was worth the expectations. The taste is good and quantity is sufficient. We ordered hara bhara kabab, paneer tikka masala & malai kofta. Malai kofta was delicious, paneer was so so and hara bhara kabab was great. Overall a good experience.
nyc restaurant with nice ambience. The food was delicious, tasty and full of gravy. Mouth watering dishes. Service was good. Enough space to do any small celebration like birthdays.
Value for money. Tasty and good quantity served in khalsa thali. 120 rs. only. fast service. Just 2 draw backs 1. it will feel hot in summers. coolers are less efficient. Dont use toilet, too small and unhigenic.
To put it in simple terms, THE BEST INDIAN RESTAURANT IN UDAIPUR CITY. Personally, I find the food at par with, even better than the highly popular gourmet Indian restaurants of the glorious 5 star hotels in Udaipur.
The Paneer Tikka with Butter naan is absolutely divine and must try.
This is basically a simple restaurant, almost like food stall, yet good level of cleanliness. Food prices very reasonable.
Food full of flavour, and freshly prepared, even basic things like marinades for barbequed items.
The restaurant is purely vegetarian and great for Jain food. Owner and staff very friendly, and great place for customized food (jain food or non spicy food).
Only downside is seating is limited, and would recommend only take aways for dinner on holidays, as it is extremely crowded.

Let's start by saying that not the most easily noticeable restaurant for sure..... The place gives you the feeling of a dhaba in the middle of the city.... From inside its not much for interiors or decor or for that matter not a fine dining place (Some might say so)..... But heard a lot about it so decided to give it a try... So went there and ordered Masala Papad, Roasted Papad, Paneer Tikka Masala, Onion- Aloo Kulcha with Chole, Tandoori Rooti, Lassi & Chaach..... Lets start by saying that this is run by sikhs & their generosity reflects in the quantity of food..... The portions are quite generous.... Masala Papad was good.... Paneer Tikka Masala was finger licking delicious.... Onion-Aloo Kulcha with chole were mouthwatering.... To top it all Lassi & Chach.... It was a really great experience.... If you just want good food.... No ambiance... No fine dining experience Nothing just good food this is the place you want to be.... For 3 people Lunch it costs us INR 540.....
Overall Verdict
Ambiance- Nothing out of ordinary
Service- Not that great but ok
Food- Delicious
Value For Money- It is worth every penny
This restaurant will give you feeling of a Dhaba.
Khalsa is very popular & best place for Punjabi Cuisine & popular place among students (crowdy place). Typical punjabi tasty food in budgeted price you will find here. Place is not very hygienic but you will be satisfied with it's good quality food with optimum quantity and awesome taste as well. Service is also normal (average when there is more crowd).

Taste was very authentic.
You will really feel that you are eating a Punjabi food which is so seldom the case these days.
