A residential home dining experience par excellence, Having dined here couple of times, and I can say this is one of the best Goan food experience I have had in goa. The dishes are prepared to perfection and the taste “to die for”. The Stakes, Burgers, Goan dishes, chocolate pudding 😍.

Great family-run place for homemade burgers. Loved their chicken classic burger. Very peaceful ambience, nestled in a lush garden. They have a variety of goan curry options as well.

Tldr: Best Beef burgers and pork vindaloo in Goa, Goan house vibes, plays old English music, Great host. We found this place as we were riding by near Vagator beach and we went to this place twice in the 7 days we were in Goa, we loved it that much. The restaurant is set in the courtyard of a 100 year old house, next to a serene garden. The setting is minimal, the ambience makes one feel like they're dining in the house of their Goan aunt. The host and owner of the restaurant is Pepper, short for Perpetua who is warm and knows her way around cooking delectable Goan fare. She told us the restaurant is over 30 years old and the soul of the place resonates likewise with age and history. We went to get dinner and ordered the beef burgers, which had the best cooked beef we've tasted so far. We also got strawberry juice which was fresh, sweet and sour. For the main we had pork vindaloo, where the pork has been simmered on a low flame for 3 days. The meat was falling off the bone and the gravy was rich, meaty and contained depth without being too heavy. We ate our vindaloo with toasted Goan bread called Poee which was freshly procured for us upon request. For dessert we ate strawberry cheesecake, with cheese that was made from three different cheeses procured locally. The entire meal was accented by the soft flowing lights and old music that prompted one to slow dance. We also had a lovely chat with Pepper and thank her for her hospitality and for the care and attention she gave to each course of our meal. Don't miss eating at this homely restaurant on your next Goa trip!

Must try Goan Food in Vagator. The best home made food. If you are in Vagator and not Visited this place then you are missing your Goan trip experience. Try Burgers, Desserts, Vindaloo, Xacuti and cafreal.

I am a frequent traveler to North Goa. I always prefer to eat authentic homemade Goan food. This was my first time at Salt and Pepper, I guess it’s recently opened by the family. I can’t explain the food in words, you have to eat here to experience it. The family has a heritage house and the seating is in the veranda nice airy ambience. You walk in and you become a part of their family. They are warm folks and the lady is blessed with the culinary skills. The menu is precise. I am a permanent member of this place now. Additional place to look forward to in North Goa. Kids love their burgers! Thousand times better than any restaurant in the neighborhood.

We were walking near to Vagator area, looking for some authentic Goan food and reached this place. Ambience was inviting, so just went inside. We had the best fish curry, served with so much of love and personal touch. Prawns fried in rawa batter were soft inside and crunchy outside. The meal ended with mouth watering strawberry cheese cake. Owner Pepper is a warm lady, whose passion for cooking and serving is quite evident in whatever she serves. Knowing the history of this 100 years old home was icing on the cake. A must visit place in your next Goa trip.
