Loved this place. The ambience is awesome. Very friendly staff and food is very tasty. I loved rose milk the most as dessert. Pure authentic meals.i would have given 10 rating out of five.
It is so good compared to the one in kakinada. Ambience is top notch. There are 2 floors each for normal meals and special meals. Normal meals cost 170 rs. Special meals is 260rs. Special meals will have more items than normal meals. All the items are very good. Their service is excellent. Sweets are very tasty. There are many different curries and all tastes good. Must try if you are visiting Vijayawada.

Subbayya Gari Hotel is the brain child of Shree Subbayya garu. His unique ability to combine ingredients in a perfect proportion using the finest and freshest ingredients made him bring out the best taste of traditional food of the land. Mr. Subbayya's passion towards bringing the delicious and hygienic food at an affordable cost made him to streamline his efforts to open a mess. Ultimately, in 1950, with the support staff of 10 people, he opened a small mess and started serving meals for just 50 paisa.
Later In 1955, Mr. Subbayya had moved the mess to Kakinada, a town in East Godavari District in Andhra Pradesh and named it as Sri Krishna Vilas. His immense efforts, home-like hospitality and of course the love for the art of cooking soon spread far & wide and this tiny mess evolved into the legendary Subbayya Gari Hotel.
Had lunch on 13-6-23 @Rs.260/-. Really delicious. The waiters are polite and even advise us the various combinations of the food to try. Only vegetarian food available here. So many items that most of us can't even taste. They should stop serving some items if anyone dont want/like any item.

The atmosphere and place was decent and very good the service is fast and when you compare the food to the kakinada and Vijayawada restaurant in Vijayawada the taste is not up to the Mark where they're providing in kakinada the sepical meal price was 260rs and normal meal price is 160rs in weekend if you visit this place after 1pm there will be waiting time upto minimum 20 mins and they're having seperate sitting for the both type of meals here in the vijaywada and restaurant is located in 1st floor in the ground floor they have sweets and savouries, pickles, chocolates, chat item's , cakes and curries they're selling seperately
Food is quite good most of the time, The dine-in experience is also unique but crowded. Take out is preferred here if you are a local person and gives enough space to try their famous BUTTA BOJANAM. Curry point facility is also available here with a wide variety of regular and special items available. Sweets, confectioners, pickles and podis are also available here for purchasing.
Perfect meal with 32 varieties. I’ve never ever seen service like this hotel. They are friendly and telling us combos to eat like mothers. Food was palatable. Thanku so much to each and everyone who have is best experience
Amazing food, neat place, friendly staff. We were served food by a young chap called Suresh, who explained all the dishes and also asked us to try them, very pro-active guy and friendly. Meals costed about 160/- lots of dishes to try. I suggest that this place is a must try, for travellers who would like to have Andhra Meals.
As we know that Subbayya Gari hotel was pure vegetarian 🥗 .The food was superb and will have different types of items and the staff was very good,For kids you can try kids meals,the staff and service was good 😊
