Being resident of RR Nagar, Kaapi Kaatte is one of my favourite place for Breakfast alongside Kaapi (coffee) or Tea (Ginger; Masala; Green; Lemon etc) One of The Pocket Friendly restaurant in entire Bangalore. In 100 ₹, will get almost all the breakfast items served here and sufficient for 2 to 3 people… :) Beauty here is you will get 2 Idlies/10 ₹ and Half Kaapi/Tea/ 5 ₹ which makes it out of the world. Always crowed for Kaapi/Tea from early morning especially famous among morning walkers and continues throughout the Day till the shutter pulls down.
Items Served for Breakfast are Idly; Vade; Rava Idly; Chow Chow Bhath; Dose – Plain; Masale Special Items served (Menu changes Day/Time): Different Rice Bhath (Bisibele; Puliyogare; Veg/Paneer Palav etc.) and Curd Rice. Special Dosas (Noon time) : Uddin Dose (Set); Onion; Ragi; Sprouts etc.Also serve the Snacks items (Mirchi Bhajji; Masala Vada etc) and Cold Beverages.
Kaapi (Coffee) is definitely good here… same time for Tea lovers Masala Tea; Ginger Tea is must try.

TIPS: Place order for Dose first and by the time it gets ready, you can pick the other items – Idly; Vada; Chow Chow Bhath etc which get served quickly.Tea/Coffee have to wait for some time during pick hours.
Kaapi Katte is one the budget friendly place in Bangalore. It's a self service restaurant. You will get idli, dosa, vada etc South Indian food here. This place is famous for their special choco coffee too.

Must try is their iconic idli vada and chutney. Watery and spicy chutney served with soft vadas and steaming hot idlis.... Their ghee masala dosa is also very very good which is served with gatti (thick) chutney. Overall a must try place for South Indian affordable food. And ofcourse don't miss the filter coffee!
Decent place for hot beverages and evening snacks. The prices are reasonable, service is pretty fast. Two wheeler parking available nearby, four wheeler parking is difficult. Fast moving crowd, seating available inside.

This has now topped one of my favourite go to places for Idli & Vada! ❤️😍 Oh man the chutney! Absolutely delicious. This will definitely 🔝 on the best Chutneys in Bengaluru. Chutney here can compete with the likes of Taza Thindi, and they are super tasty. Right amounts of spice, coconut, chillies, there’s a lot of balance here. I really loved it.
Even the Idlis are super soft and super tasty! Vadas are good but are very small. I just feel they should improve the size of it. We actually rode from Kanakapura Road all the way just to try these. Coffee is just alright nothing too special, could’ve been better.
Service is super quick, they have 3 payment counters and a huge team inside for serving and packaging for takeaways.
Seating inside is limited, 75% standing and 25% sitting.

As my family was out of town, me and my best friend thought of trying few dishes at Kaphi Katte.
They serve breakfast dishes and they do have a special menu everyday which keeps changing. We were not that lucky to taste any of them.
The time by which we reached here was almost 09:00pm,we had only Idli Vada Kesaribath and Dosa options for the menu.
We order Idli chutney and Medu-Vada Chutney with Kesaribath. Idli was hot n moist and soft to go best with the chutney, Medu Vada was fried perfect to have it's crispy crunchy feel while taking a bite with the tasty coconut green chutney.
We loved the Kesaribath the most, it was very authentic relating to the Pooja Prasada given by the Priest. It's was very tasty white in colour and had pieces of cut pineapple making it more mouth watering.
They have only few spots for seating and relishing the food. They have tables where we have to have to the standing still most Loved spot of Rajarajeshwari Nagar for breakfast and it's Filter coffee.
The road ahead of this hotel is under construction, you might need to take deviations.
It lacks wheelchair access as one has to climb about 10-15 steps to get to the hotel floor. For coffee lovers hardly one step is needed to cross.
