Review Mainland China - Vadodara

Shreya Saha
The brand name itself is the justice to Chinese food that is suitable for the Indian palette. I found the Gujrat version is a bit sweet than other states but that doesn't ruin its taste at least. Fish items are tender and fresh, chickens are indeed delicate. Staffs are polite, the atmosphere is calm and cosy and family-friendly.
Rohit Gupta
Delighted by the food! Each and every dish we ordered was cooked to perfection and served with a welcoming smile. Chicken yakitori is a must try in starters and pad thai noodles with chilli garlic fish in mains will be a good choice. The space is beautiful and centrally located. Parking can be an issue so find spots before reaching the main junction.

Has been one of the best Chinese restaurant for me for almost 6 years. The ambience is no match to any other place. All food have good quality ingredients and have this wonderful essence and aroma. The taste of all items are subtle and keeps your craving for more. The best part is how much so ever you eat, it feels quite light in your stomach. The service is really perfect and on time. 7-8 options for drinks only, but a lot to choose in appetizers and main course. A must visit for all Chinese cuisine lovers.

Yummy delicious chinise dishes. A bit expensive but worth it to have a feel of place.

The food was just delicious and the taste was finger licking. Love is mainland China . Six people can easily eat within 2500 with shakes and dessert too. A proper meal can be done. Pinacolada is the best shake there.

I love this restaurant. People say it is expensive, but my motto is you get what you pay for. I regularly visit this restaurant, and every time it satisfies my taste buds. Food quality is superior and consistently fresh. 🤘🤘🤘

Thought that original chinese foods are too fade in taste as they don't much of spices, but their food was good. It was very light in spices.Ordered Sweet Corn soups,Veg Rice,Dumplings (not in pic).

Good food. Nice service. One of the unique things about this restaurant is that they put a paper mat below each drink they serve and even their table mat are of collapsible design made of plastic, hence they don't need to spend extra man hours in table cleaning and in turn there is reduction in waiting time for next customers.

Exquisite Chinese, as good as it gets. Nice & friendly staff. A great variety of dishes. Went for dinner with my wife, it was a wonderful experience. Parking of vehicles can be a bit dicey.

Limited menu but good food. Burnt garlic rice was great and hakka noodles was okay. Manchurian had a little bit more salt but was satisfactory. Parking is a problem.

Tried the buffet for the first time. Thoroughly enjoyed. Every single item on the menu was deliciously cooked. Good service too.
Arjunsinh Chandravat
Good food, need to work on service, couple of things missing from the menu. Less options for drinks, ambiance is not exact what it used to be.
Siddhi Pandya
It was delicious.. I've ordered Japanese noodles and Shanghai spring rolls.. The interior was amazing.. It was the real Chinese taste...Seriously it was awesome...
Ruben Sen
Good food. Prices ...just a wee bit on the higher side..specially the non veg dishes. Note that buffet at 650 per plate is available on sat and sun - lunch only. Its ala carte rest of the time. Non veg has crabs..prawns..chicken ..and mutton. The regular size of noodles and rice is like for 1to 1.5 persons. The ambience and cutlery was worth a second look.

The Menu was given in paper.
I expect that as per corona new normal.
But later they gave the same menu to some other table.
The menu was misprinted the main course in non veg was listed as veg only.
This restaurant is listed in dineout but they refused to take payment from dineout pay.
The sushi and japanese options were not listed in menu.

Ordered twice from here over during the lockdown period. Both times the portion sizes were sufficient for the price, the quality and taste was amazing. Their General Tao's chicken has become a family favorite and Chicken Fried Rice is worth a mention. Good value for money and will definitely order again!

Today i had ordered takeaway from Mainland China and the food was amazing and food was very good. Value for money. Great food and service.

I feel responsible to inform the prospective customers about the below par food quality being served by the restaurant especially when its being delivered. I ordered Pan fried fish and Drums of heaven both of which were completely pathetic. Mainland China has no business charging the customers such hefty amount and servings below standard food. Never ordering from here again. I might get sick after eating a small portion of the rotten stuff they sent. BEWARE.
Anindya Bhattacharya
BEWARE! MAINLAND CHINA FOOD CAN KILL YOU! HORRIBLE HEALTH & SAFETY COMMITMENT.
They have very poor process and quality control.
Today we ordered food with a note “No egg white should be used....”. When we received food it was full of egg.
This is not the first time that it happened. It’s the FIFTH time they did it. Twice they did it while dine-in MAINLAND CHINA, VADODARA and thrice they did it in delivery on Zomato platform.
Their repeated mistakes shows their indifference towards your request and process of cooking food and commitment towards HEALTH & SAFETY practices.
SO TAKE YOUR DECISIONS ACCORDINGLY.
I haven't tried much of this place except almost all of its fish varieties and They were amazing! The spices were in great proportions. The fish was fresh and soft. Mainland China's (fish) gravy/sauce has its own unique taste which is delicious. Their are few places in Vadodara who offers a good tasty seafood and Mainland China is one of them!
Bamboo & Banana
the waterchestnut dimsums with sauce were great

We tried a lot of things here. I would highly recommend to try their honey fried noodles with vanila ice cream and in starters their chilli cottage cheese. The noodles and rice were also nicely made.

I will rate it 4/5. This Chinese restaurant is very famous for Chinese cuisine. this, restaurant gives pure authentic taste of Chinese cuisines. The ambience is also very good in this restaurant. The cost is little bit high. But, it gives the pure authentic taste of Chinese cuisine. it is good restaurant to have Chinese cuisines.

I visited this place with my family and they loved this place specially for Chinese. This restaurant gives pure authentic taste of Chinese where you won't find it.
Just loved this place and must visit this place.

I visited this place yesterday only with my husband. We just loved the food and ambience of this place. The staff was very good and their service was best.
Do visit this place if you want pure authentic taste of Chinese.

I recently visited this place with my family. The place is very awesome and the ambiance is very good. Food excellent and worth. There was birthday on my table and in the end they surprised us with the small cake. This was the best part of Mainland China.
Must visit this place😍😍

I visited to devour delicious chinese food at Mainland China.
Located at: Bell-e-vista complex, Chakli cirlce, Opp GST Bhavan Race course is one the happening section of the city.
Mainland China has Launched a new Menu and is well known for its chinese and asian fare.
What i admire is the creativity with vegetarian appetizers- with styled cut carrots, keeping banana leaf under a pan fried dumplings and lots more.
What i loved about Mainland china is whether you want more traditional take over chinese or heterogenous or picky regional chinese food dishes, you will find them both in the restaurant.
My advice when going to Mainland china is to pick up exotic and rich sounding dishes from the menu rather than something which sounds safe and regular, because their chef are well trained to give you a jump on your taste buds.
Talking about the dessert then i am too picky from their menu and wont give you any other choice but the Honey noodles with almond flakes added with a scoop of vanilla.
Here are the dishes which I had from their new menu introduced by them

1.Steam vegetable Dumpling sichuan style
2.Pan fried Japanese mushroom & Chicken dumpling
3.Five Spice chicken
4.Sanpai chicken
5.Stir fried Haricot Beans with chilli and Sesame
6.Stir fried king prawn in roasted garlic
7.Mandarin Fish
8.celery & chinese Cabbage fried Rice
9.Sinhapore Style fried Noodles with Scallion
10.Honey Noodles with Almond Flakes
Each dish was absolutely yum and presentation was to it's peak.
And Not to forget Mr. Amar salian who is managing this outlet is outstanding person and has helped me out with dish selection and what to have and what not to. So i give him full credits, Do consult him if you fall short of selection.

Mainland China the name is enough for Chinese food right. Noo. If somebody wants the authentic Chinese food this is not the go-to place. They serve Chinese but not authentic it's Indochinese.
Yes, the ambience is really pleasant and the interior is well decorated.
But where it comes to food we have ordered first tom yam soup it was not up to the expectations. Then we ordered our main course cos four of us are so hungry we ordered vegetable and edamame fried rice with seasonal vegetables in smoked chilly sauce. And fried rice was as usual ok with vegetables and beans and the curry was like ok ok. Little less tasty with rice. Also we ordered chilli garlic veggie noodles.so, all in all, we have little disappointed with the taste cos we told the person who took our order that we want our food seasoned well with good spice and flavour but still we have to ask for chilli sauce to balance our taste in food. Everything that we ordered was sweet in taste but Chinese food is not all about sweet it's is more garlicy chilli and balanced taste of all spices and flavoursome.
Apart from the food we were really disappointed with the service. we have to wait for our food for almost half-half hour between soup and main course. Staff is so unprofessional some of them don't even know what's mention there in the menu. So if they want to maintain the standard please improve service.
Kaustav Sen
Me and my wife went here a few days back. We ordered for chicken momos, noodles and chilly chicken, fresh lime soda and brownie in hot chocolate sauce and ice cream. The person responsible for the table was not available to take the order first. After flagging him down a few times, he reluctantly took the order. We asked him if there is a beverages menu, he said no. Felt strange, but well..maybe that's how it is. Few minutes later, we see him serving a drink to some other patron. Upon enquiry from a different staff, we obtained the beverages menu. Same thing happened for desserts. This is highly unprofessional by Mainland China standards. The food, the way it was served in such hurry, had it spilled on the table. There was zero recognition of the error by the staff, let alone any efforts to correct the same. Dear team, please understand, you are in a services industry, where the prime objective is customer delight. A customer comes to your restaurant for the first time, by the virtue of the brand you have, but to retain them and have repeat visits, you must put in the efforts. There is a serious lack of training and direction for the staff here and honestly, it didn't look as if they cared. There is a urgent need to get over cashing in on the brand name and actually put some effort towards customer delight. I hope the changes occur soon.

Usually I visit Mainland China for Buffet lunch, it has been fair experience so far. Today I have visited for A la carte dinner and had a worse experience. Despite a warm welcome the reception inside was very cold. It never appeared the staffs are happily attending their guests. My wife ordered for salad, which was not delivered. No one attended the table after serving the first portion. No one checked the glasses of water which were empty for long and had to really ask for it. While paying I raised couple of these concerns but very surprisingly the respective staff was unapologetic. While paying AI have given my credit card. Instead of immediately using it in the POS, the staff was carrying in his hand and went to a different table to receive orders and having discussions all through I was worried till the card was returned to me. I had a chicken hakka noodles which was full of egg only and hardly there were any chicken in it. Seafood fried rice contained Basa fish (?) and prawn only. That's it? That's what you call sea food? Miserable experience of a Diwali dinner which I wanted to have with high degree of satisfaction. I would not only avoid going there again, but will also share my experience with my friends, relatives and colleagues so that they can also take a conscious call while deciding to go to Mainland China, Vadodara

They don’t server the same thing that they server at the restaurant. I ordered chicken dimsums and it was waste of money would never order from here again

Served me fried cockroaches with teriyaki chicken. And least apologetic about it. Claypot dishes were tasteless. Even the fried rice was not upto the mark.. All taste was ruined and experience spoiled. Earlier location and food n service was much better.

Last week I was craving for some authentic Chinese food and the only place I could think of was mainland China.

I had:
Tomm yumm soup
Chicken dumplings
Singapore noodles
Chocolate bomb
Mango pudding

I totally loved the ambience. An amazing place to have a silent dinner with your loved ones. I specifically loved the dumplings and desserts. Honestly the desserts had my heart 😁

We reached by 9:45 on Sunday. The waiting was around 15-20 minutes. The staff was quick to place an order once we requested.
The soup wasn’t good. That tasted pretty weird. The manchurian’s were the best. Spring rolls were filled with too many cabbage which make it difficult to eat.
The cottage cheese starter was nice. Don’t remember the exact name thou’
The Hakka noodles was a little sour and the chilli garlic noodles was a little spicy. Liked the chilli garlic noodles being a little spicy and tasty.
I had cravings of Chinese hence went there. I don’t really think I’d visit anytime after this.

Excellent flavor..I always love #mainlandchina ...the best Chinese eva...taste are quite similar to what I had in Chennai branch at Phoenix market city.. ordered seafood fried rice and lamb hunan style and it was a treat for my taste buds..#thankyou

Nice and polite place for business lunch/dinner, also good service staff Loved their Lemon Coriander Soup and Vegetable Hakka Noddles. Non-veg food is must try.

Good food; good variety. Best part is they will cater to your customisations well and you can even interact with the chef if you may please. Well behaved staff and well maintained sanitation. Food festivals keeps happening so book your spots before hand.

Went for the weekend buffet. Food was very good, both veg and non veg and affordable too. The only negative is service is a bit lacking. There is a bit of confusion among the waiters and had to ask for same thing multiple times.

I had kept my expectations high when I was entering the restaurant. And yes the ambience is like a four star restaurant. I liked the ambience. All of the prices of cuisines were sky souring. That is completely fine. We ordered a fruit punch, Tom yum prawns soup, chilli potatoes, chilli garlic noodles, veg dumpling in sauce. The start with fruit punch and soup were prepared first. Chilli potates were nice and so was fruit punch. Now came the turn for Tom yum soup. The worst that I ever had in my entire life. It is way different from what is original. Very badly prepared. And then we waited for half an hour for our final order to arrive, which I think is toouch for a restaurant of this reputation. Chilli garlic noodles were the worst I had ever had in my life. The cook out too much garlic in it. And the noodles were not blended with all the ingredients. And the same comments for veg dumpling with sauce. I had not expected this. We left the food as it was. Didn't ate.

The restraunt showed us a courtesy that they didn't charge for chilli garlic noodles and veg dumplings. But this is not the point. They must maintain their reputation.
Mainland China is the place where you can celebrate your special occasion dinners if you are a fan of chinese cusines!!

This time we had basil flavored chicken dumplings..every bite of the dumpling was giving me so satisfying taste that I crave for more.. simply amazing..

After that we wanted to try something spicy in fish..so we tried fish in dragon chili sauce and to accompany it we ordered chicken fried rice...if you r a fish lover..u should definitely opt this dish..

Quantity and quality of the main course was worth for its price...
Rekha Sinha
Mainland China is authentic Chinese restaurant.
The ambience is very good.
The service is also appreciable.
We ordered Veg hot & saur soup & Clear chicken lemon corriender soup. Both are tasty. Good enough hot.
Main course was Veg Fried Rice & Chilly garlic Noodles, with Veg in black paper sauce.
Everything good in taste.
We also asked for crispi lamb. It was sweet & oily too.
So not so enjoyed.
Priyanka Bose Shah
rice was very dry

Good options for veg and non veg. Food was excellent. Ambience was too good. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. Although not that many good options in this city however this one is best.

Worst mainland China ever visited.
Food taste is gone, Indo chinese rather than Authentic.
Sevice speed also not good.

This branch is spoiling its good name.
Ketan Chemburkar
This used to be my goto place for chinese. Unfortunately - their service levels and taste has gone down hill since last 6-8 months. Don’t know why.
Cherag Khajotia
If it's Chinese at Baroda, it can only be Mainland China! The Thai Chilli Chicken, Burnt Garlic Rice, Golden Fried prawns and the caramel custard are my favorite. There are a number of dishes to choose from... Ask the Captain and they will tailor a menu to your taste buds!
Dr.Krishna Tavrawala
Disclaimer - If you wanna have authentic taste of Asia, this is the right place. That definitely doesn't mean that food is blend or absurd. It's on an authentic way, not like the typical local non-Chinese Chinese food we have. There are very few places serving authentic Asian food..

Service : Nothing to complain about
Food :
Taste : feel authenticity in your mouth
Quality : decent
Presentation : beautiful
Variety : depends upon you, how much Chinese you want!
Value for money : fair enough
Quantity : stomach filling

Plz add chicken in barbecued onion in menu,it’s my favourite,,plz add more item in main course,Starters. Also add Tom yum soup based on coconut milk

One of the best diner in vadodara.loved it. Nice quiet ambience, polite staff. The food was good from soup to fish starter to dimsums to main course noodles.
Ananya Mukherjee
This review is specifically for the vadodara chapter of Mainland China and doesn't reflect my opinion about the chain per say. The location still remains very prime. Place is cosy, we had booked a table in advance so were seated immediately. Coming to the food, the vegetarian food was way better than the non-veg. Worth mentioning are the water chestnut dimsums, the fried lotus stem with curry leaves. For the main course we had the Smokey chilly stir fried veggies and it was good. The reason for the low rating is solely the absolute disappointment that we were served in the name of butterscotch ice cream! How difficult is it to get ice cream right! Even the service needs to be improved drastically. The server had no idea how to serve food to big parties and we ended up with situations where half the table did not even get a particular item and we had to order more. Over all the experience could have been better and just left a bad after taste.
Choosyfoodie
The ambience is really pleasant and the interior is well decorated. The food is really delicious and we'll presented. The buffet has an array of options and every food item is really tasty. The staff is friendly and polite. Always have a great time here whether be it alone, with friends or family.

I visited Mainland China's new Race Course road branch, on Sunday, 16th December 2018 for dinner. The food was below Mainland China's usual high standards. The staff did not know what they wanted to do, I had to ask thrice for the khimchi and cucumber-carrot salad that MLC usually serves before it got registered to the waiter. In addition, for the starter, we ordered lettuce wraps, which are served with sauces and dips. Yet again, the starters were served without the dips, and the sauces were brought in only after repeated requests, and arrived when almost all of us had finished eating. To make things even worse, A RAT CAME RUNNING TOWARDS ME while I was eating, and it hit my shoe, and ran back under the sofa. When I complained to the waiter, the staff started giggling among themselves, rather than addressing the issue. This experience was by far the worst I have ever had at Mainland China. The presence of rats in the restaurant is completely unacceptable at a restaurant chain that claims to serve the finest Chinese cuisine. Sadly, this is one more restaurant that I have checked off from my list of go-to places, and I strongly advise others AGAINST visiting Mainland China ever again.
Viji Mary George
So my experience at Mainland China was truly exhilarating. The proportions of food served were fairly good. The food that we ordered for were extremely mouth watering and delicious. Right from the appetizers to the desserts everything was perfect. Special mention about the Coconut Caramel pudding, it was yum. The staff was also very courteous and professional. Overall a wonderful experience

After visiting other outlets PAN India , the quality of service is really poor along with the taste buds .
The stark difference is visible if one visits the Ahmedabad outlet and then comes to the one in Baroda. The staff is quite unprofessional as per the standards set in MAINLAND CHINA outlets .
The cleanliness standards needs to be better.
Shomendra Roy
Great place to be in Vadodara for a good Chinese meal, location is awesome on the junction, so is the food, must ask the chef for Sweet and chilly crispy chicken not on the menu, burnt garlic fried rice, the dim sum and fish preparation stands out. Overall SANTOSH has great patience and talks in details about the dishes as well as has good suggestions!

Very bad service
They serve non veg soup on ordering veg soup.
Please don't go here . Pathetic service
Ruined our Sunday . And on asking they say it's possible in hospitality industry

We went there for dinner about a year back.Ambience was good like fine dine restaurant. Good for companies get together or dinner parties . But not for people who like more livelyhood in the atmosphere.staff is well trained.
About food ,it was mild and authentic, but we are street chinese food lovers so did not enjoyed as much as we do at our local chinese vala.overall it was good.

I loved the food, ambience , music, freshness n service about this place. Location of the restaurant is at such a place that it's easily accessible n parking is not a problem too.. one must try buffet here .. its 👍 nice

Vietnamese Noodle Clear Chicken soup was amazing. It had adequate chicken quantity. Only it was a bit thicker, it would have been perfect. Taste was upto the mark, amazing!

I have been a great admirer of Mainland China and tried several outlets of the restaurant across the country. I was shocked to see and taste the food ordered by my wife from Mainland in Vadodara on Saturday, 7 July 2018.
We had ordered Nasi Goreng and Tsinghoi Chicken that on a first glance did not look like the items we ordered. Nasi Goreng that was delivered was a dark brown color rice with chicken and a fried egg, the flavor and other ingredients that are typical of this Indonesian delicacy was missing and the Tshinghoi chicken served was only chicken in a red chilly sauce with lots of dry red chilies.
As a loyal and old Mainland customer, it was disappointing.
Abhay Gaitonde
pomfret was terrible. I am a fish eater. the fish was so stale that I threw it away. Will never ever order from this restaurant again

Excellent Quality. Bit costly
Geet Sukhwani
we ordered various dishes, ranging from lamb, prawns, mushroom etc. everything was excellent except the crabmeat, the moment we opened the container there was a strong smell, enough to make you not want to eat, we still gave it a taste and confirmed the meat was not ok.. such things are not acceptable and not expected from a place such as mainland china that has always been consistent in its food!
Niki
Lovely ambience and good staff. Best of all the variety of non veg food is good and tasty. The desserts counter also offered good variety. Good value for money. Enjoyed this place.

On 22nd May we were 7 persons for dinner at Mainland China, Bird Circle. Though I had preordered, and sufficient quantities.. each item was 2 portions., we were amazed & dismayed to see that the portion sizes had shrunk horribly. The food was good & tasty, but we had to keep asking for more food as we were all hungry. We spent over Rs 6000 yet it was most unsatisfactory!
Though I called the Manager the next day & gave him a feedback, & he said he’d get back to me, there’s total silence since then.
These same friends & I have eaten in Mainland China at Centre Square Mall several times, this wasn’t the case then.
Abhishek Dutta
Very good taste unlike you would find anywhere in Vadodara.
Every dish is unique and worth trying.
Service can be slow but as the food is prepared slowly as it is supposed to be you would forgive them.
Dimple Nair
food is good deliver is ok

Ordered veg wonton at home. Highly disappointed with the plastic packaging and horrible taste. It was in sauce and by the time the item reached me, it was all stuck together. When I tried to separate the 4 pieces, all of it came open and i couldn't tell them apart. If sauce was involved, you should have delivered the wonton and sauce separately for me to add the sauce to the wonton later. Please work on delivering food in proper condition.

Ordering momos at home is a bad idea.

And I don't know why, home delivered food always tastes bad.

very badly packed. no sauces or accompaniments sent. sad. nothing like the mainland we know.

I am a big MC fan, their Sunday buffet lunch being the top on my list. Their domains are droolworthy and non veg flair is amazing. I must mention Mr Bishen, who recognises me everytime I go there and ensures the experience is flawless. The only thing negetive about MC is their service..it tends to be slow and repetitive. I don't mind though, because it gives me time to converse with my friends and family and makes the wait even more fruitful. Keep up the great work Bishen and team!
This restaurant has become quite popular in town. Service level has been improved significantly. Staff is wonderful. Their manager offers new dishes to try to customer and gets feedback. Recently they asked me to try veg “Sushi”. Japanese dish. Wonderful to experience.
Overall great place with great food.
Anjali Pabari
Been there twice but the new location isn't carrying the same ambience as the previous one at centre square. One of the things which we ordered were veg dumplings which were too oily to the palette and was completely unexpected and was one of the other major disappointment of the evening.
Anupam
Had called up to book a table. But on reaching there couldn't find anybody at the reception or at the restaurant to guide me . Seemed as if everybody was too busy to handle anymore customers. Thereafter left the place.
Dibyanshu Chandan
Best in town if you are craving for some real Chinese cuisine. Jiang chilli chicken prawn sui mai fish in dragon sauce everything was class apart.
Mitali Kulkarni
we were quite early so we had all the place to ourselves. the ambiance so perfect, nice lights, music in the background and the space did not look cluttered as well. we got complementary drinks( women's day)which were not overly sweet as they usually are. one of the appetizers we ordered was chicken spring roll which was little oily than expected. the only reason I don't order spring rolls in ordinary restaurant is that they make it drip with oil so a little disappointed with it but the taste was good and the filling not dry. for the main course the chicken with onions was little oily too but the taste amazing and the chicken soft and juicy. the other main course chicken in Ginger sauce was perfectly subtle and the chicken oh so soft. the staff is friendly, polite everything it should be. I do not mind paying what it costs to dine here and definitely look forward to eat here again.

Ambience: Very good
Food: Excellent
Location: Good
Environment: Peaceful

Mainland China is one of the finest and authentic chinese food restaurants in Vadodara. Food, Service & Ambience is excellent. Do visit if fan of Asian Dishes. 🖤

Hakka Nooodles- Ordered - Found a live cockroach . The hygiene level of the food has been absolutely gone to the crows and eagles and never ever visit the place !! It’s a waste of money , health and the choice you make to go and dine over there!!! When we questioned about hygiene they absolutely had no answers. In return they said we would serve special order and dessert. Priorly, when we visited on Dad’s birthday brunch. My dad had food poisoning next day, we thought it could be due to some other reason as we were unable to detect. But now, the picture is clear food quality is not at all hygienic. Never ever I would visit this place again.

Mainland China is one of the finest restaurants to visit in Vadodara. Food, Service & Ambience is excellent😄 Do visit if fan of Asian Dishes😉

Baroda has very less options for good asian food and thank god for mainland china. Nice soothing ambience and good food. We ordered the khow -suey and it was very good. The rest of the oriental food had an indianised touch and not everything is very healthy but tasty good food at the end of the day. We also ordered coconut caramel custard and it was v good too. :)

Ambience : 7/10
Food : 5/10
Location : 6/10

I went on weekend to try its delicacies but I was very much disappointed by the taste . I ordered eight treasure soup which was good but can be better. Then I ordered 2 starters, one was Thai chilli chicken 🍗 which was good but it could be made more spicy and second was veg in chilli plum sauce which was too sweet which I didn’t like. I am not sure whether all the dishes are of similar normal taste. At last I ordered veg fried rice which I didn’t like.
The cost compared to the food taste is too high so think twice before you try here....

Mainland China Vadodara lives up to its expectations, the best place to fulfill one’s craving for Chinese cuisine. The pan fried noodles was very tasty, Sichuan chicken with chillies and peanuts is a must try.Staffs were cordial and the ambience is good up to the standards of a fine dining restaurant.

To begin with, the new location is excellent. Specially during evenings the outside sitting would be great. As far as food is concerned, the buffet spread is nice and the variery in prawns and fish is good. May try to be slightly milder on Chinese flavors since the food would be just perfect.

Well I've been here several times and tried almost every dish on the menu.
I must say, I've never been disappointed with the taste and quality of the food

Firstly, talking about the ambience... The restaurant has a typical Chinese feel to it, which perfectly goes with the kind of dishes it serves.

The staff is very friendly, courteous and efficient.
It must be mentioned that the staff is actually better than that in most of the restaurants of Vadodara. They know what they're serving, how it's supposed to be served, and what the guest is expecting so if they notice even the slightest disappointment on the guest's face, they attend to it immediately and make sure it is looked after.
Another great quality of the staff is to give complimentary food and drinks if there's even a small glitch in the order; for example, i had ordered fish in devil's sauce for main course and when asked, I told the waiter that the sauce was a little less than expected. Within 5 minutes, I was served a bowl of the same sauce.
Another time, they just gave free mocktails as good gesture.
Yet another time, we were served complementary dessert because our starter took a little longer than expected to be served.

Coming to the highlight of the restaurant, the food...
All the dishes that I've tried till date are amazingly tasty.
But my personal recommendations include:

1) Peppery lemon soup (chicken):- It has the perfect balance of taste with the lemon grass flavor and the spice by the pepper..it's a clear soup so that makes it light and extremely refreshing.

2)Sweet and spicy crispy chicken:- Great dish with the chicken cooked to perfection and the amazingly crispy coating on it...The sweetness and the spice is also completely balanced. This one would make you go back there again and again.

3)Fish in Devil's sauce:- Comes in a spicy red sauce, with the fish so soft and flavored.

4)Fragrant pot rice:- This is a very different kind of recipe and the rice is beautifully flavored with spices like star anise... It's exactly as its name, it's gorgeously fragrant, and because it is cooked in a pot, it has an added flavor to it.

A few other mentions include Konjee crispy lamb, panfried chilli fish, Braised crab meat in pepper garlic sauce, Wok tossed prawns in Sichuan chili sauce, Maoshi chicken in a claypot and Lettuce wraps with water chestnuts and chicken

The only drawback is the pricing. It's a fine dining restaurant so it's not very pocket friendly, but to be honest, because of the amazing tasty food, and the extremely efficient service, I've never felt bad to pay the heavy bill.:)

Food is not something that you will find taste out of town here. Service is good. They are actually charges taxes and giving you some food for free. LOL
Few unique dishes and taste you will find out here.
Cost for 2 is approx 1200, which is very high if you compare with anything in Vadodara.

Good place but compared to other states, they have limited food menu. You want to celebrate your birthday, anniversary etc in Vadodara, surely you can go over there.

One of the best restaurants for Asian food in Baroda where there is limited choice when it comes to authentic Asian cuisine. Their buffet lunch is the best in Baroda. Their dimsums are great and so are other dishes. One suggestion would be to improve their desert choices. The honey noodles are great but some variation would be nice too. A must try atleast once if you like Asian food.

Poor service and very casual staff members. Quality is not up to the mark.

Ordered starter and it came when we were clearing the check at desk

Had a longing to go to this place! Sadly the experience didn't match the expectations! Chinese is my heart but unfortunately mainland chain is not my love!

Ambience :- Red being the domainant color of the Chinese culture was used in ample here. It was premium, classy and good for a fine dining experience.

Service :- the staff was courteous and took care. Maybe they could guide a little more while taking the orders.

Food:-
Sweet Corn soup :- was decent warm bowl
Crackling spinach :- I have tasted much better crackling spinach in Mumbai and hence was disappointed.
Burnt garlic noodle;- it had oddles of garlic in the noodles but no veggies! Like what the ....?
Exotic veggies in chill basil sauce :- because of the lack.of veggies in the noodles, ordered this as a saviour. Was a good saviour.

I wanted to try honey noodles as a dessert but was hesitant after the debacle!

Money:- the bill was 1475 which is expensive.

Conclusions :
Can be visited once but with low expectations.

P.S :- the toothpick are peppermint scented, which was a good surprise!!!!!!!!!!!

This place is serves less Indianized Chinese, which makes it worth the while if you're okay with a little bland (but delicious) taste. We ordered noodles and momos, both of which were delectable. Service is excellent. Go try it.
