Since childhood when we were in Visakhapatnam, it was one of our frequently visited restaurants. As we went to Visakhapatnam to attend a family function for one day from hyderabad, we just don't want to miss visiting this restaurant. While heading to the airport, we went there just to have filter coffee, which is just WoW. The taste n aroma is just simply flavourful. The restaurant needs an upgradation as it looks a little bit old and gloomy. The service is fast as before, and the staff are cordial. But the hygiene n neatness of the table cleaning n all needs some immediate attention. We even want to pack their famous rasmalai in their sweet counter, honey dew. But, they advised packing to have a spillage for the long distance. So I couldn't take that, but the taste is just mouth watering n very yummy.

Love Daspalla! Reputation and quality has been consistent for the last 15+ years. Had a fulfilling vegetarian thali for lunch. Very filling and exquisite taste. A bit spicy for those who care for a milder taste. However, for indian food and for the local folk it’s perfect. Great food choices, poori, kaju korma, desserts, samovar etc. Service was great!

Dharani restaurant is part of Daspalla hotel which is very famous 4 star hotel of Vizag. This place is famous for vegitarian food and specially the Dharani Special thali . The place was quite crowded when I visited but the manager has given me a beeping device which started to beep once my table was ready. Food was tasty and was presented well. The prices were not much expensive. Thali was unlimited with very good taste. The ambience is ok and sitting was comfortable. Overall this place comes recommended for thali lovers is south Indian style.

This place has a great bonding loads of memories. Evert time I dine-in, a quick rewind goes and leaves a smile..! As a kid it was Daspalla Executive Food Court, Vizag I was crazy about & use to wait eagerly for my Dad to drives us all the way 20kms on his Chetak every alternate weekend.. The fish tank below the stairs.. The comic book stall beside the lobby.. One of the waiter who use to serve me little food on thali plate just for me with no charge (it was when I am small and never use to eat a lot but still wanted my food to be served in a Thali plate).. My first lift experience.. playing with fellow kids and lot more .. Best veg restaurant in Visakhapatnam and butter naan with paneer butter masala just tastes heaven here must try in here. Daspalla has been serving since many years and retains one of the the best vegetarian restaurants in visakhapatnam. Be it meals or tiffins or rotis /naans with curry it has served the best.

I think a 4.25 is the best score to this restaurant. Got to visit this place with my mom, atta and mavayya on 8th Aug. We ordered ourselves two veg thalis and main course special with ice cream. The veg thali was just ok and there was nothing new or special to talk about. The main course meal was good as the tandoori naan was buttery and soft. Secondly the pulav was nice, the green vegetables curry was well cooked and sufficient too. The paneer curry was good. But the sprouts was a big let down. The grape juice with the thali was really good and it was the only stand out for me. The ice cream and brownie was good but I felt it was missing something. There's a scope for improvement.

South Indian Meal was very delicious. Unlimited around 300 INR each but limited variety. Service was great and parking too. Try pickles and podi. 1-1:30 pm is good time to visit and after that it gets crowded and you need to wait for a while to be seated. Also Parking gets full.

Visited with family, it’s located at ground floor in Hotel Daspalla, you have to take left at Reception Desk to reach this restaurant. There is another way to reach the restaurant from car parking area. It has two floor restaurants, we get tiffins, North Indian style lunch and Thali meals here. Observed it’s busy, service takes time. Felt quality and taste are very good. Ambiance and view are very nice.

Interior - Its been recently renovated & the sitting area has huge with 1st floor also. The structure has been same for more than 30+ years for this resturant Food - This place serves pure vegetarian food as as such pure veg options in the city are very limited. They are one of the oldest hotel in city with almost 50+ year in the same place. They are famous for their tiffins/breakfast n you can try everything over here and wont be disappointed at all, they serve one of the longest single dosa of almost 4 feet long. Also their veg andhra meals is famous from many years for the quality & quantity (1 meals is sufficient for the family of 3-4 people). You should definitely the meals here and wont be disappointed at all One of the oldest & classic hotel in the vizag with limited options but make sure you will be satisfied with it

Amazing taste and courteous staff. Breakfast at Daspalla is so many levels better than many of my recent experiences. In the day and age when the menus boast of varieties but fail to deliver, places like Daspalla stand up with simple but delicious fare. Thanks for sticking to basics!!

Hailing from Hyderabad, I was always curious to go to Daspalla, Vizag. After a long wait got the chance to visit them. I we ordered for a south Indian thali and rava masala dosa. Thali was good, Sambhar was the highlight. Even the rava dosa was fine. Food: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 3.5/5

A wonderful place for breakfast as well as any other meals. Excellent dosas' and fluffy idlis and a well rounded south Indian thali. Fast service and efficient, however be prepared to wait during dinner and at all meal timings on Sundays and holidays!

Dharani in Daspalla serves typical South Indian veg thali along with other veg delicacies.. Great ambience, very friendly staff Typical South Indian food is what we got to taste in our South Indian thali.. right from the papdams, pickles, sambhar, currys(ideally sabjis),pipping hot rice,rasam, podi, ghee...everything was yumm... When you are a resident of Mumbai you surely miss good authentic Andhra food and our cravings are satisfied every year by a visit to dharani😊😊

One of the best parts of our Vizag trip. Went to RK beach and chose this place for lunch. It was so delicious and service was quick and staff were so nice to customers. Really liked the way they treat the customers. We had the regular thali. No complaints with any of the items served. Went again next day for dinner with parents. Even they liked the food there. A bit crowded at peak hours, so plan for it. Would go again whenever I come back to Vizag.

We ordered a dharani thali of 170 and i must say the food was awesome and everything in that thali was 10/10 especially d grapes juice 😋. But on my 2nd visit the food was not as great as I expected it would be after my 1st visit. Also the food was served cold so it took away the mood. I am a huge fan of Thali at Dharani. They have increased the prices so much that a Thali costed me ₹325. Out of that GST is ₹50. Which comes down to ₹275. That’s a very high price. Taste also changed and quality is not there Had dosa, idly and dosa platter. It was average

Dharani is a nice place to have breakfast and start your day. I would recommend having plain dosa and mango juice for breakfast. The plain dosa at this place is very crisp,thin and waffery . Five different chutneys to taste. The dosa goes well with Mango juice which is just yumm. The ambiance is good too. Calm and peaceful place. Service is quick. A little expensive. It costed me 170 bucks for both dosa and mango juice. Try this place out in the mornings.

Once we ordered kadahi paneer n baby corn in cashew gravy both were awesome. The second time we went we ordered the daspalla platter which was mind blowing and cheese chilly which was also good. Drive on beach road, Dolphin's Nose and Daspalla Hotel . . This is what Vizag was always popular for ! A lot of localities would have very fond memories of this good old place . . While the thali n other stuff is decent, would still recommend you try their usual Tiffin selection. Not to forget, this is where you have the best coffee in town !!

This restaurant was good 10-12 years ago. The quality of food is deteriorated. We have ordered Special Meals and taken back by what was included. The gravy's and curries provided did not have authentic Andhra touch. On asking they provided Ghee, which didnt have any aroma, it was oil and not Ghee. They provide fritters with food instead of papad.. Please maintain the authenticity of food

such is their courteous and prompt service, you will love it. most check-ins here are during lunch for their special thali (North Indian as well as the South). North Indian has nan,puri chole, jalebi and other NI items, along with south indian dishes as their additions with compared with the normal south indian thali. the dal(pappu) was thick and will really gel up ur andhra taste buds with the podi powder, mixed with rice and ghee. the curries like papaya curry, coconut mix veg, bhindi fry was crispy and very well cooked with rasam and sambhar. non oily and delicious meal to savour with sherbet and pan as their complimentary items. must visit if you want to have a authentic andhra meal.

Superb restaurant. Have been visiting it for as long as I remember. My parents have been coming here since the late 80s. Thali, dosas and idlys are superb. Watermelon juice or grape juice served with thalis is usually pretty good. A definite must if you want to try authentic veg Andhra Thali at reasonable rates. Service is pretty quick and sometimes there's a queue.

The first thing you notice about this place is the hustle and the smell of good food. We ordered the south indian thali. Prompt service and the hustle went hand in hand. The food tasted like home. The complimentary grape juice was bad though. And the decor was very functional. The food partly made up for it. If the place could get an uplift and fine tuning, it could stand neck to neck with its sister branch in Hyderabad. It is nice to see the restaurant employing female staff. Rarely do you see a restaurant serving ghee at the beginning and paan at the end of a meal nowadays.
