4.0 in Multi-cuisine restaurants ( Alibaug ) Its spring time & the sea breeze isn’t really our best friend. When we got an invite to review Aieroc we were honestly a bit sceptical until they told us it was away from the blistering beach, and since we had heard that it was a popular haunt in Surat, we were quite excited to see what the buzz was about. Tucked away in the bylanes of Chendre, Aieroc is part of Big Splash, a well-known Resort & Spa. The restaurant has three seating areas – indoor ( air-conditioned ), al fresco by the pool & the bar. The indoor section of the restaurant has a pop of blue, yellow & green along with a nautical/beachy theme with a boat bookcase, coconut shell lamps, ship steering wheels; some placed subliminally & some you cannot miss. The Alfresco section is outlined with beautiful plants & bushes that overlook Big Splash’s beautiful blue pool. The bar, stocked with quite a collection of happy juices, has a quirkiness to it with its Eiffel tower stools & tables. Aieroc offers its patrons a variety of cuisines ranging from Konkani to continental, Chinese to Mughlai & so on. We had quite a lot to eat and drink, but here are some things we recommend: California Chi Chi : A refreshing mix of orange crush, lemon juice, topped up with cranberry. Lemon Caprioska: Lemon, Orange Crush, Sprite, muddled with mint. A simple classic. Canadian BBQ Salad : Grilled chicken tossed in a BBQ & orange dressing & served with seasonal vegetables along with olives as garnish. The highlight of the dish was the crisp braid that crowned the salad. These braids were made by frying shredded Rumali Rotis with a light orange glaze. Prawns / Chicken Tacos : Butter tossed Prawn or Chicken tucked in a taco shell with lettuce, olives, bell peppers topped with pico de gallo & a generous dollop of sour cream. Tandoori Veg Platter : Platters are normally something we avoid so we are just as surprised are you are to be adding this to our recommendation list! The platter presents an assortment of well-marinated vegetables and cottage cheese – Broccoli Tikka Masala, Multani Mushroom, Potato Tikka Masala, Malai Paneer & Paneer Tikka. If we had to pick a favourite from the five was the mushroom hands down. Sea Food Platter : The marinade of each fish was based on Konkani spices. The fish served ed on the platter were – Pomphret, Rawas, Surmai & Prawn. The fish was very fresh, marinated beautifully & married the chutney served alongside really well. Murgh Musallam : Gasps were heard across the room when this dish entered! Tandoored Chicken dosed in Chefs special mussallam masala placed upon a bed of rice. We LOVED this dish and even though we were totally stuffed we hogged and how! We do see a lot of potential in this establishment and hope they surprise us just as much on our next visit. #EOAP

Awesome Pizza Pasta and superb service ... this place is like a hidden treasure... we being group of 24 people looking for pizzeria in Alibaug (as for last 2 days we were eating and enjoying Malwani and North Indian food) To our surprise the place was really nicely done, good modern interior (anchor and ship theme ) ... can easily accommodate 30-35 people There is a bar as well.. serving nice range of drinks ... Staffs were very friendly and professional High recommendation for this place 👍🏼

Location and proximity from Station: You can find Aieroc which is a 30 minute drive away from the Alibaug Ferry stop. For those who plan to come via Bombay, all they need to do is hop on a ferry which would take them less than an hour to be here and then a 30 minute drive towards Aieroc. Ambiance and seating: Aieroc is like a resort with all amenities. The restaurant has seating in air conditioned,at the bar (a different area) and also for outdoor (besides the pool). I liked the bar area more because it was secluded to a different area. It can accommodate around 10-15 people at once. For the air conditioned are they can seat around 30-40 people. The outdoor can accommodate another 20 at max.The ambiance was more towards the theme of the sea and boats. We liked it. Food and Drinks (Appetizers): We began with few mocktails like; Lemon Caprioshka - A simple orange flavored drink with mint and sprite. Basic necessity during this heaty weather. California Chi Chi - Here, the main star is the cranberry. The drink also has orange and lemon juice too. We liked the former more. The bartender was also very kind enough to let us try a signature whisky based cocktail. We liked the taste. For those who’d like to try a new combination have nothing to worry as he is always up for experimentation. Canadian BBQ Salad - The total essence of BBQ could be felt here in this salad with every bite. Apart from the regular veggies, the chicken grilled and tossed in BBQ was the star as we couldn’t get enough of it. It tastes really well too and should be the best way to start the meal. Chicken Lasagna - I like my lasagna. Here too, they made a good attempt and I would call it decent. They made it a bit spicy and maybe that could have been avoided. Rest everything was perfect. Chicken Tacos - The tacos here had good presentation. The chicken was butter tossed in a taco shell. There were veggies with sour cream too. The taste was good but not that it could have been better. Maybe a bit of spice was missing. Tandoori Veg Platter - I guess this was the only veg item that we tried. A platter is always good for a sharing table and also for the prime reason that you get to try a lot of options. Here too, they had paneer tikka, malai paneer, mushroom and brocolli tikka. We liked the malai paneer a lot. It really tasted well. Sea Food Platter : As mentioned earlier, a platter is always a good option. Here too the platter did not disappoint. We had Pomfret, Surmai, Prawns and Rawas. The marination was well done and my clear favorite was the surmai. I so wish they added the Bombay duck here as it would be epic. Murgh Musallam - Yes, the highlight of the day happened to be the last dish we tried I.e. the murgh musallam. This chicken was grilled on the tandoor and the masala applied was a chef special. It was thick enough and very tasty enough to make sure you finish it all at once. Conclusion: Overall, Aieroc fulfills the purpose of good food along with so many amenities that I wouldn’t be surprised if you end up staying the night here for more food. They have a good chef, bartender and staff who are always there to help you select the best of the best dishes off the menu.
