We loved this place. The food quality and taste was very nice. We had their thali which was filled with authentic Gujarati delicacies. The sweets were just awesome. The service was also really good. Overall a lovely experience. Would love to visit again.

Been going this this restaurant for years and the food quality had deteriorated a few years back but now it is back to its original taste and quality or even better. The only thing I did not like was the loud music. They used to play soft Indian classical back in the day. But other than that excellent service and food quality. Highly recommend to those who enjoy Gujarati vegetarian Thali that is not too sweet nor too spicy. Very Balanced.

The thali is an excellent way to experience the local cuisine. The restaurant was clean, well staffed and service was excellent. If you want to experience the local cuisine I would recommend the restaurant. The ambience was unique and cosy.

A tasty, authentic thali, at a reasonable price considering they kept adding to your plate until you could eat no more! The restaurant has very nice decor and the staff were very polite.

It’s in the first floor of Express Towers. Thali costed Rs. 475 per plate incl. of taxes. There is Valet parking, although we didn’t notice it and parked our car outside. They offer only Gujarati Thali, and it’s menu slightly changes daily. You can view the price and items even before you enter the restaurant and that’s a good thing. There was chaas, sweets, curries, rotis and rice. All were unlimited. Service was quick and efficient. They politely offered anything you wanted. The cutlery was elegant, but the food was not upto the mark. Overall, it could have tasted better. Maybe Gujarati cuisine is that way, but that’s what I felt. Best place to experience authentic Gujarati thaali. Ambience is really nice. Staffs are attentive and friendly. Food tastes really great. It’s safe to eat here as they maintain quality. Vegetarians must visit here. They serve 3 sweets which is really great and they also provide options with Punjabi or Gujarati Dal/Kadhi. The price is worth it.

Friendly staff and always serve with a smile. Mandap restaurant is in The Express Hotel and their Gujarati thali is the best. They only serve Gujarati thali in lunch and dinner. Each day is a new menu. And it's unlimited for the vegetables, daal roti, rice and limited on sweet dishes but they serve 2 to 3 different ones. Absolutely love their food to the core and highly recommend them.

One of the most authentic Gujrati thali experience here. Food has good options. It starts with starters like Khasta kachori and barfi dhokla, goes on with amazing variety of curries, Gujarati dal n kadhi along with thepla / rotis and ends with yumm desi desserts like moong dal ka halwa, phirni or Ras malai added with butter milk and jal jeera. Thali is approx 460 INR per person and is quite busy in lunch and dinner peak time . Service is good and quick.

Great place for an authentic Gujrati thali. Have a variety of vegetables along with rotli, thepla and a selection of Daal, Kadhi and desserts. Service is good and attentive and food was tasty. Highly recommend if you want to sample a wide variety of Gujarati food.

Excellent authentic Gujarati Thali. Loved the food. Loved the service. Loved the ambience. Loved the cutlery so much 🙂🙂🙂. The Gujarati style Dal Kadhi was so yum. If you've a sweet tooth, you'll fall in love with this Dal Kadhi. They do give option of choosing between Gujarati style Dal Kadhi & Rajasthani style one. And the desserts served were too good too. Rasagulla, kheer, fruit custard were so damn good. And the Farshan (Gujarati namkeens) served were awesome as well. I especially loved the mini Samosas they served. Overall amazing experience of having authentic Gujarati thali. If you're a vegetarian, you'll obviously love this Cuisine. If you're a non vegetarian, once you try this, you might even decide to become a pure vegetarian due to the lovely dishes and the many varieties of Gujarati Thali.

Best Thali I ever had in my life. Food is full of flavours and every dish served tasted awesome. The servers were extremely welcoming and serving with a smile. Visited at around 12:45 on a Sunday afternoon and it was fully packed. Really amazing food one must have while in Vadodara.

Nowhere near to what is being expected out of such reputed restaurant. The service was just similar to any ordinary restaurant. The dishes offered to us were way too low in class compared to what someone expects from places like Express Hotel. Food quality was pathetic and all dishes were served cold. Rice and some of the vegetables were even half cooked. They charge around 280-300 per person for their thali but far better options are available in Vadodara in 1/4th of their rate. In all, most disappointing food experience of my life. Never visiting again to Mandap & will not recommend anyone else also to visit the same.

The first impression getting in was with very bad smell went to Inorbit one food was not up to mark nor was service even after charging bit more quality of food was not good I wish we would have eaten Burger King instead of our choice mandap.big disappointment dissatisfaction all I can say .

The food is ok but just like any other Gujarati Thali place next door. Nothing extravagant or anything interesting considering it is a part of 'The' Express Hotel. Visited there today and was quiet disappointed with things. Firstly, one of the vegetables' served to me had a hair in it! On complaining about it to the staff and the manager (may be) all they had to say was 'Sorry Madam'. Didn't really look like they were actually sorry about it! Secondly, they still charge GST 18% whereas every other place charges 5%. On checking about this, before paying, they said that '5 star' places still charge 18%. Thirdly, the bottled water clearly states the price as Rs.30/- something and they charged Rs.45/-?! Why? Is that a norm in India? EXTREMELY disappointed with this place. Not sure if I will ever go there again!

I was in Vadodara just for a day and asked my friend to take me to the best Gujarati Thali place and that's how we got here. The food, service, ambiance, pricing and the overall feel, everything was brilliant and worthy of all the hype this restaurant gets. On a weekday, this place was choc-a-bloc with guests during lunch time and that says a lot about the popularity and quality of this restaurant. I am sure that whenever I go back to Vadodara I would be having another meal here!

I love the food at mandap. Food is served piping hot. So u can relish it. Desserts r too good. Awsm food and good Ambience at Mandap , inorbit mall. But at express alkapuri, Sundays r always overcrowded. Truely loved it.

The food was good and the ambience too.. we went to mandap at Inorbit.. however didn't like the aamras..

Name mujab gun nathi. High charges. Service is poor. Mineral water bottle charges is 40 Rs. Take. Sasuji is better than mandap . 5 time exp. In sasuji .
