It is a worth visiting place and the service is also very good.
The place took my heart as soon as I entered. It's a restaurant in a bungalow, beautifully designed and decorated. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Coming to the food it gave me the feels of being in South India while in Ahmedabad. Lovely experience. A must visit place!

Being a malayali I usually steer clear of fusion South Indian places but kovallam was a welcome surprise
With menu options ranging from nice authentic options and a mix of some fusion recipes it’s overall a delicious affair.
The molgapodi idli and rava Dosa were my favs! The dhinchak cheese Dosa is a must try for cheese lovers in the city.
The malabar Parotha could improve ( it was bit non flaky ) + they need to have more South Indian based dessert options in the menu too.
Overall definitely a place to visit for a nice meal with family.

Ordered bissi belle rice and dhinchak dosa. Pure south indian taste dosa was really amazing. Hotel service is good. The quantity was very good with reasonable price. Rice were very good in taste it was spicy and very good. The restaurant is worth it.
I ordered bissi belle rice and dhinchak dosa i t was so delicious. Normally i don't eat rice at home bt here i ate it it was too good .Also the service was very good . I think that if u are a south Indian lover u should visit this. Also the price was reasonable.
Food- good food especially sambhar and chatni ( both white and green). Dosa is also good.

The place is located just behind the Municipal Mark et, The ambience is quite calm and relaxing.
The dosa which we ordered were good.
The bhaji could be better , the sambhar was good , the red chatni was excellent !!

The use of plants and water just adds the right touch. While I am not South Indian, I believe the dish’s we ordered were very good. Seating is limited but the service is excellent. They have an underground and above ground kitchen - something I have not noticed before in Ahmedabad. Check the daily specials board or ask your waiter. Parking is limited so best to use the valet service. For a unique dining experience, check out Kovallam - you will not be disappointed. Finish your meal with their addictive coconut shira and some filter coffee.

Butter Garlic masala dosa was good,
Spring roll dosa was stuffed with veggies so you like,
Sambhar and Chutney is awesome.
Having coconut Shira in desert was quite good and must try.

Very Nice Place to have amazing authentic South Indian Food in Ahmedabad. Very nice service and food tastes very good and a very much southern flavours. This place has very good ambience. You can go and enjoy the taste of South with your friends or family.
