Good food. It's really good for the kathiyawadi lovers as they have very good kathiyawadi food items unlimited. Especially on summer mango ras is delicious. Really nice.
Updating this review a bit late. Visited this restaurant/Dining hall twice. Both time it was Sunday and the menu was same. So I can say that they use to have daywise fixed menu.
I was craving for Gujarati Thali and came across on Zomato about it.
Expectation was not high but once I reached there I found that it was AC dining hall. Seats were comfortable and dinning space was chilled. The taste of food is good and the staff is also good along with their service.
There wasnt any Farsan, sweet in menu. Only 1 type of roti (tava chapati).
Buttermilk and papad - 1 serve only then charges are extra. I think that is how they are able to manage a Gujarati thali in Rs.130/-.
I loved the food.
P.S - Payment mode only Cash. No cards, paytm, dineout, etc..

The most sumptuous and Best Gujarati Thali of town. All non-Gujju must visit this place and try for once the authentic taste, flavor, aroma and fragrance of Gujarati cuisine; it will also burst the myth that Gujju food is all sweet and sweet.
We do are sweet at heart, but our cuisine shows shades varying from sour,sweet,spicy and tangy.
Its as authentic as cooked by any Gujarati mom.

Today was my fifth visit to this place and I am happy to share that it was my best Gujarati food ever. Superb menu awesome quality of dal. I love to visit this place again, again and again. You can have food like home.. Tatse is purely as home. They are very good at service. Whoever living away from home they should try at least once..

The best budget thali in Ahmadabad. The thali is priced at 130 Rs. The food is very wholesome and delicious. It doesn't have farsan or sweet. They have very good vegetables.

The taste was really good and clean atmosphere i would recommend friends and viewers to enjoy the food.
We visited the Ashram while me and my friend were on our all India tour. The ashram is well maintained and has captured significant moments from the past that depict Gandhi's contribution and personality well. It's a good place to hang around too if you want some personal quite time.
There is ample parking available. Best to visit before 5PM since it closes by 6PM.

A Very Energetic Sabarmati Gandhi ji Ashram. And Full Of Motivation Place About Strong Historical Memories.

*There should be a ban on entering the Sabarmati Ashram wearing shoes*
Calm, clean, well maintained place. Nature blessed the ashram by means of the river and trees.
Gandhi museum captured several historical movements with photos and illustration. You can enjoy the place irrespective of your ideology or religion.
It's a serene experience. Beautiful river view. Museums. You will get to see different Spinning wheels from Gandhi's time.
People here consider him equivalent to god I guess since I saw few elderly women touching his feet ,folding hands Infront of his statute for blessing. Gandhi's house was there. If your are curious enough to visit. Spotted some foreigners too.
Anyway ,great couple spot. It's a big place without much disturbance. So can take your girlfriend and spend some time talking in the staircase ,looking at the Sabarmati river.
Overall experience is good inside the Ashram. But not outside it. You can't find a restaurant nearby. So have your breakfast,lunch before going.
Well maintained, very neat & clean, meditative, silent & aligned with Gandhi Spirit. Simplicity is the best. No tickets are required. Sufficient parking. Must visit Khadi bhandar they have very good handcraft stuff. Food restaurants are across the road, in front of ashram.
If you are Gandhi fan and want to know anything about him from the beginning. This is the place.
This place has free parking, no entry fees and huge space to explore. Good for kids in school and travellers from outside India.

Sabarmati Ashram is located on the bank of sabarmati river, 6 km from the town hall.
This was one of the many residences of Mahatma Gandhi lived at sabarmati and sevagram.

If you are a Gandhian or influenced by his ideals and beliefs, then it is a must place to visit. You'll also get to see the room that he worked out of and the ashram he set up with his wife Kasturba and also a first hand view of how he translated his belief system into living a daily life for himself and the ashram inmates
You can also spend time near Sabarmati River. Great build quality and well maintained surrounding & also you can buy some of arts, books, history novels etc.
It was a good feeling to go back in time to experience history by being there. The place has been well maintained with lots and lots of things from that time. The place provides good amount of information with relatable timelines along with pictures from those particular events. The verandah provides an amazing view of river front and a lot of greenery keeps the place lively. This place is a must visit for all the history lovers.
