Review Barkaas Arabic Restaurant - Vijayawada

The best part of the restaurant is the seating area. You are supposed to sit on the seating area created on the floor. Though they also have a table chair kind of seating, but seating on the ground and sharing a meal is a different experience. Other unique part is that the way they serve. The meal is served in large thalis and the whole family can share the meal/ eat together. We tried the vegetarian and non-vegetarion options are they were decent. The fish appetizer was nice. Overall a decent experience. Happy eating!!!!

When i wanted to try mandi in vijayawada i look out for the best place to have mandi and thanks to google for showing me barkasa as a first option and i am so happy with the food mandi along with starters .. must try mixed mandi and fish starter

Do you even call this a biryani? Absolutely no taste,even a roadside biryani tastes much better than this. And the worst thing is that I had to spend 700 for getting disappointed.

This traditional arabic dish, consisting mainly of cottage cheese(paneer) and biriyani rice with a special blend of spices is a must try for all vegans at Barkaas. The traditional arabian tandoori chicken biriyani is the most opted and favourite mandi of the people who come here. With Kheer setting it's bench mark here,it leaves you craving for more of it.

This is the worst restaurant i have ever visited. Food is provided in huge quantities but lame taste. Now coming to the payment. I paid through payway tap and the money was debited. But the management said the dint recive any money and this time they swiped the card and money was debited 2nd time. I showed the message and mini statement but they refuse to return the money. This is the worst situation with digitalization where these kind of people play tricks to steal money. Please take care if you are visiting this place. Worthless place with staff following no ethics.

The good thing about is the biryani the rice is so good when comes to the chicken the quantity is very less. Even the taste of both when compared with biryani chicken isn't that good. Disappointed with the quantity of chicken served.

Food portion is very low.we ordered mutton Mandi full,but the portion served is very low,not even sufficient for 3.otherwise everything is good

This place has served me one of the finest Mandi I ever had. The food was awesome, it looks beautiful and so is the taste. The place is also well maintained. The location and the lighting is charming At some places we can find worn-out Sofa sets, it shall be renewed now and then. It was always too busy and we have to wait a while to get our chance. The hand-wash area is too congested and small that people cannot go in and out easily through that door. We had this Arabian Special Fish for which I was looking forward to visit again. I will definitely recommend this place place if one wants to try Arabian cuisine in the city

Ordered quarter fish biryani. Received food very fast. The fish fillet is very good, biryani is average and the juicy mutton is the worst one.

This hotel is awesome and pocket friendly also specially taste is super and sitting is very new in this location but parking is very problem even we came here with car you will face a lot of problem

To experience out of box it will the best dine for every one BARKAAS - Vijayawada.we ordered chicken BBQ mandi ,and chicken khabbab.. both were tasty and ... One show know the combinations of starters and main cource to have a good and best dine in Vijayawada ... Have fun .

Worst Mandi ever. Is it even Mandi? Not that food is bad, but they are selling something else calling it Mandi and people are eating it thinking it is Mandi. Go here only if you want to eat some decent tasting food served in a huge plate. But if you want to eat Mandi this is definitely not the place...

It's good ,but only issue is with parking. It's hectic when drive your car there. Better drive your car to Barkaas near nri medical college. Ample parking and spacious room compare to city branch.

Mandi? Seriously? They are serving some pulao remix as Mandi. It is no where near to the true Mandi you get in some parts of hyderabad. I am not saying the food is bad, but it’s not Mandi for sure. We People are just eating it because it is served in one huge plate. And huge line and waiting for a seat, definitely not worth it!

When i visited the barkaas i orderd mandi nd i was shockd by seeing size of that🤣but the taste was too awesome but when i ordered it to home it was quite opp to what i opt..the taste when i directly went is different from the taste we ordered..so its better to visit this place than to order online

It's a good place to try variety of non veg in Arabic style.the internal architecture was like in Arabic style.it is a good place for parties and family celebrations.

It's an Arabic cuisine restaurant located parallel road of MG road. Land mark is next lane of DV Manor. It was very crowded in Sunday evening with a waiting queue. The interior will give an Arabian feel,lamps, seating,decor and the serving palate. There menu consist Mandi rice -veg/dajaj (🐔)/mutton(🐐)/Fish(🎏), available in Regular/double/family portion. As sides they have falafal,grilled chicken and fish items. We tried veg Mandi which was basically flavoured rice with chilli paneer on top. BBQ Dajaj means chicken Mandi, same rice with a tandoori chicken leg. Firstly,this is not actual mandi. Mandi means rice cooked overnight with the juice of meat mainly lamb/beef/camel. Here the Ricc was like some coloured rice,not Mandi. The rice seriously lacked the taste,it was very dry and hard to chew. The chilly paneer was bed in taste and high on food color. Fingers are still red after two handwashing. After the utter disappointment,I ordered grilled fish, this was the highlight of the night. A big portion of boneless basa fish. This was delicious,well done. Price is moderate, but food needs improvement. Happy eating

Barkas is an Arabic restaurant.The ambience, seating everything are different.I would suggest you to book before going otherwise you would end up waiting especially in the nights.Mandi here is delicious.Mandi is different from biryani.Its milder and healthy than biryani.Fish Mandi here is amazing.You should definitely try this.

Following my gut feeling entered this place with some dilema and trying to be positive as had my team along with me who were depending on my decision... Excellent food and ambience, but watch out for the bowel movements afterwards! It cannot be a coincidence if all the persons in your group suffer from indigestion after eating at the same place.The area allocated to wash hands was EXTREMELY dirty and smelly. Definitely would visit again if I want a tasty and filling meal, but the unhygienic conditions would always make me think twice.

Food is tasty, fish is really good, only annoying thing is waiting, you can go with friends and manage but it would be difficult to dine here with children or elderly family members. 4*for food but 2* for the management in customer handling.

Barkaas Arabic Restaurant the name itself gets you some good vibes about drool worthy food.<br/>Starting with the ambiance it has great lanterns and tent's like roofing just to make you feel like you're in a proper Arabian restaurant there are two kinds of seating facilities one is of couches spread on the floor with a centre table on which the thali of Mandi will be served and the second type of seating is the usual dinner table but if you what to enjoy the food in to the utmost level with that feel of an Arabian then you should opt for the 1st seating style. This restaurant is pretty famous here in Vijayawada so we decided to try them out as we entered we were received in a pleasing way the staff were very nice to us well mannered all credits goes to the management for hiring such great staff and maintaining restaurant in such a good way and after a wait of 10 mins we ordered Dajaj BBQ Mandi single which costed rs 229, be it single or full Mandi is actually served in a huge thali this single plate made it messy for us to eat ( a point where I felt this has to be changed) coming back to the food it had three kinds of chutney Raita ,Tomato, mirchi ka saag and then a tangy chutney .The rice was topped with salad which had slices of cucumber, carrot & onion each and not to forget the Cashew nuts and fried onions garnished with coriander leaves the BBQ chicken was perfect so juicy, a perfect blend of masala's and tenderness rice was also good but it wasn't hot enough maybe it was already made that's the reason it wasn't hot enough when served one thing which I really loved about this place is the architecture the lanterns the wall hangings everything seemed to be perfect 😊 waiting to visit them soon 💕

Me and my brother went to this restaurant on 16th nov 2018 almost at 10:30pm but it is crowded at that moment also. The menu simple they serve arabian mandi biryani with desired non veg item like fish, barbeque chicken, mutton, steak etc. They have one or two desserts in menu. The ambience is good feels like we are in tent in desert. Option for portion also simple for one person order single biryani, for two order half mandi, for four or five order full mandi. We order half mandi barbeque it is tasted good. They given two soup gravies they tasted so good. The price is very resonable for what they giving for 359/- rupees they have given barbeque arabian mandi. It contains one chicken chest and complete leg of chicken. It is the best place for gang people who want to eat biryani with good taste and good price. And all the friends eating in one big plate gives you some memories too.everybody must try mix non veg arabian mandi for 1299/- which is sufficient for 5 people.<br/>

Not tastey steak mandi is not at all nice the steak is coated with curd and the rice is not having any masala taste also the rice seem to be added more tarmeric the taste change a lot and the rice is not cooked properly quantity of steak is very less i.e 3 steak pieces but her mutton mandi is really good I will give 5/5 for it but steak mandi not cooked at all don't order it

After reading reviews and from hearsay I decided to dine here with my family. First impressions, this is not a place for ambience. Small place with mixed seating of usual restaurant type - chair & table and other seating is on mattress like the Mediterranean style. Now the food, limited menu options. Since it is a weekend, waiters are rushing you through the order, literally making you order what they suggest. I tried to find more about the items on the menu, but the waiter is like, "sir, order this as starter and this as main course". So I was made to order a Turkish Grill Chicken starter and Chicken BBQ Biryani as main course. The starter was ok, but the biryani tasted just like a Biryani at any other numerous food joints/ mess/night stalls at food court. The only difference is in the price (stall at a food court charges 100rs, Barkaas charged me 359 for half) and of course the chicken piece. Huge chicken piece is served, which is coated with chillies and added colour. Absolutely no flavor to the rice nor the chicken piece. Probably other items with mutton/fish might have tastes better, but that is for another time. Next time I will try the mixed platter and either change my opinion or completely write off this restaurant.

The place is small, looks as if you are in an Arabic outlet with Arabic seating. They serve biryani with different type of chicken and mutton as if grill/barbecue etc. In a big plate that can serve 2-4 people. I was served a Damm cold biryani when asked they haven't answered anything. So I am going for less rating I don't find biryani more tasteful as well. 2/5 would be my rating for the biryani.

the food was of poor quality. the steamed rice was not properly boiled and was of poor quality. <br/>even quantity was less when it was take away. <br/>the order consists of chicken wings which are not that much tasty as expected and were getting a foul smell may be because of packing in aluminum foil <br/>refund me back for that

This place is Vijayawada serves the best Arabian cuisine. We have ordered mixed Non-veg barbeque Handi. This comes with a combination of Chicken, mutton and fish grilled in the barbeque style. This was the first time that I have seen that Arabian food is served along with raita and Mirchi ka salan. The rice is cooked very well and it was Soo yummy that you can feel the aroma of Arabian flavor from it. It costs around Rs.1200/- and can easily serve for 5 people. So you will feel the value for money. The service here is also very good and food will be served at your table in less than 30 minutes. It is also has ambience that gives the feel of arabic style. Do visit this place whenever you go to Vijayawada. It is located in Labbipet. Have good food and great day😊
