The is a very old shop selling samosa in Prayagraj. This is their only shop. Located in the old part of the city market. The samosa is really good, nothing like you'll find somewhere else. If you come to Prayagraj do visit this place.

A popular and very famous Indian snacks shop in old Allahabad. This shop is located in the Chowk area. You have to take a small walk in the extremely crowded area in order to reach out for the desi ghee goodies. It's not less than a challenge to reach Hari Ram. Now let's talk about the snacks first. The most famous snack here is mini samosa. The miniature-sized samosas spell magic from the first bite that you take. Though expensive these samosas can be purchased by their weight. Also try their"khatta chana"-- roasted black grams. The black grams are coated heavily in dry spices and are hot to eat. So be careful, don't fill your mouth with a spoonful otherwise... (you can understand what is going to happen next). Then there are several varieties of namkeens for your taste buds. Must try are some namak para, roasted masala peanuts. They also have khasta kachoris. Every snack is prepared in desi ghee (pure butter) which one can easily make out. The saddest part is that there is no sign board to guide you to the shop once you alight from the cycle rickshaw in the Chowk area. Another disappointment is cash payment. The person at the counter insists on cash from customers. I could not even see Paytm or Google pay signboard in the shop. In modern time this is totally unacceptable. Overall a happy experience buying snacks from Hari Ram. The only thing is that the shopkeeper too should keep pace with changing technology and take care of customer convenience.
