Review Havmor Restaurant - Vadodara

Hocco kitchen or popularly called Havmor Sayajigunj is one of the oldest outlet of this chain, maybe the first one. It is the only outlet amongst the chain serving non vegetarian food. So, when you visit the place you have to specifically ask for the non vegetarian menu specially for the unlimited meals. Havmor Sayajigunj brings back a lot of nostalgia and fond childhood memories. The ambience is regularly upgraded and always pleasant. Cooling is also perfect. Service maybe a bit relaxed maybe because of the old and loyal staff still working there. Food is amazing, specially the non vegetarian dishes. The 'must try' dish is Boneless butter chicken. They have the best butter chicken in Baroda, or probably the best in the world. Their menu claims that if they don't start serving within 10 mins of ordering the unlimited menu then the meals would be free. However, this didn't happen even though our order started late and even after our claim it was informed to us that it is old scheme and it is not prevelant anymore. This is the only reason for deduction of 1 star from their rating.

Service was fast and the staff was able to accommodate us for a quick dinner just before closing. The chicken kadai was spicy as expected and extremely delicious!

It was nice, clean, comfortable place. Hygiene and quality of food was very nice. As expected from havmore.

Delicious food and amazing staff hospitality:) ... completely satisfied...price is bit on a higher side but the taste makes sure the money you are paying for is worth it .. We had tried Punjabi samosa, chana puri , aloo Paratha, vegetable raita and vegetables butter pulav...and i must say everything we had ordered was spot on.... only aloo Paratha was OK in taste nothing extraordinary in that but butter pulav and chana puri was soo delicious. Talking about Punjabi samosa it was also good it taste somewhat like normal samosa with bit of extra Veggies in it . Then we tried pineapple icecream ( i never heard of pineapple icecream so i tried it) and guess what is was also very delicious.....price is for sure is expensive but you can visit for a good dining experience. One of those nice places that you stumble upon. I had a Butter chicken craving one day and stumbled upon this place. We were escorted to a nice table and realised the menu is actually pretty nice. Ordered some butter chicken with my buddies and some nice butter naan. I loved the food and their service. There also is a nice variety of desserts to chase down that meal so it’s a nice overall

A best place to visit..👍 This place provides a perfect quality dinner with your beloved ones. Taste is simply the best I can say. A bit expensive place but, taste and behaviour of all the people working here totally satisfies our expense. A true atmosphere to visit and to have a good quality tasty food. A highly recommended place for gifting your taste buds and stomach some good food. Because many places have taste but no health, but this place is having both altogether with the best atmosphere.

Yeah one the best restuarant in Vadodara where you can get the best of best food and embience is very cool. Taste is also very good and wide in variety. Their is also cafe down the restuarant. We order South India it was awesome and kuthru Paratha in starter was great. Service is average . A must visit place in restuarant. It is near to the rockstar circle and ideal location for restuarant.

A fine restaurant with 50+ years of passion exhibited for food, wide choices, simple but executed with excellence! Visited by many famous Indian celebrities. Given the age at this restaurant, perhaps the decor and ambience could use a refresh...but otherwise thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks. The Lassis and Ice Creams here are one of a kind, a definite must try!

Nice place for veg and non veg. Little expensive and quantity is also less but taste is good. Loved starters and dessert.

Went for lunch with parents... As usual the taste was great..we've been visiting this restaurant (this outlet) from past 8-9 years regularly.. my parents also love this place as they serve authentic food with great taste... We tried Dry Manchurian today.. paneer Kesari, Veg Kofta etc.. was really nice in taste and exactly what we told to waiter.. less spicy it was.. overall good place and I do recommend you to visit this once..

Taste of the food was unique. We ordered mutton and the pieces of muttons are so tender and juicy. Rumali roti is also taste very good.

Food could have been a lot better. Also the service was extremely poor and the attitude from the managers only made matters worse.

Superb Chole Bathure. Best I have ever had. Their desserts are out of the world. The Fudge Ice cream dessert is out of the world. The Malai Jamuns were excellent. Shubro thé head of staff was perfect with his recos.

Ordered above two dishes as had to be without onion and garlic. Kofta was nicely stuffed and you could see it , feast for the eyes ... In breads paratha were made of pure wheat , you are happy when there is no wheat flour in your paranthas .. I dined with my nuclear family , me , spouse and two kids and overall enjoyed the food , ambience and hospitality..

Chipped, stained plates with okay food complimented by a horrible service, no clarity on menu on what is available at what time and what rate. Never expected this type of experience at a Havmor.<br/>Given you 3 star just because of excellent experience at Ahmedabad-Havmor, otherwise the one at Sayajiganj Vadodara deserves a zero.<br/>Friends, you really need to improve.

Had a night out with an office colleague. The dearth of good restaurants in Vadodara is quite imminent. Yet we landed upon this place. Authentic quality food. Excellent friendly staff. Well lit and lovely ambience. We had Chicken Wings which were perfectly cooked. The Prawns Pepper Fry were out of the world. The Keema Zarda Biriyani was a little dissapointing.<br/>Overall awesome place. Do try the Prawns.😊

This restaurant is very old and famous for its delicious food. First time order from here thru zomato. Ordered paneer lababadar and Veg biryani. Both items were tasty. But i m disappointed in their quantity. Value wise quantity is not sufficient for 2 person. Their non veg items also tasty that you can enjoy it in restaurant more instead of home delivery.

Walk-in for an excellent spread of multiple cuisines. We had Daal Makhani and Badhiya Paneer. The Dal al stood out and was perhaps the best I have tasted in my 50 years. Highly recommended and two thumbs up....

Don't know why normal food is so expensive. Hotel food is better and pocket friendly compared to this place.

Good place to eat veg as well as non veg. I had a veg wrap and veg biryani here. Taste and ambience both are good but the quantity compared to price is less.

Havmore is one of the best ice cream parlor in MSU vicinity although little bit expensive than the local ice cream parlor but it is worth it and you cannot go wrong with chocolate ice cream

It's a great restaurant. Karari Roomali being my favorite here. Food is really amazing. Rather it be a soup, starter or sizzler. A wonderful place for some great food and ice creams.

The best place we've been visiting for years and will remain the favourite for us. Food is the best as you can get continental, Indian and many other cuisines. Ambience is very good. Staff is very friendly and is polite. They always come up with new ideas such as corn fest.

It's a great restaurant everything is really good. Food is amazing chole bhatura is to die for. Mr.Chattan Singh is an amazing person alwz helpful n cheerful. All staff n chef are equally grt.

A great place for non-veg lovers.. No idea about veg though. Chicken tandoor and tikka are really great. Succulent, soft and tasty. Biryani is equally good. Management is very friendly as well and welcoming. Kudos to Havmor team for such a great place in baroda.

A wonderful place for some great food and ice creams. We had rice with dal and topped it up with an ice cream Fruit Overload. It was amazing and definitely the tastebuds were happy. The service was great though the price was a little on higher side I thought but was fine. A very crowded place in the evenings where people stand out and have ice cream. Had just come to Vadodara and checked out this restaurant in Zomato, thought to give a try<br/>The ambience is decent give it 3.5 out of 5<br/>But what impressed me more was the service especially Mr Harish Pandit.<br/>I asked his opinion on main course and starters he suggested a Karari Rumali ( Papad ) among with green salad<br/>I finished it in 5 mins flat and also main course Balti Chicken, which when he found out I did not like the taste took my preference and got a new one done.<br/>A big shout out to Harishji<br/>And keep it Havmor

Ordered jumbo grilled sandwich with cheese top-up. Delivery was prompt but cheese top-up was not provided by havmor. Sandwich was okay but was not as per order.

Havmor Sayajigunj is one restaurant i identify with the evolution of Baroda from being a laid back town to a hustling city. There are some constants though one of them being Havmor Sayajigunj. Havmor has managed to maintain its standards both by way of fresh interiors, polite staff and the food it serves. It has to be a must visit place here in Baroda if one wants to enjoy a meal with friends or family ; alternatively it has good meal offers for traveling executives or to have business luncheons too.

This is the place I love to visit often. Staff being very polite & food awesome, as always. Ordered a Chinese non veg one pot meal with chunks of chicken accompanied with tasty Chinese sauce followed by Gajar ka halwa. Both tasted good. I loved having the sauce.

We were in a hurry. So ordered multani paneer masala , chole , kulchas and biryani. Food was fresh and extreme value for money. It was tasty yet easy on the pocket unlike many Mumbai restaurants.

Its always have funn when you eat in Havmore. It is only one havemore branch in Vadodara, which have veg+n.veg options. Food tastes is good. Large Verity of menu. Seasonal menu is also there. It is old restaurant, but like old is gold. Nice interior. Well trained staff. Quick service. Good quality of taste in each food. It doesn't have parking facilities, you have to park vehicles on road. Price of foods are quite higher. Main course dish starts from 250₹.

So, I have been to this place quite a few times as there are very few places in Vadodara where I really enjoy my meals and this seems to be one of them.<br/>I have tried the Chhole bhature, House special pizza, Sandwiches here and all of them taste amazing.<br/>The milkshakes here are to die for, as they are ice cream blended. The Mojito was also too good.<br/>The staff here is well trained and very courteous, always smiling.

Overall, a very good experience at Havmor Restaurant, Sayajigunj, Vadodara. We organized a small family dinner for a few of our guests. Mr. Sudershan, the restaurant manager, was very helpful and supported us with everything from table reservation to booking to finalizing the menu and more. We pre-ordered most of the items, but then at the last minute, decided to change a few and add some non-vegetarian items to the menu as well. The staff was very supportive, accommodated our requests, and the service was prompt. We ordered a good variety of starters and main course. The Navratan Korma was excellent, and many of our guests loved it. The Murgh Malai Tikka was good too. We ended with a scoop each of Havmor Pista Malai ice cream, which was delicious! Overall, good experience.

The soups are not worth a try... not only that the managers have no clue how to describe a recipe! As bland as it can get! Basically some veggies floating in hot water.

I am regular vistor of this place. The food, the service & the ambience are all superb. The variety they have with sizzlers is something that pushes me too visit Havmor very often.

No test, Late Service, Verry Third Class Food and Third Class Service, Waiters behave is Verry cheap, and one fat waiter nature is Verry rude.

Quantity was too less and tasted also very poor. Hardly 4 pieces of paneer in so called gravy. .A complete waste of money.

Fine dine restaurant.karari roti is must try. We went their for my birthday dinner . It was delicious and the ambience is good. Recommend for special occasions,family gethering.It is a bit on pricy side but worth paying the price .who doesn’t know how good the havmore icecream is. We have tried coffee and chocolate sundae with brownie which was great to end the dinner.

Corn,capsicum & few other ingredients as per the menu were missing.

Had veg sizzler with that they give complementary salad and papad. The taste was awesome with good friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Will visit once again.

Normally I prefer spicy food for lunch/dinner. But for the very first time I tried a bit different dish *Baked Lasagne* and it was fantabulous. Taste was mind blowing. I would definitely love to try out other options during my next visit here ✌🏻.

Ordered online through zomato, butter chicken for home delivery. First surprise that i got was, the quantity was too less, for a full butter chicken. No decent restaurant will cut down the qty to such an extent. Not enough for even one person. Anyhow, maybe that's how Havmor does it and my expectations were wrong.<br/>But the bigger shock was - that certainly was no butter chicken. I know my butter chicken and can bet with anybody. It seemed like chicken karahi. I had to cut a sorry figure in front of my friend. The chef shld check with the butter chicken of moti mahal, chandni chowk and then do justice to the dish.<br/>Really bad !

Nice ambience, clean place and excellent service, with of course nice food. I just tried their Safed Mass (White Mutton) which was cooked to perfection and spiced just right. Excellent Rajasthani dish.  Also tried their Chicken Tikka - really delicious.  Topped by great service with a smile from all of the servers including chiefs Chattan Singh and Mr. Ojha. Thank you for a fine lunch and dinner, plus the complimentary Karari Rumali. The Cassatta ice cream was great. Lonavali is as good. Indian ice cream is 1000 times better and has better flavors than the Baskin Robbins junk sold in America. My favorite place to eat in Fatehgunj!
